For vertical velocity they cant dispatch the train until the launch mechanism cools down. I think the cool down is like 1.45 minutes. So that is why the wait takes as long as it does.

If it’s the same as the v2 at Discovery Kingdom (now the Flash) I wouldn’t be surprised. The horrible screeching sound that one made definitely makes me think it must be hot
@@CoasterStudios if you listen to the operator right before they say all clear they will say 145 which means the cooldown time has been reached

Id be curious to see more dispatches on Raging Bull, when I was there they were keeping to that 30 second promise
Believe me not always as someone who has this park as their home park I know raging bull has its good and bad moments
Airtime Thrills I timed Raging Bull more than once and it never hit 30 seconds. The dispatch I included in this video was their fastest one.
Coaster Studios it depends on the day. Some days it’s consistently getting about 45 seconds, some days it’s about the time in the video
@@CoasterStudios mustve been a slower crew. Their ops from Oct 2017 were Disney level fast and it makes sense, with just the lapbar to check and no seatbelt
At the end of the night the ops will sometimes have fun and you'll see 30 second dispatches, but generally it's closer to 60 seconds on average. Which honestly is solid with the 4 wide B&M trains. Raging Bull's line usually moves pretty fast.
The background music has crossed over into nostalgia and I'm not sure how or why..

SFGam Ride op about to go into my 3rd season here. I'm really happy you got this video done on a good day when we were on point with our dispatches. Batman is my favorite coaster to work at and a minuet dispatch makes me so happy. However, V2 has a kinda long dispatch interval and we have to wait a certain amount of time before the ride itself will even let us send another cycle. I've been told Goliath is difficult because guest pull down the restraints and the workers have to pull them up, same with other RMCs. I love my park and my co-workers and management. Seems like we do better than a lot of other parks.
It's always great to see motivated ride ops giving their best! If the ride hits capacity, it's definitely not your fault. Thanks for minimizing waiting times, that's what makes people happy😉👍

As a worker at this park I know all the dispatch intervals:
Maxx- has to stack due to ride length
Whizzer- with 2 trains it is the final brake run, 3 trains is the mid course break run (fun fact when it first opened in 1976 whizzer ran 5 trains)
Raging bull and demon- 2 trains is the midcourse, 3 trains is the lift
Viper, X flight,American eagle, batman, superman,goliath - final brake run
Flash/V2- has only one train and has to wait after 115 seconds(1 minute 55 seconds) for the launch system to cooldown
Joker- loads and dispatches 2 cars at once and have to send it after both cars reach the final brakes
Dark knight- has 8 trains and can send another once the train before it has finished the lift hill

I live 15 mins away and I couldn’t agree more with the verdicts. Sometimes the slower dispatches like Superman are pretty decent depending on the day. It’s also pretty common for short breakdowns and getting stuck in the brake run. Great video though!

It’s those RMC rechecks that slow the line...they had to visit that one girls row 3 times.
One thing about V2 is that there is a 115 sec cool down between cycles and you cant send the train before that. So that time mention in the video is a really good time.
I agree with you. The operations are the best of any Six Flags Park I have visited.

burningphoenix36 never happened! I have however had incidents happen that cause for the dispatch to be really long, such as a guest not being able to fit or too scared to ride and needs to get out.
@@CoasterStudios yeah I saw that happened on the cedar point operations video, someone got off. I assume you left that in because you didn't notice it or something like that.
Viper is an underrated coaster

TigerRocks503 Aka: Chase The layout is a copy of the Coney Island Cyclone. Theme Park Crazy often says that “you can never go wrong with a B&M hyper”. I know that some Magic Mountain fans will probably disagree with me, but you generally can’t go wrong with a Cyclone copy.
When I rode it, I was really disappointed because of all the hype people gave it, but... It was just pointless, boring, and had zero airtime.
Man you never lied, that’s my favorite wooden coaster there.

In all seriousness, this doesn’t seem too bad. I’d say the crews deserve their props, despite some of the slower times. The time and day you go is a big factor on that.
Now if only a certain park could strive a little more for this kind of effort.

Edit: Yeah, I don't know why B&M Flyers take that long. But I will say .... a minute flat for a B&M Invert is what all ride dispatches should aspire to!

As a former ride op and frequent guest Xflight, Superman, eagle, whizzer and goliath all are the slowest operations.
I think it really depends on the people getting on the train. Especially for most of the rides with seatbelts and lap bars involved, it takes a little longer. Also people putting bags in the cubbies, people having difficulty getting the restraint down etc. Most of the time it really isn't the operators' fault for how fast the dispatch is.
Side note: Superman is just always slow for some reason and idk why

B&M Flyers seem to take a long time. I was surprised Superman was under 2 minutes. At Over Georgia you could have used a hour's glass to time them.
I was surprised to see Raging Bull be that long. That one is generally real quick.
On a side note: Its like I've watched you and your channel blossom! Hope you enjoyed the holidays. I guess when you dont live in Florida, amusement parks actually close for the season! See you at the Iron Gwazi opening, or maybe whatever Kings Island (hometown) comes out with next...

