@@nawal10 I kind of saw this scene as a good lesson for what to do when someone you know is having an anxiety attack. A lot of people either don’t know or don’t take anxiety serious. this scene alone was worth watching the season! I admit the first two eps are kinda hard to get trough and i considered stopping but this scene made it all worth it! These two actors have and incredible chemistry!
Initially, I was disappointed with this scene compared to the book (And I'm just gonna say SPOILERS for anyone who hasn't read it yet): In the book, Anthony also panics like we see here. However, he proceeds to try to get the venom out. First with a handkerchief, then he tries to SUCK it out. I'll leave it there for anyone who now wants to read the book to see what happens next... Looking back, I realized this made more sense when you consider the fact he was (In the show) present when his dad was dying, which took less than a minute. In the book, he found out after the fact, and wasn't sure of the details surrounding his death outside of the bee sting, so he wasn't sure how to act facing the situation with Kate later. Overall, this scene is still very good
I nearly had a heart attack when I seen them alone with a bee in the garden on barely episode 3 😂😂😂 for a few minutes I had to pause it because I was kinda freaking out thinking that the book scene was actually going to play out and my mind just kept screaming that this scene was coming wayyyy too soon and that it would make more sense if it happened in episode 7 or 8, then once I was brave enough to continue the episode, I was so glad it didn't actually play out like I thought it would. I was discussing the change with my sister who also watched the show the same day I did and we came to the conclusion that they probably changed it in order to not give the audience a repeat of season 1 where they were caught in the garden then urged to wed, if it happened in the same situation as Simon and Daphne then the audience might not be too entertained by the idea.
@@MarySanchez-zl1sg I've been thinking a lot about the changes in the show as the second book is my favorite: I realized when it came to those elements, books 1 and 2 are identical in a sense: Marriage of convenience, some sort of distress during that time frame that drives the husband away. @@SebinMatthew that's what you get for being presumptuous. And why I find the bee scene ridiculous is how tropey it feels. Don't get me wrong, it fits the genre but when you're doing an adaptation, the whole philosophy is that you're adapting it to a different medium and some things just works differently. Books like Bridgerton (and I'm also talking about the whole genre) just wont work with direct adaptation with very minor changes. It would make the adaptation very bland. With adaptation, they need to add more things, give more structure, add insights into other characters etc. And Netflix nailed all of them. I like the book as it is but I know for a fact that that bee scene just won't work in the adaptation.
I had to rewind this scene damn near four times because of the editing. I thought my mind was glitching from fatigue, but they were just trying to emulate a panic attack lol
I must say I love how they changed this scene a bit from the book the way Kate calms him is beautiful and in one unique moment they are seen as one the way they both have their hands on each other's hearts. Simple scene but so gorgeous
This scene was so freaking powerful. More so than anything from season 1 (even though I love the Duke and Daphne). Especially when you find out how Anthony’s father died you can understand his panic.
I absolutely love everything about this scene. It really is the start of their beautiful love story. The colours of their clothing, his purple jacket and her blue dress help to excentuate their brown eyes and the love in them. And don't forget the sound of the bee.
I feel like this is the moment Anthony fell in love with Kate in the book although he didn’t let himself believe it because he didn’t want to because he didn’t want to make her feel devastated when he died
If I was her I would have been screaming cause I don’t like bees but she was brave and took that sting like a champ. The tension here is intense and I love it.
I completely disagree ... They never included her traumatic lightening ptsd ... And there was no library scene where they comfort each other and discuss their fears ...... On top of that Anthony never discusses his fear of death and age ...
@@vei80s53 Anthony also discusses how he fears that he will be die the same age his father died which is an interesting concept .... Kate consoles him and tells him how he is wrong ...

Also I am not watching it FOR attractive and desirable men...wherever did you get that meaning? I said the book male characters don't have much redeemable qualities but the show makers did a good job making them have that...this show is nothing but an entertainment drama and I look at it as such...there are literally millions of books to adapt from with good messages... these books are nothing compared to them...also when watching a lead character you want to root for it right? If they followed the book it would be hard, so yes men in those days might have been terrible but we are watching a movie, a series....not a documentary
Such a beautiful scene 😭❤
Wish we had more of these scenes! That’s what we needed more of! I love this so much!!
