So a reverse enchanter support? That would actually be really cool. Maybe give them a sort of reverse spell sheild you throw on an enemy that blocks the next friendly ability they would recieve like a heal, or zilean speed boost
@@Yarharsuperpirate Or as it's R a type curse that reverses every buff they would get. Speed boosts slow instead, Damage decreases, Heals (including Lifesteal) becomes tick damage over time, shealds deal that amount true damage, resurrectings always kill you short after. (Kinda op though)

The title sure fits Kled, the most Noxian champ of all Noxian champs. All land is his, he gets what he wants, and he's very aggressive when it comes to fighting. I'm so excited because of him lol
When you mentioned the three ruling parts of noxus, it made me remember that there are these cards in runeterra based on that; might, which has a statue of darius on it, vision, which has swain as the statue, and guile, which has leblanc representing it. Lor sometimes doesn't see eye to eye with lol lore sometimes, but it's clear she's involved somehow, she always is.
i mean, she does occasionaly send assasins after swain, but he just takes it as entertainment, thats why he leaves her be even though he knows everything
@@herbertn.oafallas3565 because they'll spend time on politic bs rather than facing the real problem and most of them sees Noxus bad dudes. Noxus has its flaws but compare to other countries Noxus is pretty efficient country when Swain took over.
A noxian enchanter would be really cool. Imagine something like a debuff where it does nothing when first applied, but requires you to deal a certain amount of damage in a time period or you get hit by a really bad damage debuff for an extended period of time or something. It fits the noxian “prove your worth” theme really well
One thing I thought of if we're designing a prove your worth themed enchanter is an enchanter that heals you for a flat amount then gives you grey health that scales based on how much damage you have dealt. If you don't deal any damage at all within the set time period, you dont get the bonus heal
I'm so glad we got a Noxus episode quickly. These guys are by far my favorite region. Fantastic video but I would have liked to see more discussion about half Noxian champions like Kayn, Xin Zhao, and Sett and how the Noxian themes are explored there.
As a proud Swain main I’m quite excited for this video. My favorite, very edgy but surprisingly complicated region is finally getting some love (And yup, I’m as excited for the Swain mini-rework as everyone else is)

tbh it looks like they are trying to move him to a more of a solo laner role with those buffs. now swain support doesnt really work if you cant hit your e and lets be realistic a swain support without his root is useless
I'll guess the Faceless is Marcus Du Couteau until proven otherwise Edit after seeing the video: That's why Noxus Champions are ny favorite. They all have this thematically acurate kit. Talon is described in lore as an assassin who ends his jobs on a quick stab, and also is said he never lets himself be seen, flees the scene right after the murder, and his victim doesn't even know he is there, so, how does that translates to his gameplay? Tons of single target damage, and he is pretty much dead if he blows his combo and his target survives or if he can't flee the scene. Katarina is known for being the same as Talon, but more flamboyant, and likes when her victims met her before she kills them, its translated to the gameplay by making her jump around with her daggers, and dealing damafe each time she jumps into a dagger, she even loojs like she's almost dancing with her Passive and Ult. LeBlanc, Darius, Swain, and so on and so forth, each of them are so accurate to their lore personas that if they were to create a series about Noxus, I wouldn't be surprised if all of them do things similar to what they do in game.