SFGAm's operations were definitely much improved on my visit last summer versus my prior trip in 2014. While they're not the best in the Six Flags chain, I'd say they're in the upper third to quarter of the parks.
I love the idea for these videos! An awesome, easy detail you could add to make the video even better would take the number of seats on the train and divide the time from the video by an hour for a TRUE riders per hour number, stamped and approved by coaster studious haha!!! Keep up the great work.
I stopped watching your videos for like 3 months because I watched other things. Then i watched this and that music was nostalgic for some reason
i remember when me and a group of friends went on opening day and we went on superman. took 2 1/2 hours to get on because they were only running 1 train (yes, on opening weekend) and dispatch times were insanely slow.

My home park is Great America and I am going to Cedar Point this summer, how do the operations compare, and can I do every coaster at Cedar Fair at least once in two days?
For those curious: American Eagle sadly is not allowed to race anymore due to the age of the structure...it can still physically race...it’s just the park is trying to keep it operating for as long as it can as racing wears the track much quicker.
It still does run both sides but one side is dispatched while the other comes back in and when the other side is dispatched the previous side returns.
I’m wondering if there can be any way to make the coaster race again without an RMC redo. Thoughts?
Blue side was probably not open in this video due to low staff.
From my experience at American Eagle the best dispatch is a minute 25 seconds from the first buzz to brake 6 the dispatch tone plays as the previous train passes through brake 6
Honestly these are pretty accurate. Goliath usually takes less but has it's bad days. Also Superman and V2 always take the longest in my opinion

YES. me and a friend went on a pretty empty day (thunderstorms in the forecast, never happened) and even though we were some of the only people on the ride it took like 2 minutes for them to dispatch. it's insane.

Always interesting to see how other parks are doing, its a shame i didn't work at Walibi Holland in 2018 when you visited. You would have loved last years operations at Condor (Vekoma SLC) we had 15 second dispatch times. lol

This is pretty accurate to what I see most of the times I'm there. The operations on the B&Ms is disappointing compared to some of the cedar fair parks I've been to this year. I have been blown away by batman sometimes though, they really have it flying sometimes. I will agree though that compared to most six flags I've been to.
When was the last time you went to Knoebels? Their ops are awesome!

1 Minute 15 seconds is okay for a 4 people per train Schwarzkopf jetstar, but 1 Minute 14 seconds '' could use improvement '' on a 36 seat per train B&M Hyper?

Whizzer holds up to 24 people per train.
oh yeah its actually quiet a bit more. I am Sure it maxes out at 16 tho. its still dumb lmao
When Whizzer opened in 1976 it actually had five trains...but due to safety issues it was reduced to three. It usually runs two trains as the third is cycled with one of the other two. The fourth and fifth trains have since became part donors.
Maybe it's because b&m hypers and their restraints are especially constructed for quick 30-second-dispatches but the jetstars just need more time because they are constructed less staff-friendly. That way, the staff at the jetstar would be doing a better job than the ones working at Raging Bull although they're putting through less people per hour.
So those dispatches are okay because they pretty much reach the ride's maximum theoretical capacity while the RB team doesn't reach full capacity on their ride.

This park is amazing! Super underrated!
as a long time visitor of this park, and as someone who has this as their home park, i can confirm that i’ve seen raging bull’s dispatches be 25 seconds! but i’d say the average is around 40 seconds. guess you just caught it on a bad day. i also see x flight be more than two minutes FREQUENTLY. guess you caught x flight on a good day. and american eagle is usually at least three minutes so you caught that on a good day too.
I recently went to Raging Bull and it took a while for it to dispatch. I was shivering in my boots so it did not help. Still a great ride!
Havent been here in years! I always want to go but yeah. It's so close to chicago so it's pretty busy all the time.
Just as close to Milwaukee, so it's a double whammy.
Some of these are very much on the passenger. Especially seen in the third ride. I think they did pretty good.

I have to tell you something crazy that happened to me today. So I was talking to my teacher about her favorite rollercoaster and guess what she said, she said that her favorite coaster was the now defunct SHOCK WAVE at kings dominion and her second favorite was ANACONDA at Kong’s dominion!

You probably timed this multiple times but if there's a bigger person on the train and the operating staff has difficulties closing the restraint I feel like they can't really do much to improve dispatch times. (Noticed it on Goliath)
Maybe I was there on a bad day, but Superman was consistently 4 minutes or so, one as high as 6 minutes (and yes, I timed a number of dispatches)

this is my home park and yeah I will say, superman, raging bull, goliath, V2, and American eagle are the slowest one sometimes it's the slow day or sometimes it's an off day but all in all I will say they do try their best to make sure everyone is safe and secure at all time and hype us up which is great so kudos to them hope this year will be better for them will see.
