For clarity, I put his times and the suit he used to get those times in the description. A few thoughts:
    1. I do think he needed an XL in the NV instead of a Large. The Large in the CR seems to fit well though.
    2. He is young and this is his first real taper. It is certainly possible that he just didn’t hit his taper well. Every kid is different and some require a shorter/longer taper than others.
    3. I don’t want to blame the suit because it could be a variety of factors, but so far he has swam better in the CR instead of the NV.

Coincidentally I have the 2 suits, CR, NV and I made the state meet as a freshman in the 50 and 100 🤷🏼‍♂️. in all seriousness tho the CR is nice and springy but has way more movement while the NV in my opinion could take a meet or 2 to break in so it’s not to tight, but has the ridiculous amount of compression with unlimited movement after it is broken in and will last A LONG LONG time. The 5 series is my favorite personally. I have gone 22.43 and 49.52 in the NV before states tho do it’s definitely reliable.

This is great! It’s hard to judge any tech suit off of one meet and so the more people who provide input the better we all are.
      Thank you for saying something.

@@Alexkoutris We were actually talking about your comment on the way to practice tonight. I told my son that we should try to break in the the NV at some small USA meets this summer to see if it makes a difference.

@@everettdehaven8645that’s awesome! I know since we are both freshman we are still going to keep growing and all, so it’s better to break it in so it stays fitting right at least in my opinion. I wear a size small and it does get a little bigger as you wear so it more comfy while maintaining most compression.

Hey man how do you buy it from japan? ive been eager to get one for ages but i cant find any in the major online stores

@@mistake8526 I found it on eBay. If you go to the 47 second mark in the video I posted the eBay vendor I used. If a vendor is doing large volume of Japanese good on eBay and they have a high rating, I figured it was probably going to be legitimate.

Can you please tell me the sellers name since when i search the one you showed there nothing shows up. Or maybe can u tell me a trusted seller on ebay please?

@@lensblurobs3814 It’s a little tricky. You need to type mmg0g0 (those are both zeros) in the search bar (don’t hit enter yet). After typing it, eBay will give you an option of “in eBay stores”. Select “in eBay stores” and you can find the seller. It looks like he currently has the NV in a small and medium and he has the CR in a large.

I am trying to get Mizuno NV. My height is 6'0 and weight is 179, i am 16 years old. I wear 34b practice suit. Should I get size 26 or 28 for the tech suit?

    • @everettdehaven8645

That’s a good question. We have the Japanese version. For adults, they come in sizes 2XS, XS, S, M, L, XL. I don’t know how the Japanese version compares to the American version, but my son is 6’0” and 180lb, wears a 32” practice suit, and the large is really tight. His teammates had to help him put it on the first time. I cannot give a recommendation just because I don’t know if the Japanese XL is equivalent to the American 32 or not. My general rule of thumb for tech suits is: “When in doubt. Go with the larger size”. This has only burned me one time.

If you were to buy the Japanese version, I think it would be a struggle for you to fit into the Large. I think you could do it, but I would wear it at least once before your big meet. My son’s suit has started to fit better the more he has stretched it out.