@@vladislavzara4206 From the newer champions... probably, (I'm sorry Vars, but you can't deny the truth), Yone is probably one of if not the most thematically acurate. All the things Yone can do in game are explained in lore, heck, he even uses his E in the 10 minutes cinematic
Just adding another example (cuz I like the idea) Swain in lore is obsessed in collecting information and using it instead of pure strength, which just makes him perfect for Raun (demon of secrets). This has a lot of references in game, not only the most obvios being his W which is quite the vision tool (and also funniest ability to use in his kit, quite unique for a non-ult have this range and just annoy people in other lanes and get assists by blocking escape routes in the jungle with 2 second slow) Anyways, besides that it is also tematic and fun to hear he saying the other champions secrets when landing W on them, like one of the most known to Jinx: - Faces... fading in the flames... It was all her fault Or my favorite, when Swain lands W on an enemy Swain: - I already know that. Even as Swain can be a support, or at least have certain support tools even in midlane, it is also tied to his lore, as he is literally called "the noxian grand general" which means he knows how to controll tropes, and is an expert in using his allies strength to the best (like waiting for an ally to CC in order do use W, or wait a team fight to use your ultimate (where is at it's best) or pull whit E on allied cc (he now can't do that, but still this is more of a balancing thing). Even when working on a team he makes sure to say what he thinks, having lines that really fit a general giving instructions, not working as equal. I wanted to write 20 voice lines here, bcuz they are great, but I will spare you of more reading and have just a few mocking lines, cuz they are great. - Mind is a weapon. And you are unarmed. - Fame has gone to your head, and found ample room withing. - They are five steps from realising: I am 10 steps ahead.
@@silas5086 Swain its my favorite champion on the region, I used to play him a lot back in S9 (I miss the ROA. I miss it a lot) and I actually didn't put him as an example becsuse my comlent was getting too big already, glad someone added him in the threat tho
I always like big ass empire with military focus, and emphasis on strength and power like Noxus. It feels poetic that something so seemingly flawed can stand for so long and be an ultimate threat, spoken in fear and respect.
You mentioned that Rell had the only team utility in Noxus, this is even more important as she is the rebellious teen of the reigon. She is almost Anti Noxus
I'm a bit excited for the take on SI champions. One common theme I've noticed from them is them simply not letting you escape them in some way, whether it be chasing you down (Kalista, Hecarim, Viego), Locking you down (Maokai, Thresh, Yorick), or outright killing you when you thought you escaped (Karthus)

