This story had everything, a tragic hero that goes through one of the best character arcs. A dastardly villain with plans of epic portions. Love, hate, sacrifice, and a twist.
10/10, would watch again.
Yes, epic “portions”.
Yeah I loved that movie - but this video with a drone fighting a hornet nest is cool too!
And the dramatic scene where the drone fell the best story ever 🥺
I feel very conflicted RN.

I just LOL’d so loud at this, I woke someone up that was sleeping beside me. 😂

It's not about the drones. It's about sending a message.
Hornets : this is what 9-11 feels like.

"MY QUEEN A SECOND BLADE HAS HIT THE NEST"
Seeing the larvae shredded into a mist put a smile on my face. I HATE those bastards and when I see a nest.....I have to destroy it. Little tip - If a nest is on under the eve of a house, DO NOT USE A FULL-AUTO AIR SOFT!! What looks like pieces of the nest hitting the vinyl siding is actually holes in the vinyl siding. Don't ask how I know this.
Haha! Definitely good to know. I've used the far shooting hornet/wasp spray before but you have to be careful that it doesn't get carried by the wind back toward you, effectively spraying both you and them. Don't ask me how I know this. :)

Is this covered in the extended warranty?
Lol
I use a 12 gauge loaded with #5 bird shot load for those pesky high up nests. A well placed shot will vaporize a nest into oblivion.
Does stick work against hornets nest as well?
@@1mol831 yes, but you risk taking casualties (ie yourself and those around you).
@@entarr2604 ah yes, robot with a stick it is then.
What a guy shotgun against a wasp nest you are brave aren't you
@@ninelivecat how else are you supposed to knock a nest out when it's 30+ feet up in the air? What a guy, failed to use your brain. You are smart aren't you?
For those wondering, this song is called “Life in Pieces” by Howard Harper-Barnes
Thank you! I was wondering about the choice of music. It's very appropriate for this vid. I was thinking of "Ride of the Valkyries" when I clicked on it.
Wasn’t this piece used in The Young Victoria?
I asked the internet for an epic battle and it brought me here. Thank you Sir Mavic for your selfless bravery and your iron will. You have avenged my childhood where I suffered dozens of stings, mostly on my face and head/neck.
How was this music written just for this?
You need a pilots license. That was some near expert acrobatic moves there.
What! This is acrobatic? I call this acrobasic
The drawbacks to making a house out paper as opposed to brick
psst, don't tell them.
this is now the gold standard for hornet agitation videos
That drone is equivalent to the Terminator in the hornet’s world
No trees were harmed in the making of this video.
This was VERY satisfying!
Not really. It was a jerk move to destroy their homes, how would you like it if you were trying to steal food just to survive and then someone put a giant saw through your house?
I was looking for the right word. Satisfying. Thank you!
Yes, almost oddly satisfying.

