I love this, I wish you would do these banjo player breakdowns and assess other guys styles or lick choices that make their style those would be cool videos based on particular players. The algorithm may like it too as people look banjo playing of particular artist up. That dude in this has alot of attack in his playing he's strong
@@RickyMier for sure I really like Caleb dostals version of st Anne's reel, I enjoy that track Matt menefee does on "insomniac blues for Matthew" I really enjoy his playing his tone is weird but on that track it's more traditional has a lot of drive maybe that's why I like that one of his so much. Would love a Allison brown "shoot the dog" thing that's so like traditional Scruggs in the best way possible. And yeah Ron bloc? Dude I need to learn his stuff it works so well in a vocal more modern setting and it's so solid such great backing. And I really don't know anything of his would love a Ron bloc breakdown of his if you already been working on him
@@RickyMier thanks man, also this is sort of rediculous but.....have you ever heard/seen the king of the hill episode where they made a bluegrass band and do blue moon of Kentucky? It's actually my favorite version of that song rip bill Monroe. It's here on RUclips if you look it up. Boomhauer does a fine job with it Idk how many views it has maybe worth an analysis for the meme if nothing else
If I’m not mistaken he took some lessons from Brandon Green and if you know of Brandon, you wouldn’t be surprised that his students are turning out like this. Of course the Notes have to come outta Clays hands so he’s definitely a hammer.
Lovely transcription / lesson. Thank you!
My pleasure Dan, thanks for watching
Excellent analysis.
Thanks for watching John
Great Stuff! Your’e the original prodigy by the way. Thanks for sharing Ricky.
MERCY Thanks Michael

Clay's 21 or 22. He's well known in the Northwest NC and Southwest VA bluegrass scene. I'm happy to see him getting attention from you. Great work!
He is a hoss. Thanks for the info!
Killer stuff, appreciate the video
My pleasure, thanks for watching
Love everything you do Ricky! If you ever visit Sweden and need a pickin buddy🪕😁
