I was 13 when this came out, so it was the first Jurassic Park movie I saw in theaters (at least the first one I truly remember). For that reason it will always be special for me. The intro, cooper’s death/plane crash, spinosaurus reveal after Eric reunites with his parents, the birdcage scene, all of these scenes will stay iconic for me!
I saw this when I was 7 yo, my mom thought it was a movie for kids and then got me covering my eyes when the Spino got Cooper and Nash 🤣🤣
I was 8 and it was the second I saw at the theater (The Lost World first). But it's the one I was old enough to see and understand.
I was 11 and I never understood the negativity around this movie. It was way more epic than Lost World and I would put the as 2nd best Jurassic Park/World movie. How they made the Spinosaurus the villain by constantly chasing them and how terrifying the Pteranodon cage sequence was amazing.
I was still in my dad ball sack when this movie came out

I know this movie isn't the best of the franchise but jesus these specific raptors are so awesome! My absolute favorite design! I really hope they make a comeback in the future movie!
I definitely think it shouldn't have gotten as much hate as it did. No it wasn't the best but it's still a pretty solid film.
@@gemmaraine Yeah i agree! I recently rewatched all the movies and i definetly prefer it over Jurassic World Dominion and Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom!
Its a simple but fun adventure movie!
Plus it gave us some of the best dinosaur scenes in the franchise! (God that pteranodon scene is so good!)

I felt like JP3 was more consistent than the JW trilogy in terms of pace, characters and tone. The JW movies were all over the place in what they tried to tell and make you feel, especially part 2 and 3.
The alpha female raptor was like "IT'S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS HERE!" to Paul when tried defending Amanda.
The best Raptors in this franchise are the Jurassic Park 3 Raptors
True. But you gotta admit that Blue and her siblings were pretty cool too.
@@Geonite207 absolutely
Agree
I don’t understand why some people tend to hate this movie, the spinosaurus is freaking cool and it’s one of my favorite dinosaurs, plus the movie is so fun and entertaining to watch.
Mom
Plus how they made the Spinosaurus a villain by having it constantly chasing them everywhere was cool.
I think the only reason why people don't tend to like the film is because of the Kirby's.
I honestly think if they had made their characters a bit different, they could have actually worked well.
Even for me, I still would say JP3 would earn a 4th place spot on my JP/JW tier list.
(If you wanna see that list, here ya go.)
1. JP (1993)
2. TLW: JP (1997)
3. JW (2015)
4. JP3 (2001)

"It's an older code, sir, but it checks out..." (quote)
2:13 That one is literally like "dafuq?"
it was actually a vital thing Alan done, outcome could have been different if he did not cos raptors was confused but not at the noise its cos they thought he's calling for help and the Alpha raptor hearing Helicopters coming at the same time made it think They called for help and something bigger is coming, thats why they just took the eggs nd went otherwise, they would still take the eggs but also kill the humans
Have you seen the parodies where subtitles are put up suggesting Grant was saying weird things in raptor and the Raptors say "ok these people are nutcases let's get outta here".
@Apollo890 I did
The pteranodons and the raptors in this movie were probably the best of the franchise❤
First appearance for those aerial dinosaurs in the franchise, correct?
I always have loved this film, no matter the hate it gets. And honestly if you put it in perspective and compare it to the Jurassic World movies... it's fantastic.
I never understood why this movie got heaps of hate, i love it
I'd say it aged like fine wine.😄👍
Because the T. rex died.
There was a Theory, About why the matriarch Raptor is addressing Amanda, not because she thinks she stole the eggs, but because she's female and they see females as the ones in charge. Sort of like how Hyena clans are run by a matriarch.
I was thinking the same thing! XD
Correct.
And humans
@@HarrisonHollersThe good female humans. A lot are not.
Same too. She thought she was the leader
Goodbye JURASSIC PARK thank you for being apart of my childhood
When Alan wears his hat, Wow man. I felt it in my heart. Like The Goat of this Saga saying goodbye. And this Masterpiece of a trilogy came to an end. Best

