For 1 thing, they aren't considered marriage candidates. U can sleep with them, u can take 1 as a mistress but u don't marry them nor do u have 2 respect their reputation becoz they have no social standing. I’ve seen many people state the season’s slow burn was too much and far too drawn out. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I thought the length of the burn was PERFECT. I was breathless by the time these two idiots finally gave in to their passion. The chemistry they have is on another level. Seriously, they’re one of the two most convincing couples I’ve ever seen on screen (behind Jamie and Claire from Outlander).
The slowburn is delicious. Everything is too rushed today. You meet someone & people have sex on the 1st date. Sex is like a handshake today. Give me the drawn out slow burn any time. This way, you get to savor every moment & wallow in scents.
For me it wasn’t that the slow burn was drawn out, I feel just as you say, but I do find that I wished there were more scenes between them after they have already given in and are living their life as a couple or figuring it out. Even though I lovedctheir story and arc, definetly a step up.
When Anthony tells Kate he can't imagine his life without her and that's why he wants to marry her gets me every time. Would that someone would ever say those words to me.
Can’t stop watching these two, such angst and tension. They are fantastic actors, they make it feel so real. Even better than season one, If that is possible. Roll on season 3. Very different from the book. The sets, costumes, decor, are simply fantastic. A marvelous production.

So you find my smile pleasing. The way Anthony speaks these words..... What a fantastic season. A absolute treat yo watch Anthony and kate again and again. The dialogues are so well written , they touch your heart.
Great acting. Fabulous casting. I so enjoy the alternate universe that Bridgerton creates, wherein there is no racism; everything is about status and money instead. Kate and Anthony are the hottest couple since Bridgerton series 1. There have been so few romantic series in the last few years. The pandemic has been pouring ice water on all the romance. I really enjoy that they are using contemporary music arranged for chamber orchestra; it makes it so much more relatable, and also demonstrates that Melody is not dead!
The acting was superb. Rewatching it for a third time helped detect all the slight nuances and complexities the actors and actresses brought to their roles. Well cast indeed.
Love it. The scene where Violet tells Anthony, Kate is awake . Violet makes me cry every time. I thought I was going to be upset if they change the story too much. The acting is superb.

That scene was brilliant and especially so seeing his family’s reaction to his happiness. That smile of his at the end when the camera pans away was everything 💕

I loved the 1st season, but it was the 2nd season with Kate and Anthony that I honestly burned for this series. Never so hooked on characters like the Bridgerton’s. I absolutely love them, can’t wait til season 3 ❤️
The 1st series was ok & I honestly didn't plan on watching again, but these two are incredible together! Thank goodness I was able to watch it straight through & not wait a week in between! lol The writing & especially the acting was simply fantastic. So glad I gave it another chance! They do make a beautiful couple!

Without a doubt the mature spin and changes to the character of Kate and Anthony made the show superior to the book. However, I still do wish that the show hadn't kept up the love triangle for so long. The bee incident should have still ended the love triangle, just not in the same way as the book as that would have been a repeat of season 1. They should have maintained Edwina's wish to marry a scholar and her lack of interest in Anthony.

@@nextstopxeverywhere More than cause a scene and leed to a forced marriage, the bee sting should have still ended the love triangle. Perhaps, by making Anthony realise that he cannot marry Edwina as he would spend the rest of his life lusting after Kate (not all to different from Anthony's thought process in the novel around that time). In other words in the show the bee incident should have made Anthony act as he did after the marriage ceremony with Edwina falls apart (obsessed with Kate but still not willing to marry her cause he will not marry for love as he has not overcome his trauma but now not able to marry Edwina). Anthony would have been there stuck between his desires and trauma. As such he would not propose to Edwina but he wouldn't know which other girl to pursue for marriage being completely obsessed with Kate but unwilling to marry her. Edwina is slightly hurt by Anthony's lack of progress. Cue in drama, as Kate is pissed at Anthony for his inaction. Have them argue. Now time for the accident (either broken leg or coma doesn't really matter) and Anthony realizes the precariousness of life and how he'd rather have Kate to himself whilst they are still both alive than not. Edwina finds herself the scholar she wanted to marry, and Anthony confesses to Kate. Last episode is the marriage and their married life together.
I am unwell because of this show, particularly these two. I want love like this. And only this. This chemistry and love is something I haven’t seen ever and it makes me believe in love for some reason. Oh I wish I could live in this show, that’s how intensly I have felt it. It is truly a masterpiece 🩷

i love the book but i think this series is much more better coz it was so intense and i went crazy when they change the proposal part
it made it so much better imo!!!! edwina really grew as a character as well in the show. All we really knew from the book was that she was pretty and kind. the show gave her depth
Without a doubt the mature spin and changes to the character of Kate and Anthony made the show superior to the book. However, I still do wish that the show hadn't kept up the love triangle for so long. The bee incident should have still ended the love triangle, just not in the same way as the book as that would have been a repeat of season 1. They should have maintained Edwina's wish to marry a scholar and her lack of interest in Anthony.
@@kristianbasile7141 Agree with this completely. The bee scene should have caused the scene it did the book (with more consent of course). But I still loved it nonetheless
@@nextstopxeverywhere More than cause a scene and leed to a forced marriage, the bee sting should have still ended the love triangle. Perhaps, by making Anthony realise that he cannot marry Edwina as he would spend the rest of his life lusting after Kate (not all to different from Anthony's thought process in the novel around that time). In other words in the show the bee incident should have made Anthony act as he did after the marriage ceremony with Edwina falls apart (obsessed with Kate but still not willing to marry her cause he will not marry for love as he has not overcome his trauma but now not able to marry Edwina). Anthony would have been there stuck between his desires and trauma. As such he would not propose to Edwina but he wouldn't know which other girl to pursue for marriage being completely obsessed with Kate but unwilling to marry her. Edwina is slightly hurt by Anthony's lack of progress. Cue in drama, as Kate is pissed at Anthony for his inaction. Have them argue. Now time for the accident (either broken leg or coma doesn't really matter) and Anthony realizes the precariousness of life and how he'd rather have Kate to himself whilst they are still both alive than not. Edwina finds herself the scholar she wanted to marry, and Anthony confesses to Kate. Last episode is the marriage and their married life together.
