How do you think the series would have changed?

I feel like this series could be more straightforward and quick similar to Pokemon origins.
Since there wouldn’t be any team rockets gags, Pikachu buddy progression, Brock and Misty tagging along, no early gym leader struggles, and no Charizard struggle.

I usually like your theories Proto, but I don't agree on this one. You just made it look like Ash is a great trainer. Which he certainly wasn't back in the day...
So I agree to the point that he would likely get Bulbasaur. But he would still likely attempt to catch that Spearow, and since he had almost zero knowledge, he would likely miss the Pidgey, and Bulbasaur would be probably tired by that moment to became a victim to that Spearow or its flock... Then it would be either a fight with or without Pidgey, resulting in loss and beaten ass as well... He might miss on seeing Ho-Oh because of that, and he wouldn't likely get to know Misty (at least not that soon), since he wouldn't have to run to protect Bulbasaur (he would return it to pokeball).
So after his first loss he would have to find his way through the woods with fainted Bulba, likely injured too... and since he wouldn't run, it all would take him much longer. He wouldn't be able to catch any pokemon, and after he made it through he would find the robbed poke center. That wouldn't help his courage, but he might help nurse Joy to recover the center to its functions back, and might sooner or later meet Misty during that. So they would hit it in more friendlier way... If so, it could still go in Ash's favor later on, but if not, and they wouldn't meet/pair up, he would be likely doomed...
He would continue to Pewter city through Viridian forest and healed Bulbasaur, and he would likely catch Caterpie anyway... But his Bulbasaur would be a bad matchup to most battles and with Caterpie only he would struggle through... He would meet and fight the Samurai, and unless Caterpie evolved like it did against TR, Ash would likely loose this, since that Pinsir would likely be too big of a challenge... But with Metapod and that harden it might end with a draw... After he made it through to the Pewter city he would try against Brock, and it could go either way. I mean Ash would still know zero about typing, he wouldn't even have Pidgeotto and without Pikachu he might not get the help from Flint against Brock, if he would loose the first fight... After all that he would try again and at some stage he would either win, or Brock would see his determination so he would explain to him the typing to help him... And with that Ash would finally had first gym badge...
Then he would likely beat the Cerulean gym, and his Caterpie would evolve to Metapod, or Metapod to Butterfree... He might caught some new pokemon and finally start getting better, but I think he would loose to Lt. Surge, since Surge was really ruthless gym leader... Then Ash would likely ask himself again, if he shouldn't give up... He would likely call to Oak to get even more depressed with Gary's progress and only his mum would refuse him to gave up like that... Then it would continue with the struggle, but eventually he would beat him after Bulbasaur evolved and continue... He wouldn't likely meet AJ, since he lacked only 2 victories, but he would likely run across Team Rocket sooner or later... And somehow they would start hunting him, only with different reason (probably to catch Ivysaur since it's rare)... And then it would get into more wild guess what would happen afterwards... Except for Sabrina's gym. There it would repeat, with only difference that she wouldn't capture Brock, and depending on the outcome with Misty maybe even her... Maybe she would only capture Ash's pokemon, so that would be the reason for Ash to beat her...
In the end of all this I think Ash would miss the pokemon league either by not having 8 badges in time, or not beeing able to get 8... And so he would have to decide what to do next...

"Without Brock and Misty to hold him back" may be my new favorite phrase in the English language.

The series probably would have died without shoving pikachu in your face 24/7 😂

That what if it's pretty awesome. I mean, the entire idea of an alternate universe and Ash not having Misty or Brock tag along would be interesting. I think it's also pretty interesting that Ash only ran into Misty because his Pikachu had electrocuted the Spearrow and they wanted revenge hence why her bike got destroyed.

@@aurahoneydew9607 I actually thought about that cause in that universe, Ash's Charizard continued to obey him.

I like this what if, this does leads to more question like why don’t some of Ash canon Pokémon not evolve. Like Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and more. Could Pikachu play a factor to those Pokémon and effect future teams in later generations/regions.

Nope. Ash would have likely died without Brock or Misty.

Whatching this made me ask myself, “why do badges make Pokémon obey you?” 🤔

    • @MadTheEgg
      @MadTheEgg 2 месяца назад +1

Because they represent the skill of their trainer... The ability to fight through the challenge, to overcome the difficulties... So the badges make them respect the trainer more/easier for both sides in order to became better team (unless the trainer is just bad)...

    TL:DR
*ASH WOULD BECOME RED FROM GAMES AND SPENT THE REST OF HIS LIFE ON MOUNT SILVER*

But why did ash have 3 empty poke balls... And Gary is shown with his Squirtle in a poke ball... Like the other trainers took their pokemon in their balls and oak was like "hey you know what would be hilarious? What if I get the hopes of a 10 year old boy up... And then watch as he realizes how terrible life could be... Gimme them empty balls"

Crush Gary's spirit, find Team Rocket, destroy them to the point that they fear Ash.
In short: Ash would be the winner of every league

Honestly I don't think he would have had the exact team, I think this is where you flubbed in this video and I can tell you why, the proof is in the show itself. Yes I do agree he would have got Bulbasaur as a starter, but I think his first pokemon immediately after that would have been a rattata, and since Bulbasaur would have listened to him he would have caught it easily, he did actually encounter this pokemon first in the show after getting Pikachu, followed by a Pidgey. So I do think he would have ended up with a Pidgeotto but only after evolving his Pidgey. I do think he still would have gotten a caterpie but he would have also ended up with a weedle too. So by the time he arrives in Pewter he would have a Bulbasaur, Pidgey, Rattata, Butterfree and a Beedrill.
