      Russian Russian differs from Korean and Chinese in this way, they type a lot of words for even a large number of different hieroglyphs that are unchanged, and Russian due to the transformation of parts of the word. In this regard, it is not realistic to count the number of words of the Russian language, since they can be composed almost infinitely from syllables and other words.

    The Hungarian alphabet is omitted. it basically consists of 40 letters, its extended version has 44. The number of words is 110-120,000, but the entire vocabulary reaches 800,000 - 1,065,000. I just looked it up, it's hard to estimate. The history here was diverse, so we also adopted words from other nations.

    Несправедливо сравнивать по количеству слов к примеру флексивные и аглютативные языки. Для одного и того же требуется разное количество слов.

    • @Kitulous
      @Kitulous Год назад +1

      может синтетические и аналитические? потому что флексивные и агглютинативные языки отличаются тем, что в них одна морфема может иметь либо одну роль (агглютинативные языки), либо несколько (флективные языки).
      а вот аналитические языки как раз-таки требуют большего количества слов, да и то из-за изолирования кол-во слов явно не растет пропорционально. нужно немного больше слов для выражения того, что в синтетических языках делают аффиксы.

    People really do communicate differently. Some languages are more straightforward and direct than others. When you direct translate to English it comes off as rude. German is one of those languages. Hope that explains it mi amore. Some cultures don’t even do small talk at all. Was it Dutch? Can’t remember I forget

  • @MrMirville

    Classical Arabic has a frightening number of words (millions), but it is true that MSA has been scaled down to those words that correspond to a straightforward translation in most Western languages. French has less words than all neighbouring languages and was designed as such not to be too demanding as in international language for diplomacy. English has the maximum number among European languages (together with Swedish, for the same reason : it combines relatively few homegrown words with many latin or german borrowings) but too many have the same meanings and fewer than elsewhere are actually used.

    Это же не правда. Даже гугление за 10 секунд показывает на неточности! Как колличество слов у малых народов, может быть меньше чем у титульных? Как у империй, которые впитывали слова из разных культур, может быть меньше слов, чем у колоний?

      Малый народ- это не значит, что его культура тоже малая. Типичный стереотип в том, что колонии должны иметь меньше слов чем империи. Потому что наоборот, количество слов совместно увеличивается с обеих сторон, пока оба других народа смешиваются. Тем более, кол-во слов еще зависит от того, что возможно ли выражать человеческий моральный мир на том языке более конкретно, А это определяется эффективностью письменной системы того языка. В этом плане, наш русский язык правда, слабее чем другие азиатские языки.

    Não entendi o fato de o português ter 4 vezes mais palavras que o espanhol, dado que ambos são idiomas bem parecidos. O italiano também supera em muito o francês

    • @maopreta
      @maopreta Год назад +3

      No português existem mais palavras por causa das variações linguísticas, o que pode levar aos chamados "falsos amigos".
      Em espanhol, "despido" não significa "sem roupa", significa "demissão".
      "Oso" não é osso, é urso.
      "embarazo" não é embaraço/vergonha, é gravidez.
      "molestia" não é doença, é inconveniência ou incômodo.
      "oficina" é escritório, não o lugar onde os mecânicos consertam carros.
      Além disso, o português (especialmente o português brasileiro) também pegou muitas palavras emprestadas das línguas que vieram dos imigrantes, das línguas africanas (MOLEQUE, MUVUCA, CACHIMBO são derivadas de línguas africanas) e das línguas indígenas (melhor exemplo: TAPIOCA, vem do tupi-guarani).
      E uma palavra pode significar uma coisa em um lugar e outra em outro lugar.
      Em Portugal, "rapariga" significa moça, jovem do sexo feminino. Mas no Nordeste do Brasil, "rapariga" pode significar amante ou prostituta.
      No Brasil, "paneleiro" signfica apenas o armário ou a estante onde se guardam as panelas. Já em Portugal, "paneleiro" é ofensa dirigida a quem se suspeita que é homossexual passivo.

      @@maopreta discordo de sua explicação pelo seguinte: mais de 90%dos vocábulos dos dois idiomas tem escrita igual, mesma origem latina e apenas diferem em pronúncia. Mesmo que os outros 10% seja das influências africanas, indígenas ou mesmo de outras línguas, não é o suficiente para impor ao português tamanha superioridade em palavras. O Espanhol teve formação mais antiga e compartilha do mesmo léxico fundamental latino que o português.. Tudo que vc relatou são falsos cognatos ou diferentes palavras para denominar algo , de acordo com a região. Isso o espanhol tbm possui em toda sua variedade na América Latina, Ásia ou mesmo Espanha. Não sei a base que se fundamenta este "estudo" , mas basta analisar toda a história, cultura e influência da língua espanhola para discordar disso.....
