      VW has no plans of doing away with Sedans. They said it in the key note that they are aware of the high volume sales of midsize sedans. Not everyone is like Ford which hasn't made the best decisions during their life time.

    In Europe, it´s available as a Shooting Brake. And let me tell you, a VW Arteon Shooting Brake with the R-Line package and in lapiz blue metallic is one of the most drop dead gorgeous cars ever in my opinion. Never thought I´d say that about a VW.

    I have the 2023 SEL model, with the same exterior color but black interior. I'm a VW fan, but not so much with the American made models and the Arteon is a pleasure to drive. I truly look forward to my daily commutes and it's a very comfortable highway cruiser.

Will be buying a 23’ with 7 miles. The SEL Premium R-Line is the best trim for me. I will be tuning my 23’ with an ecu and tcu flash. I prefer to keep my VW’s sleepers. No intake, intercooler, or exhaust mods. I hope you’re enjoying the Arteon as much as I do. ✌️

    The Arteon (and Passat) are scheduled to be replaced by the ID-7. Ventilated and massaging front seats delete (w/$500 cash back) due to COVID chip shortage. The top speed is governed.
    But if you think the Arteon's interior is spartan, go sit in an equally priced Audi A5 and see what you get. Then do the same with a BMW 5 Series if you can find one that basic. Almost everything you get on the R-Line is standard that you pay extra for in the Audi. Is there any wonder its 20k more?

    I’ve read several reviews of test drive’s on the 2024 Arteon SEL. This car is stunning. I’m not so sure it will be dropped for 2024. The electric vehicles for all manufacturers have stopped producing them. They’re not selling. Batteries are catching fire, hydrogen are exploding & others are electrocuting people. Reliability is an absolute disaster. The one Kia model cost $60K to replace the battery system. The maintenance costs are extremely expensive. The recent cold snap has caused most Electric Car owner’s with no car’s to drive due to dead batteries.

    Volkswagen always wants to play in the Audi sandbox by offering an "affordable" premium sedan. But the features you give up to save a few bucks keep reminding you of their absence. VW doesn't hide cost-cutting with the flair of its competitors. I think that's what held the Arteon back saleswise. The Arteon has sports sedan looks outside that the rest of the car can't deliver - unless you stay at the mid-trim level where the features and price synch. That Arteon face looks like a Mopar Hellcat eater, but it ain't got the stomach to match. Good job, Miles!

    OK. I own a 2021 Arteon SEL R line in Kings Red. Beautiful car. That said, here's the experience. For over a year the car has had a glitz in the electronics. A warning flashes on the dash repeatedly saying "The travel assist feature is unavailable". It comes and goes intermittently. My car is not the only VW model cursed by this, just google it. The fix is to replace the steering wheel, which has been unavailable for 6 months. I cannot trade this car in for this reason as any other dealer will not take the car in with a problem. Now, my car was over $47K out the door, I have been quoted $25K for trade in by that same dealer, a depreciation of $22K in just 2 1/2 years. Stay away from them.

    • @Jenny_Thalia
      @Jenny_Thalia 5 месяцев назад +2

      They did you dirty my boy. I bought the 2023 SEL Premium for less than 43k and that is including the extended warranty. If anything comes up in my dashboard I just take it right back to the dealership and they can deal with it while I drive around in a courtesy vehicle. Last time they gave me an A5 hahaha. You just sound like you got a bad deal. Sorry broski but I am not staying away from them because they have been awesome cars for me. Just my 2 cents

      @@Jenny_ThaliaAgreed 1000% Besides the issue with the Travel Assist is caused my the steering wheel touch sensor module inside the wheel assembly (Center mounting hub area) for which a new revised sensor part number has been issued but VW instead of replacing the module has opted to replace the steering wheel with a revised touch sensing area too.

      Well you overpaid. 2021s have the revised new interior but you are still stuck with the older 268HP engine and slow shifting Aisin 8-Speed. They took you to the cleaners because very likely you bought this car during Covid or right after it. Also Covid cars had lots of issues with electronics due to the chip shortages.

    • @Pamlicojdjdj1487

      Much bigger interior, vastly larger rear legroom (Palatial limo like), far more beautiful designed, more powerful engine, better equipped. Fully loaded Arteon Premium with discounts is at least $15K cheaper than comparably equipped and optioned A5. Another plus, very few Arteons around while A5s are a dime dozen. Arteon is a no brainer.

      @@matb3181 bruh Audi is made by VW. As a matter of fact I own the 2023 Premium and the engine itself has a VW Audi sign on it like really? I mean it’s your life/your choice. If you want to go pay an extra 20k+ for an A5 go for it. I know I love my Arteon, the thing is fully loaded and looks gorgeous. As a matter of fact, VW gave me a courtesy A5 a year ago when I had my Passat and honestly my Arteon feels like it drives better and it has more power than the A5 they gave me (probably a base model but still). Lastly, like Pamlicojdjdj1487 said, the A5s you see a dime a dozen everywhere you go, people literally go out of their way to ask me what car I drive because they have never seen one before even now in 2024 they think it’s a brand new 2024 model you do the math.