0:36 I like this part! Especially the music!!
Jurassic World raptors never captured this level of intensity in their Raptor scenes. As much as I love T-Rex, the Third movie made Raptors feel like something you should be worried more about. This scene trutly showed their level of intelligence, it's like they knew where they would go and were already waiting for them. When I first watched this, all I thought was who's gonna die.
This has always been my most favourite movie of the franchise.
Dinosaurs are better parents than humans.
Only some human parents. I'd say the two shown here are pretty great; despite being divorced they are willing to work together on an illegal and extremely dangerous rescue mission to find their son. They didn't even know if he was even alive, but they were still going to search for him regardless.
2:09
Alan: I love when machines make salted caramel lattes
All Raptors: What?
Alan in raptor language: Yo Bro got som Gyatt on Ohio why so Skibbidi Rizz?
Raptors: Dear colleagues, we would do well to withdraw, such terrible vocabulary behavior displayed by this individual could be contagious.
The JP3 alpha female is definitely the creepiest raptor of the franchise, and the cgi of her approaching the group is wicked! This scene was so intense when this movie came out because we'd never seen the raptors behave this way, so it was very unpredictable what would happen.
Funfact : You're Seeing the Handsomest yet Coolest Velociraptor Variant Ever 🗿🦖
Alan Grant: God bless you, Ellie.
Alan!!!
Best line in cinema history
Oh now I got it. The Raptors heard the choppers and thought and so to avoid tbr conflict they just got the eggs and ran away.
Remembered that scene when Alan, Eric, Paul, & Amanda returned the 2 eggs back to the Velociraptor pack to be precise, since Billy took them, stupidly! Sizzling Oviraptor!
Billy only took the eggs to fund more dig sites for his team for the next ten years. He did not do it to get rich he just wanted to keep digging for more bone which is hard to do in a world where these animals already exist.
Now I want to see a retro action figure of Billy 'the Sizzling Oviraptor' Brennan, complete with six pack and outlandish dino-capture accessories. Ask him how he got his name, press the button, and he says 'I took them on an impulse, I thought they'd fund our dig sites for ten more years, etc.'
Billy only stole the eggs so he can sell then for millions of dollars to fund dig site for 10 year's in 2011 that is year I'm turning 22 I'm a grown up and start to drink
I always did enjoy this film. Each one has something good to offer this great franchise.
In the JP franchise you had the feeling that dinosaurs were actually dangerous, even the first JW I think was cool.. but in the other movies we lost that ''scare/suspance/danger" situations, you always know that somehow they are going to do some superhero thing and just save the day (Flaming spear inside Giga's mouth, just to say one.)
That Giga has utterly braindead as well... 10 minutes screentime full of, well, nothing. Spino's 3 minutes were more intense.
The Indoraptor scenes were scary though and had a cool design
Lol the most unrealistic thing about this clip is that the government would NEVER send that many people to save some plebs.
Everyone talks about the velociraptors in this movie, but I find it really cool that the U.S. Military made an appearance!
Sad part is in jurassic world movies no one dies... Everybody just gets saved...
How is that? never mind
did we all see the same jurassic World movies pretty sure lots of people die in those movies
I didnt mean jurassic park movies... i am talki.g about jurassic world... and out of the main characters no one dies...
Um, the assistant, the auctioneer, numerous park workers and guests, various auction attendees, multiple people in the black market, the guy who actually ran the park....All dead by dinos. And these are just the ones I remember off the top of my head.
@@ariadnefrolich7243 it doesnt feel the same, the original movies had that sense of fear that nobody was safe, something that the newer ones fail to bring, the kids from the first one barely escaped, and was injured, in the new one, the kids were not, not even a scratch, its predictable and kinda boring when you know none of the main cast are going to die or get injured, sure they run around a bit but you know they aint gonna get caught cuz plot, guests at the park dont count, we havent formed a connection with them.
Love this movie
That was the best 👍🏻 part of the movie 🎥
The CGI here is so much better than Jurassic Worlds it’s crazy and a little sad.
Uh nope
That's because they have more animatronics for raptors than they did in Jurassic World