Swain is my favorite Noxian by far, he rose through the ranks off his own merit and willpower, he became crippled, dominated a demon through his own willpower, rose up AGAIN and overthrew the leader.

I think this points out something interesting about rell. She rebelled so her kit counters many noxian Champs with decent mobility as a tank huge cc and peel tools but still maintains the aggressive playstyle
From what i remember the faceless is the rogues guild of noxus as a whole, theyre the faceless cuz everyone within the clan represents it - they have no one leader. I think at meetings they would send a different member every time, hence faceless, no one face can represent them (Also if their face got out their power would dwindle since you know, rogues)
Hadn't see any of the prior videos but I've played the game for a long time and just now am realizing just how much champions from a shared nation are similar not only to the region's core but also each other, in terms gameplay patterns and ideals. Actually pretty cool, especially looking at Riven who has the mobility and flow of an Ionian but the brute strength and oppression of a Noxian.

A fed Kled facetanked my Miss Fortune ultimate and lived. I have never seen anyone survive it. I was baffled. It took three of us to kill him. Also for someone as squishy as Katarina she feels like a raid boss to take down when played by a main.

Sion is my favorite tank to play for that specific reason. He doesn't feel forced into the same hole as every other tank. You need a full CC tank who can crush teamfights, you got it. But do you need a splipush champ who can take turrets. You got that too. You need more damage so he goes a juggernaut build and becomes terrifying to 1 vs 1. You got it. He can do alot where most full tanks can only do 1 thing.
Okay, since when was Mordekaiser and Elise classified as Noxus based champs? Last I recalled, they were Shadow Isles since Morde's an undead revenant in a massive suit of armor and Elise is a cult leader and head priestess. Confusion aside, Noxus definitely have a lot of "I will pummel you and you'll like it" champions.
Elise is (or was anyway considering how she is now) a noblewoman of Noxus. Mordekaiser's the weird thing that the Black Rose has locked up in their basement
Elise is a noble of noxus and while she is a faithfull of vilemaw she is most of the time noxian, mordekaiser on the other hand founded noxus and is sealed in the immortal bastion by the noxians too that opose him
@@gelidus3828 Yeah, Elise follows a similar fashion to Vladimir, as both are aristocrats with a lot of influence on Noxus society as well as being the masters of their respective cults. Regarding Mordekaiser, I think that he is not currently (not physically at least) on the Immortal Bastion, but Swain has voice lines about visions of a being followed by an army of souls that can conquer the whole of Runaterra. It also seems that the Black Rose knows about this, as they have tried and somewhat accomplished with Rell to create a countermeasure against Morde, not without taking it's price in blood from the subjects of their experiments, which has led to Rell seeking revenge against them.
The new Swain rework makes it so that Swain cannot use the CC of allies to pull opponents, he can only pull those who have been hit by his returning E. Hence, even that little semblance of team help he needed is now gone.
I think urgot should also get a mention since he's more noxian than riven and rell (and in a lore way Morde maybe) imo. This video also made me realize how noxian sett feels, from his lore where he fights to get where he is to his kit. His W, for example, is pretty much a more aggressive version of mordekaisers.
I like that all Noxian champions (with the exception of mages Vladimir, Cassiopeia and somehow Swain) are extremely strong in the early game. Their offensive game style is introduced not only by unstoppable snowball but also with the tools to snowball by killing your opponent by level 2 or 3. Le Blanc, Kled, Katarina, Talon, Darius, Draven, Elise, even Rell - they are demonically powerful from the very beginning, which means players HAVE TO play aggressively to win the game (exactly what Vars says). Can't say that I like playing as or against Noxians, but I truly appreciate this similarity in their design.
I feel like the exceptions are more true especially since the removal of RoA. As Swain I would harass people until I got it, then instantly became a full blown battlemage
Not sure if you ever saw it, Vars, but Dawngate was going a similar direction with their shapers (champions). Instead of looking at nation or kingdom themes, though, they were connecting them based on race. So all characters that were of a single race would share some trait common with that race within the kit. The first one they were exploring were an otter people that they wanted to have a mobility theme with all characters of that race. It actually worked out in an interesting fashion where you knew, going in, that this otter character was going to have some mobility to watch out for and it was a lot easier to spot than having to track their lore and faction; etc.
Personally I don’t mind these characters being so heavily aggressive. Some characters are a balance of offense and defense. Some are very defensive like shen or galio. The game needs the noxians. Blitzcrank just needs a hook to do his job no matter if he goes 0/12/4. True to their design, you can never count out a noxian

I feel like noxian champs are fine. They have clear weaknesses you can exploit most of the time. The issue is when you need to rely on your team for help. LoL, for a team game, requires you to play for yourself in ranked until you hit ranks like plat or diamond
I like Noxian lore, because it shows them to be more than just conquerors. I also like Noxian champions because they have clear goals, and strengths, but are not 200 years enough to not have weaknesses. Even though they might have the tools to snowball easy, it still isn't guaranteed, which perfectly embodies the values of Noxus itself. The idea of a Noxian support, or more specifically enchanter is very interesting. I can imagine it being like a ranged Pyke - supporting you by killing the enemy.

