From pure graphical fidelity, obviously Squad is better. Newer, faster storage on consoles mean it can push out more at a quicker pace. But Arkham Knight shows how far great art direction goes. It also helps that even for its gen, was on the high end of the spectrum. But you can obviously now notice that yeah textures are slightly lower res. Models in some things may be noticeable etc. but man, you either don’t notice or don’t care. I don’t think Squad looks and by any means and I definitely don’t think it’s a last gen game (graphically wise with the fps), but it’s just lacks the interesting and strong art direction that the Arkham universe is loved for.

Played through suicide squad twice now. Just downloaded Arkham Knights on my PC (used to play it a ton on ps4). I can confirm that Arkham Knights graphics are better on high settings. Besides facial animations. And that’s not even talking about how much better the entire game is. - I also played through gotham knights like 4 times. At this rate I’m so tired that DC title games are being ruined by WB live service trash
I hear some arguments saying that the game doesn’t have to be dark and moody like Knight was. That is true but doesn’t excuse the fact the graphic downgrade from 2015 is clear and the night levels in SSKTJL look absolutely trash. I’m convinced that the devs for those levels either never took 5 seconds out of their life to look up at the night sky or just forgot to add anything to it. And most importantly if this game wasn’t meant to be dark and moody then why is it in a game series that is COMPLETELY CENTERED AROUND DARK ATMOSPHERES.
Just wanted to say that movement cant be compared since the pacing is entirely different. So is the combat. Youre supposed to chain attacks and keep moving.
Suicide squad doesn't really look bad. It could use a touch up or 2. But I think the issue us fans have with it is the direction they went with the story and the subpar combat.
Dont know how much of this is true , but i read that the rocksteady who made the amazing Arkham series pitched the idea of a superman game to WB ( if anyone could have pulled off a good Superman game it would have been them imo). Once again, to be fair with the movement. They made 4 different character movements and had to make sure one character isn’t faster than the others. Played through suicide squad twice now. Just downloaded Arkham Knights on my PC (used to play it a ton on ps4). I can confirm that Arkham Knights graphics are better on high settings. Besides facial animations. And that’s not even talking about how much better the entire game is. - I also played through gotham knights like 4 times. At this rate I’m so tired that DC title games are being ruined by WB live service trash

I hear some arguments saying that the game doesn’t have to be dark and moody like Knight was. That is true but doesn’t excuse the fact the graphic downgrade from 2015 is clear and the night levels in SSKTJL look absolutely trash. I’m convinced that the devs for those levels either never took 5 seconds out of their life to look up at the night sky or just forgot to add anything to it. And most importantly if this game wasn’t meant to be dark and moody then why is it in a game series that is COMPLETELY CENTERED AROUND DARK ATMOSPHERES.
The UI in Arkham games are just cleaner and not intrusive....

Just wanted to say that movement cant be compared since the pacing is entirely different. So is the combat. Youre supposed to chain attacks and keep moving.
Suicide squad doesn't really look bad. It could use a touch up or 2. But I think the issue us fans have with it is the direction they went with the story and the subpar combat.

Dont know how much of this is true , but i read that the rocksteady who made the amazing Arkham series pitched the idea of a superman game to WB ( if anyone could have pulled off a good Superman game it would have been them imo).
WB said no and wanted a game that's live so they could make more money , most of the people who worked on the Arkham series then left not happy with WB decisions, i can believe it to be true as WB kept interfering with the DCEU too changing what Zack Snyder had in is plan's and completely messed it all up.

Once again, to be fair with the movement. They made 4 different character movements and had to make sure one character isn’t faster than the others. They made movement for only one character in Arkham knight. Gliding, grappling, and Batmobile. That’s three different movement abilities vs four in suicide squad.
Say what you want about Avengers but at least that game had unique movement and combat for each character that made sense unlike Suicide Squad

Dead characters without ragdoll physics is just so wrong:/ I have to admit it is one of the reasons im not buying this game, ragdoll physics on dead characters is just a nice touch to all of the game physics and without it, it just feels strange and wrong:D