I think my favorite part of this scene is when they pull away from each other and you can see the utter confusion on their faces
The only time you realize you love them, is when you don't want to lose them.
Amazing chemistry!!!! Obsessed with season 2 just finished it in two days lol
i'm too young to watch this show but I keep seeing scenes of them and they're so cute🥺🥺
So much more meaningful than the book , they outdid the book ,the writers.
Johnny n Simone Well done !!
the musiccccc. gives me chills everytime
What is the name of the music??
I had to rewind this scene damn near four times because of the editing. I thought my mind was glitching from fatigue, but they were just trying to emulate a panic attack lol
One of my favorite scene. Anthony and kate just perfect for each other. Simone Ashley so beautiful.
I loved this scene so much! The fact that I'm allergic to bee stings are a bonus! 💗💖
It is such a great scene. And he was fantastic in it.💖💖
I must say I love how they changed this scene a bit from the book the way Kate calms him is beautiful and in one unique moment they are seen as one the way they both have their hands on each other's hearts. Simple scene but so gorgeous
What happened in the book?
@@anonymousstill9276 don't you want to read the book ??
Awe the fact that he has PTSD because his father died from a bee sting 😢
Jonathon is such a good actor. His eyes are so expressive
The moment they felt clear passion🔥 for each other for the very first time😍♥️
One of my prefered moments, the acting in this scene is really good!
Best scene!! Felt the feelings I was meant to feel in this scene 🙌🏽
Their eye acting this season was👑👑👑
I really loved their acting in this scene.
This scene was so freaking powerful. More so than anything from season 1 (even though I love the Duke and Daphne). Especially when you find out how Anthony’s father died you can understand his panic.
I love this scene, perfection 👌🏼
I absolutely love everything about this scene. It really is the start of their beautiful love story. The colours of their clothing, his purple jacket and her blue dress help to excentuate their brown eyes and the love in them. And don't forget the sound of the bee.
Oh my goodnes he was like a stressed but she calmed him good way
Best scene in the entire series (so far)
They are brilliant!
This scene was incredible.
I too was stung…by Kate and Anthony’s powerful chemistry 😍🐝
😅
I feel like this is the moment Anthony fell in love with Kate in the book although he didn’t let himself believe it because he didn’t want to because he didn’t want to make her feel devastated when he died
The chemistry they have is out of this world💯
If I was her I would have been screaming cause I don’t like bees but she was brave and took that sting like a champ. The tension here is intense and I love it.
For the first time a Netflix series is better than the book
I completely disagree ...
They never included her traumatic lightening ptsd ...
And there was no library scene where they comfort each other and discuss their fears ......
On top of that Anthony never discusses his fear of death and age ...
@@Iden_Elihio_1999 wuuuuuh what a pity
@@vei80s53 Anthony also discusses how he fears that he will be die the same age his father died which is an interesting concept ....
Kate consoles him and tells him how he is wrong ...
Always thought the bee sting was a sign from Edmund just as Kate's bangle dropping was a sign from her dad.
Bridgerton is not really my thing and I couldn't really care about these two until this scene happened. Very intense, very well acted and oozing with chemistry. I would have loved them more if the show hadn't forced them into a love triangle plot.
It wasn’t really a traditional love triangle though. At least not between Kate, Edwina, and Anthony. I think it was more between Kate and her love for her sister and growing feelings for Anthony.
This scene had me screaming, spinning in my seat, falling to the floor, breathless and HOOKED. Absolute favorite part of the season for me, I’d never been so effected by a show scene before (and then the wedding scene happened, but that had me screaming rolling losing it from embarrassment LMAOOO)
What a great duet of acting
Bish Y'all I've been dying from simping this FREAKIN FINE MAN FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS☹
I NEED HELP..also This scene is JUST👌🏻
AHHHH THIS SCENE IS SO POWERFUL ONG!!!! IN EVERY WAY SHAPE AND FORM!!! :)
That was a great scene!
had fallen short of words after watching this scene ❤🐝
Anthony is already in love right here
They are a POWER couple.
Ugh this scene is sooooo good
Oh man…this scene! It was even better in the book!