Renata Glasc’s kit and personality would be PERFECT for a Noxian enchanter. She’s manipulative and opportunistic which would allow her to thrive in Noxus, lore-wise. Her usage of toxins to revive allies and make enemies fight each other, would make sense given that Noxus has a lot of mages. And specifically for her revive, Noxus is confirmed to have mages who revive the dead (thanks to Sion’s followers in Legends of Runeterra). I think it would be hard to design a Noxian enchanter who can stand apart from Renata Glasc.
Do Targon next, I'm thinking it could be interesting, they're all about the elusiveness and variety of the stars, and yet its home to many of the game's most straightforward champions. (ex pantheon, leona, diana). We would really like an explanation of how that is translated in the rift!
When you put it like that, Noxus reminds me of a less-extreme version of Chaos in the Warhammer universe- it is extremely individualistic and warlike, and people rise to the top largely based on their own achievements. But it's worth noting that when you're playing a Noxus character, you're playing as the people who have made the system work for them, who have risen to the top of the hierarchy atop a mountain of dead rivals (Though it's questionable how happy even they are, given that even they still need to constantly reaffirm their worth). But most people in Noxus aren't those who have risen to the top. If you personally were a Noxian, you most likely wouldn't be Vladimir or Swain or Darius. You would be the assassin murdered by their own family for some failure, the hapless nobleman lured by Elise to a gruesome death for her own selfish ends, the pawn in LeBlanc's schemes that she throws to the wayside when she needs someone to take the fall, the gladiator who perishes in the sand for the crime of not being a skilled fighter, the old man who dies alone because their family and friends have either dismissed them as weak or perished, the slave soldier thrown into another pointless war to be promptly forgotten after you fall in battle (Hello Kayn); the simple merchant who the authorities do nothing to help when a gang robs you because "You should have defended yourself"; or the simple peasant who tilled their land, minding their own business until Noxus rolled in, defeated your village's militia and forced you and your family to live under their iron fist or die. Such an individualistic system only really works for a select minority of people, and even they arguably don't enjoy that great a quality of life; they have to live every day as if it were their last. A system should always strive to provide the best quality of life for everyone, instead of measuring people's worth by largely-arbitrary metrics like martial skill.
I'm not the best at playing the few noxian champions I have and watching this video I figured out why. I'm scared I'm gonna die and I don't always like to fight. Watching this helped me understand when playing these champs you need to have the mindset of "When can I get the jump on them?"
Amazing video bro :D However, more than shelfish i would say noxian philosophy would be more about being independant (both in lore and in game, since for instance, what noxian empire values from the people is that they are independant enough to contribute at their way with the collective interests). Also, technically, mordekaiser isnt noxian, indeed is the main enemy of noxus xD mordekaiser was the creator of the inmortal bastion, also he was the former boss of leblanc in the past, and he even captured spiritual entities as Veigar or Raum, the demon of secrets that for now is under swain's commands to make himself stronger. Leblanc betrayed him and now he is in the infraworld waiting to come back, and from that day, noxus was born. To make you figure it, if noxus was in transformers universe, swain and leblanc would be something like optimus prime and megatron.. and then we have mordekaiser, who would be unicron :p
While Swain was designed to be a mid lane mage, and I believe a mini update is in the works to push him back into that role right now, he is currently and has been for many years, primarily played as a support. Sion also found success as a support champion a few years back. So while they have never had a champion who was designed and intended to support, they have had champions move to the support role and be good at it.
Great video! I'd argue that Morde isn't from Noxus, though. He literally died before Noxus was a thing, and while they've claimed the Immortal Bastion, they fear his resurrection. Tho, to be fair, he doesn't really fit in with anyone else now that they've redone most of the Shadow Isle lore.

In fact, It seems that Swain is trying to gain as much power and resources for Noxus as fast as possible before something that he has visioned inside the Immortal Bastion (this something is probably Mordekaiser and his soul army) comes to claim the whole of Runaterra. That will explain why he says that people see him as a villain now, but that later he will be a hero, at least from the eyes of the Noxians.
Noxus is 100% out for themselves, but also they are shockingly noble in their twisted way. Because part of Noxus' goal is to prepare and stop Mordekaiser they are willing to conquer or invite anyone who has the skills and abilities they need for the upcoming war. If you are capable you are welcome in Noxus. This does lead to terrible things for anyone who doesn't fit this idea, but its still neat. Most war-focused fantasy nations would just steamroll any outsiders and be all about their inherent superiority *cough demacia cough*, but Noxus incorporates other nations because they want to be the best and they acknowledge other places have done things better.
just wanna mention that while rell is noxian in nationality, she isnt in alignment. Singed is in a similar boat, he may be zaunite as far as living there, but the work he has done for noxus perfectly encapsulates your point in the video

