A few years ago i broke up with someone i loved very dearly, this song reminded me of her for a while and was unbelievably painful. Being a musician i adapted it, played it on my ancient acoustic and went on a week long feels trip over this song. Following that i found that the pain of losing her lasted for about as long as we were together (almost 2 years). Funny enough, this song showed up on my suggestions today (3 years after breaking up) and i feel okay, i mean, i think about her and i remember the good times, i remember why we broke up and how there was NO WAY we would've been good for each other in the long run, LOL. :-). What's even more funny is that i recently broke up with someone else and i feel as if this song was a reminder to me that no matter what happens, no matter how much sadness and pain, and darkness and overwhelming shit we experience in any form, so long as we stay alive, we can prevail. A few years ago i broke up with someone i loved very dearly, this song reminded me of her for a while and was unbelievably painful. Being a musician i adapted it, played it on my ancient acoustic and went on a week long feels trip over this song. Following that i found that the pain of losing her lasted for about as long as we were together (almost 2 years). Funny enough, this song showed up on my suggestions today (3 years after breaking up) and i feel okay, i mean, i think about her and i remember the good times, i remember why we broke up and how there was NO WAY we would've been good for each other in the long run, LOL. :-). What's even more funny is that i recently broke up with someone else and i feel as if this song was a reminder to me that no matter what happens, no matter how much sadness and pain, and darkness and overwhelming shit we experience in any form, so long as we stay alive, we can prevail. Life. I won't lie i'm getting tired of the cycle and i hope i meet the proverbial 'One' soon.
I'm probably oversharing what this song means to me. On the upside At least now i can sing it without getting all sad. It's a beautiful song by Missio. I wonder what HE was going through when he wrote it.
