Hannah, another question. Do you have a video on how to make t-shirts? I checked all your videos and I do not see one. What I mean is per example what size the print must be, where to buy merchandise for other platforms then Etsy and Shopify and which printing platform to use for other platforms then Etsy and Shopify. Plus, maybe more steps that I'm not even aware of.... Again, thank you! You are the best! 💞🤍💞
Definitely just saved this so I can go back and write down the ideas. I have a digital shop on Etsy but some of the ideas, I never thought about. Thanks for sharing!
I really want to help open an account that is about to be closed or send at least a message to convince support to get my account back because once I set up a store that was closed for no reason I don't know maybe because I live in Morocco or for other reasons I don't know please help me or create an Etsy account and send it as a gift to me I really need to work to help a charity that cares about helping homeless animals
@@hannahebeling Hi I have watched your video and started creating a new account, but as soon as it was completed, it was closed without justification, so I ask you to help send a message explaining the proper registration method without closing my account to remind me I am following you from Morocco
How do you work around copyright/trademark stuff for any design work? Isn’t stock images, basic designs in canva, and things alike all owned by someone else?
I check all phrases I want to use in a trademark checker. As for images on sites like Canva and kittl, as long as you are transforming in some way (adding text, multiple graphics), you are free to sell them.
I'm confused about the digital downloads, the customer purchases the download and then print it themselves? How does that work, their printer at home has all the colors of the download? How do they manage to print the larger size. I'm a total newbie and out of the people I know there's probably two that have printers at home. This is so embarrassing, I'm 62, I'm looking into these forms of making money 'cause I want to take my Grandkids to Disney. Thank you so much for posting this video, it's very informative and your voice is so supportive.
There are two options people usually do with digital downloads. One is print it at home, the other is people send it to be printed at someplace like Vista print/Walmart depending on what it is. Some stores offer instructions on how to do this but others don’t. Another option is to integrate your shop with Printify (I have a video on this) and for an additional charge you can actually print the item for them and mail it to them. Most of the time I’d a customer buys a digital download they will find a way to print by themselves.
Hi Hannah, I want to start selling digital items such as size charts, coloring pages and other ideas you mentioned. What size in pixels on Canva do you recommend making these items so they are optimized correctly for the buyer?
If you are doing printable PDFs that people will download, I would tend to design in inches instead of pixels. I typically default to what the standard size is for that type of item, so for coloring pages I might do 8.5x11 or A2 size. You can look this up online or see what other shops are selling for sizing.
Another great video! Where would I go to find these public domain ebooks? I have seen a couple other (older) videos about it but it was said that KPD frowns on it- perhaps those were about selling PLR e-books. ha. I am confused but I am sure you can clarify for me, thank you.
You can look up all of the new works that have come into the public domain for the current year on google. What KDP typically frowns on is publishing what is already out there. You need to make sure your version is transformative and not just another copy. This can be by including a few illustrations, photos, commentary, collection of books or more.
Yes I do! Mainly Instagram! I actually talk about this in a couple videos. The best place to start might be my “double your sales with social media video.”
That's a great video!! I have a question, how do you find the best digital products to sell on etsy? It would be interesting if you can make a video to teach us ho to find the best products with high in search and with low competition
Unless it somehow coordinates with the niche of your t-shirts (like vacation shirts and packing lists), I would suggest digital products in one shop and physical in another.
Thanks for this video! Can you give my more details on the digital notebook paper? I would love to give this a try but I don’t quite understand what it is or how to even make it.
It makes sense to me to take existing designs and use them in other ways. Do you have separate stores for them? Ie a tshirt store and another one for swag (cups, stickers etc)?
Hope this isn’t a crazy question but can you put multiple digital products on one store or should each product has its own store??which brings me to my next question can you have multiple Etsy/Amazon store fronts ??
I have a question and I hope it's okay to ask here, does Etsy collect and remit sales taxes for all digital downloads or are there some places where you have to do it yourself? Thanks so much for any help you can give!
@@hannahebeling Oh thank you so much part of what really drove me to want to start my business on Etsy is becuase collecting and remitting sales tax seemed way too overwhelming for me, thank you so so much
Hi Hannah! I would love to learn more about the journals. I tried two times to get an Amazon Merch on demand account and was denied both times. Do you still recommend selling journals on Etsy? Or is there another platform worth looking into for low content books other than Amazon? I will try again to get an account! 🤞🏼
I only have ever sold my books through KDP (Kindle direct publishing). This is through Amazon, but unlike merch you don’t have to apply. So it’s a great option for those who can’t get accounts on Merch at the moment.
This is definitely a topic I would love to (and I’m planning to) dive into more. There is some amazing potential with AI art and written content, but I think it can also get into some gray area too.
Great question! I, like a lot of POD sellers, choose not to share links to my exact products or storefronts. Even though there are people that are just genuinely curious, there’s an equal amount who would just copy all of the designs and niches I’ve worked hard to research and create.
I just wanna make an extra 1k per month, is this attainable considering the competition with some of the digital products? I know how to use Affinity Designer and Affinity Publisher. I have colouring books on Amazon but the market is so flooded with KDP it's not worth my time anymore.
Absolutely! It all depends on how much you are willing to work on it. Some people just upload a few products a day so it takes them a long time to build up to that kind of profit, but you are only limited by the time you want to put in.
East or West Hannah is best ❤️
Haha! Thanks for the support!!

You would have to create a new product/listing on Etsy. You wouldn’t be able to link to kindle.