The editing with Sion driving towards the tower was so brutally good and made me laugh myself against the wall. Also, I think the times where Noxus were the villains are far gone with nations like Demacia being hyper racist at this point-
There's always the invasion of Ionia... even for a brutalist expansionist empire, the invasion of Ionia is quite villainous. Chemical weapons, child soldiers, religious and cultural destruction, destroying the Spirit of Ionia, etc.
Having to turn Demacia into "hyper racists" falls completely flat on it's face when they have a history of being screwed by mages. And even in the real world, legitimate racial/cultural grievances and slavery of historically dangerous enemies in ancient wartime nations is the least offensive trait to attribute to civilizations.
Can't talk about Noxian concepts/ideology without bringing up Urgot, especially considering he is a Noxian. When you play him you basically listen to him speak the Noxian Gospel all game.
The faceless is a position for the assassin guild members. They rotate who the faceless is all the time if I remember correctly but it’s always an assassin from the guild
No the faceless is 1 person and is present in every meeting the trifarix have. They are described as small and feminine looking with their whole face and body covered in a black cloak, and he/she never speaks when people are around other than Swain and Darius.
8:42 I think Sio nis somebody who doesn't count, he is a tank that has a lot of cc, health and damage. he is meant to help his team and inspire them to keep fighting.
Some feedback for your different outro on this video : Without a better transition into the swain quote and intense music, the ending kind of comes across as some additional filler/fluff that doesn't land fittingly. With you ending on such positive light notes, doing something like this with yordle music or even demacian music makes more sense. My main point is to either try to tailor the ending of the voice part of the video to the type of music and quote being editted in

When you mentioned the three ruling parts of noxus, it made me remember that there are these cards in runeterra based on that; might, which has a statue of darius on it, vision, which has swain as the statue, and guile, which has leblanc representing it. Lor sometimes doesn't see eye to eye with lol lore sometimes, but it's clear she's involved somehow, she always is.
Regarding that card, it was confirmed that there was a miscommunication between the different departments, and her being the statue is a mistake.

A noxian enchanter would be really cool.
Imagine something like a debuff where it does nothing when first applied, but requires you to deal a certain amount of damage in a time period or you get hit by a really bad damage debuff for an extended period of time or something. It fits the noxian “prove your worth” theme really well
One thing I thought of if we're designing a prove your worth themed enchanter is an enchanter that heals you for a flat amount then gives you grey health that scales based on how much damage you have dealt. If you don't deal any damage at all within the set time period, you dont get the bonus heal

I'm so glad we got a Noxus episode quickly. These guys are by far my favorite region. Fantastic video but I would have liked to see more discussion about half Noxian champions like Kayn, Xin Zhao, and Sett and how the Noxian themes are explored there.

Edit after seeing the video: That's why Noxus Champions are ny favorite. They all have this thematically acurate kit. Talon is described in lore as an assassin who ends his jobs on a quick stab, and also is said he never lets himself be seen, flees the scene right after the murder, and his victim doesn't even know he is there, so, how does that translates to his gameplay? Tons of single target damage, and he is pretty much dead if he blows his combo and his target survives or if he can't flee the scene. Katarina is known for being the same as Talon, but more flamboyant, and likes when her victims met her before she kills them, its translated to the gameplay by making her jump around with her daggers, and dealing damafe each time she jumps into a dagger, she even loojs like she's almost dancing with her Passive and Ult. LeBlanc, Darius, Swain, and so on and so forth, each of them are so accurate to their lore personas that if they were to create a series about Noxus, I wouldn't be surprised if all of them do things similar to what they do in game.

Just adding another example (cuz I like the idea)
Swain in lore is obsessed in collecting information and using it instead of pure strength, which just makes him perfect for Raun (demon of secrets). This has a lot of references in game, not only the most obvios being his W which is quite the vision tool (and also funniest ability to use in his kit, quite unique for a non-ult have this range and just annoy people in other lanes and get assists by blocking escape routes in the jungle with 2 second slow)
Anyways, besides that it is also tematic and fun to hear he saying the other champions secrets when landing W on them, like one of the most known to Jinx:
- Faces... fading in the flames... It was all her fault
Or my favorite, when Swain lands W on an enemy Swain:
- I already know that.
Even as Swain can be a support, or at least have certain support tools even in midlane, it is also tied to his lore, as he is literally called "the noxian grand general" which means he knows how to controll tropes, and is an expert in using his allies strength to the best (like waiting for an ally to CC in order do use W, or wait a team fight to use your ultimate (where is at it's best) or pull whit E on allied cc (he now can't do that, but still this is more of a balancing thing).
Even when working on a team he makes sure to say what he thinks, having lines that really fit a general giving instructions, not working as equal. I wanted to write 20 voice lines here, bcuz they are great, but I will spare you of more reading and have just a few mocking lines, cuz they are great.

