Just 24 hours ago, I had never even heard Odesza, let alone this album. What an innocent and fortunate recommendation. When this tune started, it was as if time stood still, and all I could do was close my eyes and surrender to the experience. I haven't been moved to tears in ages, yet this song opened a door to a deeper inner knowing I forgot was there. It reminds me of a quote from Joseph Campbell, "I don't believe people are looking for the meaning of life as much as they are looking for the experience of being alive." Thus far, this album is providing that experience.

2018, December 25th, Christmas day. I opened one of my presents. It was forza horizon 4. I was so excited to play. It was for my sister's xbox but she didnt mind. I played for hours. I had such a blast that Christmas. *If only I could relive it again.*

I had never heard it before and the sound immediately resonated with me. I then looked at the song title and it broke me. In December, 2022, my two cousins and I went on a trip up the mountains with some shrooms... we havent seen each other or had a good relationship due to family drama for well over 5 years. The intent was to wash away the past several years and restart.

Recently bought FH4. When I loaded the game for the first time and heard this song I was in awe. I just sat there taking in the beauty of the vehicle driving on the road, the world around the car and the incredible song. Really set the tone for the game. Quite amazing.

I remember when I first got my Xbox one it was my little sister’s 1st birthday and my cousin who gave it to me had the demo installed on it when he gave it to me and because I was 7 I think, I never got the real game, it was in 2019. I remember that was the only game I’d play my first month of having it because 7 year old me loved cars. I still do but not nearly as much as little me. Countless hours on the demo version which I somehow didn’t realize was a demo until I turned 11. Countless hours listening to this song, not even pressing the a button to start. Then fast forward to now, I’m turning 13 this year and it’s being delisted. I never bought the full game digitally but it cut off demo access so I can’t play that anymore. I’m not saying I’ll never get it though, because physical copies and stuff but damn. It was the sentimental attachment to the demo specifically that saddened me. But all this to say, I guess my point is; damn, what a game man. What a fucking game.

Forza Horizons 4’s demo had me shook. I forgot how much fun these games where. Absolutely stunning job on the into race thought the seasons. Can’t wait for the full game. And to top it all off, some incredible music from one of my favorites.
I opened the Forza Horzion 4 demo to find this track playing as the game's theme song. I have no words but tears running through my eyes after seeing how the game illustrated U.K' beauty with that McLaren and this song running in the background. Truly breathtaking experience. Odesza is life!

It's hard and bittersweet for me to go back and play this game and listen to this music now. When FH4 came out I had just bought an MX-5, gotten a raise at my job and was playing Horizon 4 as it had just come out obviously. I had racked up hundreds of hours, gotten hundreds of cars and gotten really good throughout my entire early FH4 experience. Right after COVID hit and we went into lockdown in that time period I got laid off from my job and my life ever since has gotten continuously worse and worse until where I am now.
Living in a tiny motel room with barely anything to my name, biking miles back and forth to a crappy dead end job everyday because the transmission in my MX-5 grenaded itself at 95K miles and I do this just so I can barely afford to eat cheap, unhealthy slop to keep myself alive.
Today I had some rare free time away from work and decided to reinstall FH4, big mistake. This song came on the radio when driving around, I started to just silently welt streams down my cheeks so I had to close the game and take awhile to reflect on why. I came to the realization the game is indeed an emotional experience, but that's not what made me cry. It was simply the game, ambiance and music in the game that brought back those good memories and it was too much to handle 😥

At first I thought I did something to break it or didn't know how to drive manual. When i found out people had the same car with the same transmission blow up at 40K miles or earlier i felt better about myself at least. Known materials defect, 3 different transmission revisions so far, mine is the first revision 🤣

I blasted this in my civic type r 2018 and a Hyundai Veloster 2019 was right next to me and started to rev and it was on. We both took off on the traffic light and went to a gas station, he followed he got out and congratulated me for winning and started talking about our cars telling each other about he HP, etc. Me and him are friends now and We go on long ass drives now and it’s so much fun, we both blast this in our cars.

This song was in our farewell video of Intermediate English Society (As most of us were passing out that year and graduating) and it was super emotional watching it with this music-oh the wave of emotions it brought and the high hope note it ends with, as if the song is saying that everything is going to be alright. Second time I heard this was when I played FH4 on my friend's Xbox One X and I loved the track and then the game so much that I dished out all my spendings to buy an Xbox One S and just to play this game. Never once did that game disappoint me. I know it has its flaws but oh what a game it was! 2020 Lockdown was a bit bearable just because of FH4.
Now, listening to it in 2025 gives me a whole different set of vibes and takes me back to all the aforementioned days, and much like the high note the song ends on, life has been on a high note. THANK GOD.

Me and my older brother used to love forza horizon 4, so we played it alot, one time it was late at night and we decided to go to the living room, turned on the lights there turned on the Xbox 1 that still worked at the time, and put in the Forza 4 disk. And then the Title screen was on. Heard this exact song and remembered that night ever since, now with the Series S I play Forza 4 on my own in my room and continue to remember that night, shedding a tear. So many memories.