the CGI in jurassic world ain't as bad as people make them out to be
Jurassic world es una miierda como un templo
Back when the raptors were actually threatening, and not just cute animal side kicks, to sell marketable plushies.
The raptors are still portrayed as dangerous creatures but with a reluctant trust and admiration of Owen Grady.
@rmgilyard They feel kinda cartoony though. As opposed to being portrayed as genuinely real animals.
JW raptors are a joke. You can stop them with a hand sign and apparently everyone can do it in JW3 too. The anatomy is also less accurate look at their head shape in JP vs JW.
@@jaykay1899They felt like real animals to me. Specifically trained animals or rehabilitated wildlife. I've seen animals such as gators and lions show affection to their caretakers, but that doesn't make them any less dangerous. People like Owen really do form bonds with such animals, but they always have a clear understanding of the danger and the fact that the animal in question could easily kill them.
1:13 Raptor: Shut up, Will you?!
I know the Veloci’s aren’t that big and looking like the Utah’s, but can’t deny the color patterns they got are pretty slick

One question how did the female Velociraptor thinks that Amanda was the one who stole their eggs and Billy was the one who took them even though he's not in the scene 🤔🤔
Some animals steal young from other mothers. If they can't ever concieve on their own. The head raptor was female, so she thought amanda was stealing her babies. Because she thinks amanda can't have kids of her own.
Another thing is that these raptors are much more feral. So they are more attached to their young. Than the raptors o n other islands.
@Babylvy57, I think the female raptor smelt the female hormones of Amanda and thought she would have stolen the eggs.
The raptors know they have the eggs they just dont know who has them the lead raptor who is the female of the group was just asserting her dominance over amanda thinking that she is the leader of her group being the female to then order her group to hand over the eggs to the raptors.
He is at the end all bandaged up once they're rescued. Jai Courtney. Especially in Spartacus! Real muscles. Unlike the fake painted on abs in 300. Although I love that movie too. Check out the movie, Meet the Spartans. It's hilarious!
Coz she’s a female & the raptor can tell the difference between a male & a female
What I always found silly is that the raptors had dozens of eggs yet went on a full chase, leaving their dozens of eggs unprotected to retrieve only two.
Those 2 eggs belonged to thr alpha female... that's why the pack went about searching for the eggs.
What a class present and performances......

Even with it's flaws, the quality of the filmmaking in JP3 is far and above every JW film. This scene's mixture of practical and CG raptors was perfection and stills holds up so well today. I would argue that with the blend of CG and practical, these raptors look more alive and tangible than the fully CG raptors in JW
That female raptor is a great leader
Still my favorite raptors in the franchise.
5:28 Alan Grant dons his hat.
Favorite raptors by far
Very nice
When I was 4 years old, my elder sister and I were taken to the cinema with my parents to watch this part. I remembered that I used to be afraid very much when I heard the roar of dinosaurs, it was very loud with a young kid. That night I dreamed that I was chased by dinosaurs 😂😂. Now, I am the fan of both Jurassic Park and Jurassic World trilogies, my sister also likes them.
La parte de los velociraptores.
It’s a miracle
Love this movie despite all the hate. It's better than 2, for me, in some aspects. Like, it's concise, has a good rythm, isn't a masterpiece like the first one, but is completely honest. And I love the music in 2:50. Does anyone know it's name?
I like this one
I love how one raptor was in a mood of attack but another raptor told not to attack them.
"was in a mood of attack"
Friend, do you even know this franchise? EVERY SINGLE carnivore attacks and ends lives for no reason.