- Fame has gone to your head, and found ample room withing.
- They are five steps from realising: I am 10 steps ahead.

I'm a bit excited for the take on SI champions. One common theme I've noticed from them is them simply not letting you escape them in some way, whether it be chasing you down (Kalista, Hecarim, Viego), Locking you down (Maokai, Thresh, Yorick), or outright killing you when you thought you escaped (Karthus)

From what i remember the faceless is the rogues guild of noxus as a whole, theyre the faceless cuz everyone within the clan represents it - they have no one leader.
I think at meetings they would send a different member every time, hence faceless, no one face can represent them (Also if their face got out their power would dwindle since you know, rogues)
Hadn't see any of the prior videos but I've played the game for a long time and just now am realizing just how much champions from a shared nation are similar not only to the region's core but also each other, in terms gameplay patterns and ideals. Actually pretty cool, especially looking at Riven who has the mobility and flow of an Ionian but the brute strength and oppression of a Noxian.

Sion is my favorite tank to play for that specific reason. He doesn't feel forced into the same hole as every other tank. You need a full CC tank who can crush teamfights, you got it. But do you need a splipush champ who can take turrets. You got that too. You need more damage so he goes a juggernaut build and becomes terrifying to 1 vs 1. You got it. He can do alot where most full tanks can only do 1 thing.

Okay, since when was Mordekaiser and Elise classified as Noxus based champs? Last I recalled, they were Shadow Isles since Morde's an undead revenant in a massive suit of armor and Elise is a cult leader and head priestess.
Confusion aside, Noxus definitely have a lot of "I will pummel you and you'll like it" champions.
Elise is (or was anyway considering how she is now) a noblewoman of Noxus. Mordekaiser's the weird thing that the Black Rose has locked up in their basement
Elise is a noble of noxus and while she is a faithfull of vilemaw she is most of the time noxian, mordekaiser on the other hand founded noxus and is sealed in the immortal bastion by the noxians too that opose him
@@gelidus3828 Yeah, Elise follows a similar fashion to Vladimir, as both are aristocrats with a lot of influence on Noxus society as well as being the masters of their respective cults.
Regarding Mordekaiser, I think that he is not currently (not physically at least) on the Immortal Bastion, but Swain has voice lines about visions of a being followed by an army of souls that can conquer the whole of Runaterra. It also seems that the Black Rose knows about this, as they have tried and somewhat accomplished with Rell to create a countermeasure against Morde, not without taking it's price in blood from the subjects of their experiments, which has led to Rell seeking revenge against them.

The new Swain rework makes it so that Swain cannot use the CC of allies to pull opponents, he can only pull those who have been hit by his returning E. Hence, even that little semblance of team help he needed is now gone.
He still puts a bunch of pressure on the map with his W, which quite often is a deciding factor for winning the fight for your team.
I think urgot should also get a mention since he's more noxian than riven and rell (and in a lore way Morde maybe) imo. This video also made me realize how noxian sett feels, from his lore where he fights to get where he is to his kit. His W, for example, is pretty much a more aggressive version of mordekaisers.

