it’s my favorite GT car ever, and luckily I own one, I absolutely love it. 911 is also on my top list as sports car. I think both of them do the best in their own category
I would totally get this. A 911 seems great to me but I never find them special. I see them everyday, usually several. Spotting an LC 500 however is a rare occasion. I see Ferrari's more often.

Owner here. Yep, totally agree with everything you said. There are many cars you can buy for around the same price or a little less, which arguably are better (AMG GT, C8 'vette, Porsche 718, and in Europe some others), but by all means go ahead, have a few years ownership experience with those, then try the LC500. The Lexus will start every time. You can leave the LC parked for a while, when you come back it will start up. The only time I've seen the dealer with my LC was for servicing. It's also true you get lots of other tech with the other cars that you don't get with the Lexus, but I've had my share of issues with infotainment systems in other cars to the point I don't even use them anymore! I still use Waze on my phone in most of my cars. So guess what, I don't use the infotainment system in my LC, which is also crap. No biggie... The V8 is to die for and that's all that matters to me. Thanks for the nice review, sub'd.

I love the look of this car, and I love the interior even more. I even liked it before it had CarPlay, which felt like going out on a limb given how much I hated that Toyota took 3-4 years after Chevy to put it in their cars. I’d even consider the hybrid, I like the sound of that V8 a lot but I don’t even care about the speed. I just want this piece of rolling art in my driveway. Lexus was one of the few luxury brands that opened the doors on their flagships at NAIAS back in 2019, and I got to sit in one of these and the moment I closed the door I was sold. The LC 500 is undeniably one of the most beautiful cars I’ve ever seen. I own a 2021 LC500 red convertible, and even when I’m not driving it, I find joy in just admiring it parked in the garage. It is a shame that the LC500 always get ignored because of Lexus stigma the media puts out. The MB SL has been a lame duck for generations but the media can’t help but fall over themselves to write a positive review that hasn’t applied in years.
I haven’t driven an SL in a very long time and would like to try the new one. However the LC is probably my favorite car I’ve driven since starting the channel 4 years ago
It is the best car in the world. It also has something called voice command, which means you almost never have to use the trackpad. You do have to read the owners manual and learn about 20 commands and the trackpad will be history. As for the center console, I’m not sure if I misunderstood you, but that great big top door flips up and reveals quite a large storage area. You only slid the top back about 4 inches. There’s a little handle underneath the front of the top and you just squeeze it and the door flips up and away from you. It is big enough.
I’ve been in love with the LC for a few years but was sadly disappointed when I drove one. It was slow, the gear shifts were laggy, and the back slid out way too easily. It was raining when I drove it but my rwd stinger was planted the same day in the same conditions. Ended up getting a new 2024 m240i instead
100% agree and awesome to see you behind the wheel of my exact spec - which I find gets daily compliments. Parking lots are filled with white, black, silver and gray, so couldn’t do any of those; not gutsy enough to do the flare yellow, although it is stunning; Infrared is also gorgeous - like a 4500 pound flawless ruby but my trade in was candy apple red and wanted a change; so it came down to Cadmium Orange or Nori Green Pearl. And in 2022 most every manufacturer has come out with a shade of hot orange so that was a no-go. Love the Nori Green Pearl 💚. And thoroughly enjoying the many exquisite personalities of this gt car.
You're a lucky man. That is the exact spec I am aiming for in the next year or so when I plan to buy. What about the structural blue color. There's a really fascinating design process of that color. It's not really a paint, it's more or a pigment. Cool stuff
one of the MANY reasons i love this car is that weird back seat area: I rented a Jaguar F-type, convertible for a week. I'm test driving both for purchase. Beautiful car but I must say that Jaguar nailed it when they designed the F-Type. I bought mine and it is hands down the best looking/driving car I have ever owned. Plus the power plant in my F-Type R crushes the LC500 numbers…and the exhaust note is unbelievable, better than the LC500 and probably the best ever for the segment.
One of the few 'new' cars that I actually think looks freaking gorgeous. Any car these days, they try to make it look way too aggressive and sporty...but on this car, it just works
I love light coloured interiors (Lexus ivory in particular)... Is it too much to ask that I don't feel like I'm getting into a black hole when I get in the car?
I had an IS500 and I loved the car but it was subtle. It could be an IS300 to the untrained eye, whereas the LC500 doesn’t share it’s body with any other car in the Lexus lineup. It’s a special car that feels one off. Anyways I’ll be keeping my eye out for an LC500 in the coming months.
Ever since Lexus came out with that new grille all I see is a Predator roar. Lexus needs to come out with some Predator fang options for the top and bottom of the grill and some Predator Dreadlocks to clip onto the front sides to really complete the Predator look.
I think the historical Lexus demographic is primarily "old" or at least approaching or above the middle age line. In part, that's due to pricepoint with any luxury brand as far less people in their 20's are making good enough money to buy one (new or lightly used anyway). Another large factor is the technology aspect- Lexus has a functional but archaic infotainment system that they leave on cars for 5-10 years longer than they should. Only as of 2022/23 are they starting to roll out their new generation infotainment, which is decent but really only just catching up to where other manufacturers were 5-8 years ago... and if old habits continue, Lexus will probably stick with that for another 10-15 years. Reliability is the other point- the younger demographic as a whole has yet to go through a few cars (let alone luxury ones) and experience problems that would make them appreciate that peace of mind with a Lexus. Mind you, that may change with Lexus now modernizing their drivetrains, but we will see.
Wood, red leather, analog display, chrome, convertible hard top feminine curved body is why I love my SC430. Now as for the LC500, there is little you can do. This car interior with all the plastic will look dated over time. I think the SC430 looks like timeless classic handmade watch and the LC500 looks like digital watch.

That’s a pretty good noise!
This design hits such a good spot right in between classical and harsh looks
One of the few 'new' cars that I actually think looks freaking gorgeous. Any car these days, they try to make it look way too aggressive and sporty...but on this car, it just works
¿Which one is the best, convertible or coupe? I understand one of them have turning wheels in the back
I love light coloured interiors (Lexus ivory in particular)...
It's not a sport car it's a luxury sport car lexus is all about luxury first and foremost.
I drove it yesterday. It's a brilliant car. Thanks to super gt
Toyota always makes the best cars
Not to mention the extreme attention to details.... did you notice that every surface, even the lowest, are covered in leather?
Nothing is wrong with the LC it's perfect (except the infotainment)
Lexus lfa sounds even better. Maybe the best sounding car ever built
The centre armrest opens up from the driver side so you have more storage.
That's a cupholder in the center console, did he completely miss that the entire center opens up? It has lots of storage.
how do you only have 800 subs man
Lolololol 🫠
