    New sub and fan! Thank you for trusting Guardian Bee Apparel... those bald faced little fellas have some long stingers. Being properly sized like you are and allowing the material to be relaxed is a big benefit to the level of protection. If it was tight (like a bent elbow) they might getcha ha. Thanks for sharing

      Thank you kindly sir! The guardian bee suit is awesome! I have more confidence than ever in it now. Thank you for watching, commenting, and subbing! God bless you!

      Lol. After gaining confidence they weren't stinging through the guardian suit, I just had to kick the nest. I thought the colony would be bigger from the size of the nest. Thank you kindly Randy for watching and commenting!!

      Thank you so much for watching and commenting!! If the hornets can't sting through it, the honeybees surely can't. Really happy with the Guardian suit. Thank you again. God bless!!

      I can't argue that! It was very kind to highlight Guardian Bee Apparel. We are definitely designed for honey bees but I've seen a few bald face removals in our suits and man those stingers are long lol.

      From the size of the nest, I expected there to be more hornets inside. They all stayed back at the nest site when I carried it away to tear into it. Thanks for watching and commenting Brad!

      Lol. Agreed, the shotgun would be easier but I wanted to see how the Guardian would hold up to the mighty bald-faced hornet. It did well. Thank you Mike for watching and commenting!

      Lol. Once I realized they weren't gonna be able to sting through, just couldnt help but kick it. I'll never forget that day on the sawdust piles, nor the day I got my revenge. Lol. I appreciate you brother! Thanks so much for watching and commenting!

      I really like the suit. I have an old brushy mountain jacket that the bees find their way under the waistband pretty regular this time of year. Thank you Tim for watching and commenting!

      Bald faced hornets will attack a threat at night. I wanted to be able to see, and the daylight hours offered the best opportunity. And even though the video footage was far from spectacular, it seems it would have been worse at night. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    Might want to try using a mix of water and dawn dish soap sprayed from a distance before just kicking the snot out of the hornets nest. :-)

    You should watch the video where Shawn woods pulls a nest apart with his hands while it's still on the tree. Anytime I deal with stuff like hornets or yellow jackets, I always carry a lit smoker. I smoke the entrance like crazy, they apply whatever I'm using to destroy them. Loads of people smoke their honey bees, but don't take the same thoughts to other flying colony insects like wasps and hornets. The European hornets love to nest on the porch and grab honey bees all day. The smoke made some paper wasps disperse from their nest in a split. Tore that down and did it every time they made a new one. Just be cautious if your using highly flammable stuff like gasoline. It does put off vapors that a smoker can ignite.

    Thanks for the video. I have to deal with Wasps and Yellow jackets from time to time on our property. Sometimes even European Hornets. So you think that suit works fairly well? I have had some nasty reactions in the past when dealing with them, and since developing health problems have compromised my immune system, I am looking for a suit with good protection at a fair price. I noticed you talking about them possibly spraying venom in your eyes. When I tell people that, yes, they will spray you, they look at me like I'm crazy 😂. Thanks for the content!

    • @TennesseeMountainBees
      @TennesseeMountainBees  Год назад +2

      Thank you kindly for watching and commenting! The suits are very good to prevent stings. I'd say the best on the market. Great for being sting resistant, not sting proof, however. If you're highly allergic to stings, be sure and always keep an epipen handy.

    Lucky for him that nobody was home. Even in that suit, I wouldn't want them swarming around me.

    • @TennesseeMountainBees
      @TennesseeMountainBees  6 месяцев назад

      There were several in the hive but not as many as I'd feared. Without the Guardian suit, I would have taken at least a dozen stings. Video didn't really do it justice. Thanks for watching and commenting!