This is the coolest breakdown of a faction I've ever seen.
I like that all Noxian champions (with the exception of mages Vladimir, Cassiopeia and somehow Swain) are extremely strong in the early game. Their offensive game style is introduced not only by unstoppable snowball but also with the tools to snowball by killing your opponent by level 2 or 3. Le Blanc, Kled, Katarina, Talon, Darius, Draven, Elise, even Rell - they are demonically powerful from the very beginning, which means players HAVE TO play aggressively to win the game (exactly what Vars says).
Can't say that I like playing as or against Noxians, but I truly appreciate this similarity in their design.
I feel like the exceptions are more true especially since the removal of RoA. As Swain I would harass people until I got it, then instantly became a full blown battlemage
Katarinas early game is actually really weak unless you get a kill in a skirmish and get resets
Not sure if you ever saw it, Vars, but Dawngate was going a similar direction with their shapers (champions).
Instead of looking at nation or kingdom themes, though, they were connecting them based on race. So all characters that were of a single race would share some trait common with that race within the kit. The first one they were exploring were an otter people that they wanted to have a mobility theme with all characters of that race.
It actually worked out in an interesting fashion where you knew, going in, that this otter character was going to have some mobility to watch out for and it was a lot easier to spot than having to track their lore and faction; etc.

I feel like noxian champs are fine. They have clear weaknesses you can exploit most of the time. The issue is when you need to rely on your team for help. LoL, for a team game, requires you to play for yourself in ranked until you hit ranks like plat or diamond

I like Noxian lore, because it shows them to be more than just conquerors. I also like Noxian champions because they have clear goals, and strengths, but are not 200 years enough to not have weaknesses. Even though they might have the tools to snowball easy, it still isn't guaranteed, which perfectly embodies the values of Noxus itself. The idea of a Noxian support, or more specifically enchanter is very interesting. I can imagine it being like a ranged Pyke - supporting you by killing the enemy.

Renata Glasc’s kit and personality would be PERFECT for a Noxian enchanter.
She’s manipulative and opportunistic which would allow her to thrive in Noxus, lore-wise.
Her usage of toxins to revive allies and make enemies fight each other, would make sense given that Noxus has a lot of mages. And specifically for her revive, Noxus is confirmed to have mages who revive the dead (thanks to Sion’s followers in Legends of Runeterra).
I think it would be hard to design a Noxian enchanter who can stand apart from Renata Glasc.

Do Targon next, I'm thinking it could be interesting, they're all about the elusiveness and variety of the stars, and yet its home to many of the game's most straightforward champions. (ex pantheon, leona, diana). We would really like an explanation of how that is translated in the rift!

When you put it like that, Noxus reminds me of a less-extreme version of Chaos in the Warhammer universe- it is extremely individualistic and warlike, and people rise to the top largely based on their own achievements. But it's worth noting that when you're playing a Noxus character, you're playing as the people who have made the system work for them, who have risen to the top of the hierarchy atop a mountain of dead rivals (Though it's questionable how happy even they are, given that even they still need to constantly reaffirm their worth).
But most people in Noxus aren't those who have risen to the top. If you personally were a Noxian, you most likely wouldn't be Vladimir or Swain or Darius. You would be the assassin murdered by their own family for some failure, the hapless nobleman lured by Elise to a gruesome death for her own selfish ends, the pawn in LeBlanc's schemes that she throws to the wayside when she needs someone to take the fall, the gladiator who perishes in the sand for the crime of not being a skilled fighter, the old man who dies alone because their family and friends have either dismissed them as weak or perished, the slave soldier thrown into another pointless war to be promptly forgotten after you fall in battle (Hello Kayn); the simple merchant who the authorities do nothing to help when a gang robs you because "You should have defended yourself"; or the simple peasant who tilled their land, minding their own business until Noxus rolled in, defeated your village's militia and forced you and your family to live under their iron fist or die.
Such an individualistic system only really works for a select minority of people, and even they arguably don't enjoy that great a quality of life; they have to live every day as if it were their last. A system should always strive to provide the best quality of life for everyone, instead of measuring people's worth by largely-arbitrary metrics like martial skill.
Swain is selfless, he could play mid, but he play bot because he like to have 2x chances of cc in lane.
Interesting parallel to sions damaging shield in Ivern, who was a noxian general.