These new Jurassic Park movies are ridiculous!!!! I miss these ones!!!! I grew up in the 90's. Where the Internet was just being invented. When you had to be off the phone if you wanted to use it (the Internet) I miss those days.
As a 90s kid who wanted desperately to know why raptor couldn't be trained to some degree, despite being incredibly clever, I greatly appreciated the raptor squad of Jurassic World.
I doubt the Raptors would let them live in Real Life. But it’s only a film.
Old memories movies❤❤❤

Most of the viewers didn't like this movie. But it is a good movie with spinosaurus and other dinosaurs.
The raptors evolved enough to understand human speech. At least English, anyway, since the matriarch raptor got all up in Paul Kirby's face.
Essa parte é muito boa
Two American Carriers are taking them home safe and Sound And then for saving Raptors’s families for saving the Dino family children once again part of the future life
It does look scary when Velociraptors held you Hostage.
They need to add subtitles so we know what the raptors are saying.
Los mejores raptores de toda la trilogia y el mejor spinosaurio❤
Alan!
I consider this movie was a goodbye of my childhood .
Why they re so smart😂
Although I'm not much of a Jurassic fan any longer, I do give the Raptors in this scene some due credit for *NOT* behaving like vicious monsters and attacking and killing Grant and the Kirbys. If this had happened in either of the previous Jurassic movies, they all would have been brutally killed!
Did anyone else notice that the Raptors don’t have the cat eyes?
1:13 Hiss!
I have just notice this is the very first Jurassic park/word movie were raptors are not hunting or killing for food but are seekers looking for their eggs, even they killed udeski but not for eating him
Upto this film, dinosaurs were perfectly realistic!!!
After that exaggerated moves made them a bit artificial..
But still I'm a big fan of Jurassic franchise 😎
My childhood time when i was watching i was living. Now iam living by dying due to ocd panic dissorder 😭
It is interesting that the Raptors dont just kill them. It would be so easy for them to just tear the group apart but they are smart enough to know that they could damage the eggs in the fight or that they may be unable to retrieve the eggs. Normal animals DO NOT think this way.
Some parts lack of consistence, but the story is great.
Imagine if the Pterodactylus flew to the mainland and caused a huge rampage
No this movie rocks
I don't have eggs
although the first two movies depicted the raptors as merciless killing machines without a conscience which is pure entertainment, I do like that this movie showed a motive for them trying to attack the humans. I guess the merciless stalking was left to the Spinosaurus but then again it made sense why he stalked them cause it's territorial, got shot that, and got hit with a plane. But this movie cleverly showed that the raptors could still be ruthless but showed a real animalistic instinct to them for the humans interfering with their young. Billy stole their eggs so as pack hunters that care for their babies, the raptors go after whoever they think stole them. Clearly intelligent, the raptors are portrayed as more cunning and instinctive than humans in these movies except Dr. Grant which naturally makes sense cause he studied them for a living. But it depicts real life scenarios. Naturally, predatory animals want to avoid humans just as we want to avoid them. They only attack to save themselves if they feel threatened, their babies are in danger, or if they just feel scared. And on rare occasions, predatory animals attack if they are hungry with humans being the last thing they wanna eat too. JP3 did a wonderful job showing that the raptors had a motive and it was honestly entertaining. I think this movie gets a bad rep because the Spino took out the Rex so easily. If the fight was longer and had the Rex put up a great fight even with the Spino winning, it would've been well accepted since Rexy almost got killed twice in the Jurassic World trilogy. Maybe if technology was better back then as it is now it would have been different. The CGI in this movie was still great given how long ago this movie was made.
im not first right
Its so lame that they didn't keep the resonating chamber in the following movies. If they were going to try and "train" the raptors in Jurassic world, you would think they would have put a bunch of effort into figuring out how to communicate using it.
They did keep them
As a quick cameo in jwcc

The negative response to this movie killed the franchise for 14 years. I don't think they were in a hurry to incorporate anything from it when trying to restart it
they barely acknowledge Isla Sorna itself in the movies and it's only mentioned in background material.
I always wondered why the raptor thought Amanda stole the eggs 🤔
