Exactly, I can excuse 30- A width and depth cup in XS H&M dress but custom designer dress that has cups half the width of client's bust is cringe, and so are tiny cups on above 0 sizes in clothes made and marketed towards more mature women. I personally don't know any woman who has breasts this narrow. These cups look more like...nipple hats?

Imagine being pulled in all day by a steel and whale bone corset, with no circulation and forced to sit completely upright all day while being buttoned up to your neck. There was no "chillin out" in your sweats, kicked back with your feet on the furniture. I'm a guy, but I admit women go through PAIN to be beautiful. Then and now and I certainly do appreciate it.

What you are describing is called tight lacing but that wasn’t the norm either (they played with shoulder & skirt volume to make their waists look smaller and still stay comfortable). The whale boning was specifically used bc it was flexible. 12:15 not sure if anyone else is seeing that strange creature face in the pattern on the upper bodice. At first glance the surrounding fabric worked like visual distraction for me but then I noticed that face pattern. It looks like some sort of mythological beast suddenly emerging out of fog. I think this dress plays around with attention of the onlooker quite nicely.
Doja’s hat reminds me of the bucket type hats women wore in the 1930s. Very similar shape to many of those and a bit of a fusion with the modern baseball cap.
I always felt like new haute couture has been missing something 1. Camera grain 2. Accessories unique accessories 3. Not letting the clothes wear you But I do love Kylie’s and Avril (though I don’t understand the sheet over the face on Kylie’s look).
I just could never get into Thom Brown because his proportions are so, so, so unflattering for women so often. Unless you have a perfect shape, he just makes you look so boxy and large
I mean the grey is more accurate to Amelia Earheart if that’s what they were going for so I don’t hate the brown/grey combo. I liked Cate’s look as well and I didnt hate JLo’s look. I think they were trying to add visual interest to an otherwise boring look. And Thom Browne is PERFECT for Chanel. I honestly think his aesthetic is the perfect POV for Chanel to take for the future. There is a lot of symbiosis between Chanel and Brown house codes.
The belt for Jisoo's Dior dress is a definite nod to a midevil sword belt or a kilt belt. The tip off is the knot the belt is tied in at the side of the waist. Very appropriate for a "chain mail" dress.
I do not care for many of the designer creations. I do not want my clothes to be see thru or look like they are falling off or look uncomfortably restrictive. I want beautiful clothes with beading, sequins, elaborate embroidery, colorful, great fabrics, well made. Where are those clothes? Why don't I see more of those clothes?
I agree; a lot of these outfits are only meant to be worn on the runway. I guess pert-a-porte would have more Beautiful clothes that actually enhance a woman's figure.

If I want a Chanel or Versace piece I save for it don't care if it was last years. To many so called celebrities are actually doing the more harm to the brand.

Last year people noticed how different she looks in real life compared to how she looks in her usual heavily filtered pictures. Looks like they added a real life filter to this look. Not everyone has the same ideas about fashion and haute couture. But Viktor and Rolf might also be something for people who value extravagance. For some people, the craftsmanship and the further development of fashion, the correspondence with people's current lives, are not that important. Then you find this fashion boring. I find the collections mentioned excellent, innovative and of course anything but boring.