That drone needs a raise :)
Now they're going to start evolving drone resistance.
How? That drone is quite powerful
They send out the drone bees.
@@DarcyKennedyGlitch-ur9jeOr they start building drones of their own lol
That had a better storyline, actors, and choreography than alot of the newest Hollywood movies ! Well done !
i think that drones are essential tools in getting rid of wasp nests, so it keeps people in a safe distance
Without the wasps there would be food shortages at supermarkets and more chemical pesticides in our food they have an unfairly bad reputation and are very important to our ecosystem the mosquito is much worse but even it serves a purpose otherwise it wouldn't be here
@@ninelivecat bruh 😎
@@ninelivecat except if they are an invasive species of wasp or hornet
@@ninelivecat bees make the food not wasp or hornet
all that does is make them more agressive, they will build a new nest in a few days. Leave them alone and they will leave you alone. Without the wasps there would be food shortages at supermarkets and more chemical pesticides in our food they have an unfairly bad reputation and are very important to our ecosystem.
Bald faced hornets are interesting very hostile but if they build their nests high up they don’t appear to be a problem I like how they eat flies spiders and mosquitoes when I had a nest in a big tree we weren’t bothered by them they also killed the rival wasps nest near by lol.
Wonder how attaching razor blades to props would affect it provided they are balanced
I think I might need to try that.
The blade tips are razor like at those RPM.....physics.
More satisfying than I care to admit.
The guy flying the drone deserves a veteran's discount
Greatest thing about a drone is
*You don't get stung*
*You get to annihilate the hornets and they not having a chance against it.*
Pretty good to destroy a hornet nest with a drone when playing DOOM music
ewe - your drone was a mess of bug guts!!! Next time you need a flame thrower attachment
Just throw a piñata party instead. Just make sure the kids all wear bee suits.
they should make metal props specifically for this purpose. This is so satisfying to watch.
2:05 9/11 of the hornets moment
Good flying skills . I would have crashed into the trees a dozen times
"hey so, there's a hornet's nest in that tree and we're fresh out of wasp spray."
"ok so?"
"lets just ram it with a drone until it dies"
That drone is braver than most person I know
This is very efficient, especially when you can get a close-up from a safe distance.
Genius! After bring stung from these guys, I find this very entertaining.
This is what it must feel like when aliens attack us
Fantastic! Can you attach a flame thrower next time?
BEST Mavic drone commercial i have seen in my entire life!
LMFAO even t bagged them at the end! This drone is truly the Master Chief 🔥
you noticed that! yess!!
A nest built up high in (15 or more feet off the ground) on a tree limb is no threat to anyone.
Try to make custom sharpened aluminum blades
Leads to great alternative ideas in handling situations with drones. One such being to load a mechanism onto the drone that could shoot pesticide directly into nest.
Dude fpv T-bagged a hornet nest lmao
I almost always hate music that is added to nature videos but this just works. Hans Zimmer has some competition.
After the nest falls... "release the robotic lawnmower"!
This is the funniest Video I've seen on RUclips in a while! Impressive flight skills good sir. I bid you farewell in your campaign 🤜🤛
Wasp: your majesty, a enemy is attacking the nest
Queen wasp: it’s ok we can just sting it and it’ll go away
Wasp: but your majesty, it’s seems to be immune to our sting
Queen wasp: WHAT!?
The hornets: Evacuate the nest immediately! There is a doom drone attacking the nest!
Yea right destroy a thriving habitat for You Tube content. Admirable.
Wenn ich hier so einige Beiträge lese. Fällt mir echt nur zu ein das ein Flugzeug oder Hubschrauber in ihre wonung fliegt während sie sich um ihre Familien kümmern ❤❤❤
You can't win that war- ever! those creatures just doing a job!
What was a hornets' nest that was hanging up to 35 feet doing to you?
That drone is cutting it like 4 saws!
Don't miss out the next episode: Hornet's Revenge! 😆
Can't imagine how you retrieved it after it fell.
Later. Much later.
Inconsequential in the grand squeeze of things but wicked in its conception
“You’re majesty!. A second drone has hit the nest!”
You know, this is how the Starship Troopers thing started.
now, all we need are lines for the hornets. such as: "Sergeant! We have detected an unknown object heading this way!" or, "SWARM IT!"
Hornet mythology will forever tell stories of the steel winged god who unleashed his wrathful fury upon the nest
I like how in the end, the drone is doing a mid air t-bag lol
This got that giant mech vs kaiju vibe
I have to ask - how long before the hornets stopped looking for you?
I flew the drone from inside the house and we didn't go out for several minutes but they were pretty agitated still. We stayed out of the yard that day :)
@@LRN2DIY The wasp nest was high up in the tree Wasps only attack intruders at close proximity to defend the nest they don't attack while forgaging for food they ignore us even the giant asian hornet people are so alarmist over nothing when it comes to wasps

Brilliant!! The only drawback was that not enough hornets were killed. You should figure out a way to attach some sort of flame throwing mechanism.
When I was a kid, my grandmother told us about how grandfather once had a hornet’s nest in a maple tree by the cow pasture and decided to get rid of the nest by squirting lighter fluid on it in the middle of the night and setting it on fire. He took out the nest, but unfortunately he set the tree on fire too!
He died nearly 24 years ago, but that story is still one of the family legends today!
I prefer drones with the flamethrower.
*It gets the job done for sure!*
Awesome! Even the music was so satisfying. 🔥
You vs. Your neighbors for epic battle part 2
Historical!
One VTOL defeats hundreds of Super Hornets and destroys their base!
Foragers: What happened to the nest?
Nice battle
Drones are becoming better and better in wars of all kinds…..even hornet wars.
“Omg a plane hit the nest!!!”
“A second is coming!!!!”
I dunno , the guy who grabbed the nest in his hands, squashed it and the proceeded to EAT the damn thing was pretty crazy too 😂
A member of the Knights of Mavic, normally an order of humble chroniclers and observers, marches into battle against a cell of yellow-jacketed brigands.
I did not at all expect propellers to be strong enough to tear nest walls.
Hornets: why won't you die?!
Drone: nanomachines, son!
I like to imagine honey bees flying that thing all smiling inside the cockpit.
Honeydoom
The classical music makes this so dramatic lol
Thank you for your service Mr. Drone! *Salutes*
someone should develop drones for specifically destroying nests
One way of wrecking a perfectly usable drone.
Boss takedown! Although I expected a bigger swarm.
This feels like watching the final battle from avatar 1
I've been stung by a bald faced hornet. That was 53 years ago, and I remember it as the most painful insect sting ever.
Waiting for the long awaited sequel, as wasps/hornets evolve to grow armor piercing javelins.
Don't give evolution any ideas
Boy that drone is really durable
At night, kerosene in a garden sprayer pumped to the max, spray, ignite, respray as necessary?
Imagine that. An actual good use for a drone. Instead of spying on the neighborhood you can take out hornet nests.
that makes them more agressive
THIS is what the internet was make for. My best props to you sir and may we always remember the hornets who dies for their homeland.
Well composed video and music. As one who has fought this battle with more primitive tools, I find this very rewarding.
I actually enjoyed this with the music selection😄👍
Huge respect to our hero, the drone. 07.
Hornets will be making next hive out of bricks 😂
It seems the drone always recovered from the falls mid-flight because it was impossible to retrieve it personally (given the circumstances). Impressive!
Now you've got hundreds of pissed off wasps about the size of your thumb looking for something or someone to attack.
When I was a kid, we would use a rocks for this kind of job. Doing it with a drone certainly is a lot safer.
Great video! Deserves millions of views!