I'm not the best at playing the few noxian champions I have and watching this video I figured out why. I'm scared I'm gonna die and I don't always like to fight. Watching this helped me understand when playing these champs you need to have the mindset of "When can I get the jump on them?"

However, more than shelfish i would say noxian philosophy would be more about being independant (both in lore and in game, since for instance, what noxian empire values from the people is that they are independant enough to contribute at their way with the collective interests).
Also, technically, mordekaiser isnt noxian, indeed is the main enemy of noxus xD
mordekaiser was the creator of the inmortal bastion, also he was the former boss of leblanc in the past, and he even captured spiritual entities as Veigar or Raum, the demon of secrets that for now is under swain's commands to make himself stronger.
Leblanc betrayed him and now he is in the infraworld waiting to come back, and from that day, noxus was born.
To make you figure it, if noxus was in transformers universe, swain and leblanc would be something like optimus prime and megatron.. and then we have mordekaiser, who would be unicron :p

While Swain was designed to be a mid lane mage, and I believe a mini update is in the works to push him back into that role right now, he is currently and has been for many years, primarily played as a support. Sion also found success as a support champion a few years back. So while they have never had a champion who was designed and intended to support, they have had champions move to the support role and be good at it.
I hope the mini rework makes swain fun again, i used to run bruiser swain top lane when we had roa....
Great video! I'd argue that Morde isn't from Noxus, though. He literally died before Noxus was a thing, and while they've claimed the Immortal Bastion, they fear his resurrection. Tho, to be fair, he doesn't really fit in with anyone else now that they've redone most of the Shadow Isle lore.

I mean...he's literally an undead revnant thing that conquered death. Pretty sure he doesn't really concern himself with things like nations. He'd crush Noxus just as willingly as he would Ionia or Demacia.
In fact, It seems that Swain is trying to gain as much power and resources for Noxus as fast as possible before something that he has visioned inside the Immortal Bastion (this something is probably Mordekaiser and his soul army) comes to claim the whole of Runaterra. That will explain why he says that people see him as a villain now, but that later he will be a hero, at least from the eyes of the Noxians.
Noxus is 100% out for themselves, but also they are shockingly noble in their twisted way. Because part of Noxus' goal is to prepare and stop Mordekaiser they are willing to conquer or invite anyone who has the skills and abilities they need for the upcoming war. If you are capable you are welcome in Noxus. This does lead to terrible things for anyone who doesn't fit this idea, but its still neat. Most war-focused fantasy nations would just steamroll any outsiders and be all about their inherent superiority *cough demacia cough*, but Noxus incorporates other nations because they want to be the best and they acknowledge other places have done things better.

There's always the invasion of Ionia... even for a brutalist expansionist empire, the invasion of Ionia is quite villainous. Chemical weapons, child soldiers, religious and cultural destruction, destroying the Spirit of Ionia, etc.
Having to turn Demacia into "hyper racists" falls completely flat on it's face when they have a history of being screwed by mages.
And even in the real world, legitimate racial/cultural grievances and slavery of historically dangerous enemies in ancient wartime nations is the least offensive trait to attribute to civilizations.

The faceless is a position for the assassin guild members. They rotate who the faceless is all the time if I remember correctly but it’s always an assassin from the guild
No the faceless is 1 person and is present in every meeting the trifarix have. They are described as small and feminine looking with their whole face and body covered in a black cloak, and he/she never speaks when people are around other than Swain and Darius.
They also have stacking mechanics
Darius passive, talon passive, Vladimir passive, riven passive, swain passive, etc

Some feedback for your different outro on this video : Without a better transition into the swain quote and intense music, the ending kind of comes across as some additional filler/fluff that doesn't land fittingly. With you ending on such positive light notes, doing something like this with yordle music or even demacian music makes more sense. My main point is to either try to tailor the ending of the voice part of the video to the type of music and quote being editted in
nice feedback, All I have to add is that just like Irelia players taking horrible trades and still getting carried by the champ so the outro could have a better transition and be better but it's carried by how good the music is XD
