I purchased the LDH scissors last year, Great recommendation Karen. They are wonderful quality, very sharp and company has care guides to accompany your scissor purchase. If folks are on a strict budget, they have seconds available (same quality but may have a few scratches on them).... they work the same.
Hi Karen, I love your videos, you are very inspiring. I had a thought about the bobbinator. I recently bought a machine with a front load bobbin. The number one complaint about it was that you did not know when your bobbin would run out. After seeing it in your video, I thought if I loaded a full bobbin in the bobbinator at the same time as loading a full bobbin in my case I would know just about when the bobbin would run out. I can't wait to try to see if it works. Thanks for all of your tips and tricks you make quilting so much easier and more fun. I have only been quilting for a year, and you are a wonderful resource

Remember in one of your videos you mentioned your blue Clover "stick?" I can't remember the correct word and am too lazy to get up and go look. 🤣
Anyway! It has the rubber on one end and a point on the other and you found it's great for paper piecing. Well. It's been on MY wish list but when my friend's birthday came up (yesterday as a matter of fact) it was one of the things I just HAD to get HER! 🤣 She, another friend and I are all working on a HUGE paper pieced quilt by Chris Stiasny, "Rainbow Stars!" It will DEFINITELY come in handy! So all I need to do now is get one for ME 🤣🤣🤣

I have one and it's useful for all sewing projects, not just quilting - I'm making full sized Historical costume as well as doll sized cltohing and use it for both - extra specially useful for sewing on the go (my commute) too.

I love Wingspan - I play it every chance I get, which is not nearly often enough!
Another quilting game to check out is Calico. Coordinate colors and patterns to add cute buttons to your quilt and attract cats to sleep on it.

The Clover stiletto tool is on my list this year. We are a Wingspan family and I’m keenly anticipating playing with my loved ones over a lazy day. Last year I was gifted the Gee’s Bend quilt puzzle and had so much fun completing it without the box - it gives you a new perspective on the quilts and sparks creativity.

To deconstruct sewing issues objectively is a good way to find a solution for them, without falling into a sewing crises.

I got that iPad holder last year for Christmas and can vouch for it! My only problem is that I can’t sew and watch the iPad at the same time. I have to choose programs that don’t require much watching.

Wingspan also has a digital version that really helps you learn the rules (and isn't so spendy). It's also fun to play with not so near friends while chatting live over discord or a group call or whatever.
Do you use it? I have thought about using it to play we my son out west.
@JustGetItDoneQuilts yes! The digital version is a great compromise to not playing in person, plus if you get it through Steam then there are around 100 digital challenges to conquer!
@@JustGetitDoneQuilts It's not as immersive as other digital versions of board games; it is quite literally a digital board/tower/ etc. But it works. It's really not my favorite game, but as others complained about the rules, I'm sure it's on the steam sale right now for less than usual.
