Jaymes Young has a very unique sense of music. He blends lyrics and music in such a way that it is bound to hit you. His music makes you feel light, and then again heavy...truly, amazing
So I've been on a Jaymes Young binge now for a few days and I am amazed how this guy is not main stream or more popular. His vocals and style is amazing.
I even showed his songs to a couple of people I know and they were blown away how amazing his songs are.
I'm a big fan of him, his songs like moondust, dark star are so different and I love his voice. Even Parachute by him has amazing vocals but sadly he is under rated
when i first heard this song i was going through some hard times in my life and now coming back to this song i can say that i am in a much better state.

It's because (just a stipulation) the government want society to be dumber than they already are, it's a proven fact music has an affect on you and for some people that affect is quite significant. This is not proven but i do know for a fact my sociology teacher when i was a junior in high school said she had a friend in college that went to the governmental branch, and that they purposely dumb down education. you should of seen the look on my classmates faces when they heard that come from a teacher that had won multiple awards in her lifetime for education.

I recently got out of a toxic, abusive relationship... even after the relationship ended, he still kept coming back (always found a way) to fuck me up, make me feel like shit. I couldn't bare it anymore, all the shaking, crying, fear. This song really speaks to me because of that and even though I know it for over 3 years, I still, ironically, come back to this song to remind myself how much I don't wish for him to ever return again.

This is weird, so I'm writing a book and use song edits for inspiration and this was one of the few that stuck out and really got me in the mood
0:36 really fits with one of my plotlines
I feel like this song perfectly describes how you feel when your out of sync with someone. Although you don't want them to come back, the bigger picture (the title of the song) shows how you wish for them to just come back in sync. You might see them, talk to them, but it's not the same and what you had feels unfinished, almost as if although it faded long ago it stills feels just the same. I heard it being described as "like an abandoned campsite whose smoldering embers still have the power to start a forest fire." Which I would agree with completely. I know this probably isn't what Jaymes Young had in mind, but it's my interpretation.
