The idea of choosing audience over niche is super logical and makes things so easy. Rather than completely imagining an ideal customer for our selected niche, starting with a well defined profitable customer makes market research so much easier. Thank you for this much needed lesson.
Hearing that you ditched the niches and go with an audience instead, is EVERYTHING! I started thinking that way and now I am working on trying to figure out what products to create that won't bore me to pieces. lol. Fabulous video!
Good sugestions! I’ve actually heard of people with successful shops making their first few sales after 6 months of openning. I think it depends what you are selling and the amount of time and effort you put into it. I wouldn’t be so radical about this
Hello Dylan, I'm a new Etsy seller. What is the common reason why I only get a lot of favorite and cart item notification from buyers. What prevents them from checking out their order? I tried to send them a voucher code, but it didn't get draw their attention.
They may favorite your product and in a few days buy it but that is not necesary. They are allways looking for more. Like favorite 5 of them and at the end buy one.
I have a similar issue. I wonder if my images don't show it's real value or perhaps they are waiting for it to be discounted more. I hear that the majority of time when someone favors something, it's like a bookmark so they can come back for it later. Not sure though.

I have had a few shops that went nowhere. I now have a new one but it says it was established in 2013 ( which was the date of my first shop) Is this unusual and is there any way to get Etsy to change that. I am loving all the videos Dylan!
