First person I've seen use a light set up in one of these! I had exactly the same idea for the lights myself! Do you have any tips for how to wire them up? I'm not particularly clued up with LEDs or electronics so any help would be amazing!

Hi, sorry for the delay replying, the lights used are prewired SMD - purchased red, green, red flashing and white all with wires attached. It took some careful planning to identify the route for the wires which currently come out the bottom. I saw a great video from someone who added motors to a 1:48 hasewaga Royal Navy SAR and lights which inspired me - that will really give you some ideas! all the positive and negative wires were joined and added to a 3v battery pack. I did solder them in the end and tidied them all up but was using a small battery pack which holds 2x AAA batteries and has crocodile clips to test the lights. Also used a green SMD behind the cockpit panel where I drilled holes to allow light through and a thin clear sheet with the decal over. I didn't use resistors as all the SMD's were for 3v which is why I chose that specific battery pack - This was my first proper attempt at lighting a scale model - literally learning as I go so my best advice is go for it and have fun! :)
