Lord of the Rings Trilogy was one of the last immersive/magical trilogies in my opinion. Also, the musical score was even more awe inspiring than even Jurassic Park, and that is saying a lot when up against John Willams. Although Jurassic Park is still in the top five musical scores definitely.

The build-up of anticipation, the reactions, the timing, the variety of camera magnifications and angles, the crescendo of the iconic music. Why can't filmmakers these days perform such magic?

I was so lucky to see this in theatres when they re-released it. It was my first time since I was like 7 when it came it out. To hear and see and feel this movie as it was intended to be was one of the best cinematic expierences of my life. When this part came up I actually cried. When the T-Rex roared for the first time I actually covered my ears because it was so loud. I loved every second of it
You know, Jurassic Park might have totally worked if the old man didn't create the T-Rex and the velociraptor. If he had just stuck with the herbivores like the brachiosaurus and the triceratops and limit what he created for safety reasons, they probably would have made a fortune with the place. He was just way too ambitious for his own good.
Probably would have worked out at the beginning, but later the investors would like more teeth, "cooler" creatures - like what happened in Jurassic World.
@@ligregni Yeah, if humanity has anything to say about it, it definitely would have got out of hand over time. It's inevitable. Doesn't make for a good movie for me to be as logical as I am about it. There'd be no big action in the first film.

I was 11, living in India when Jurassic Park was released and our school took us to watch it a theater. The premise of going to watch a movie, school sponsored, not having to study that day, was just too much for us pre teen kids. I remember the giddy feeling to the day. And then, this scene, brings back tons of nostalgic memories of the day, a world unseen, unknown. Sitting with friends in the theater with a bottle of campa cola (yes yes, I'm old, haha) and mouth agape... And recently, I went to Kawaii, took the same helicopter ride at the Na Pa Li coast, landed at this very spot next to the waterfall... And turned a 42 year old man to a 11 year old kid all again...

Jurassic Park was the first movie I had watched in a theatre back in 1993. I was eight months old at that time. I am on my way to watch Jurassic World Dominion in the theatre now. 29 years ! But everything pales in comparison to this one scene - the Brachiosaurus, the actors , the dialogues & the background score - sheer brilliance !
I’m a grown adult and I’m not ashamed to admit that this scene still brings a tear to my eye. The CGI is absolutely perfect and I love how the camera is pointed from the audience’ POV as it makes you feel like you’re actually there on the island. Stephen Spielberg and John Williams delivered a masterpiece. Jurassic Park will always be one of the greatest movies ever made!
4:38: Sam Neill's ability to convey *that* level of astonishment while looking at nothing is some of the best on-screen facial acting I've ever had the pleasure of witnessing. Grant's wondrous shock in that moment matched Ellie's and the audiences' when we finally got to see that Brachiosaur. Not since Star Wars had I been *that* stunned by special effects. Sure, the CGI hasn't aged well in the last 30+ years, but the blend of piratical and computer-enhanced effects was so perfect that noticing the "bad" CGI is only a tiny nitpick anymore.
I didn't get a chance to see this when it was playing in the movies and even when I saw this scene on my new big 31" HDTV I still thought, "Man, I should've seen this in the theater." Spielberg's magic at its best.
From beginning to end this is one of the greatest sequences ever put together on film. The way the cast, the writing, the cinematography, the score and effects all come together, it's simply awe inspiring. A testament to the power of film making.

Perfection. The Music, Acting, Dialouges and Editing all works in perfect harmony for this scene from start to end. You could be watching it for the 100th time but still get drawn into it like it's your first time.
2:33 I remember as a kid seeing this, the helicopter descending with the waterfall in the background had EVERYONE in theater doing a big gasp, you could hear it even with John Williams crescendo. Haven't experienced anything like that in a movie since then

Can you please tell me the movie name In which movie a little girl meets trex dinosaur baby in jungle which and when she gives feed after that many babies came and she afraid of them
7:10 This was the first time I ever had to explain something to my dad, as he didn't get why Grant was so astonished by the fact the dinos lived in herds. As a kid who devoured hours of documentaries about dinosaurs, I knew that people like Robert Bakker (the real-life inspiration for Dr. Grant and the paleontological advisor on the movie) had been theorizing for years that herbivore dinosaurs, especially the largest ones, were social animals, not unlike modern-day elephants or buffalos. Grant is moved by the fact he\Bakker was right all along.
Everyone who has seen this film has similar experience, the best time of their childhood, irrespective of the place where they have seen this film, the emotion this film brings even today is unparalleled because deep down we know that back then world was a better place to live in, just simple joys of life which is impossible to experience in today's times and that makes this film immortal. Perfect music, raw emotion and countless memories.

@@akerhunter First of all, what you described is part of the opening scene from “The Lost World: Jurassic Park”. Second, the little girl is actually attacked by a group of Compsognathus, or Compys for short.
@@jediclonekag13god, I forgot about that scene. I can only imagine the tiny, razor sharp teeth that they had. Imagine getting nipped to death by a hundred of them.
It will always hold up, just like T2, when people really knew how to make movies and not a political statement on how you should think
4:16 is probably one of my favourate scenes in movie history. I get teary eyed everytime. Even after having watched this hundrets of times.
One of the last times movies were considered magical. It let us see something we never thought we could see. Wasn't filled with the big celebrities of the time. Had a magnificent score and truly ground breaking effects that still hold up and are used sparingly to give things scale.
Avatar comes close
T2 also
Lord of the Rings Trilogy was one of the last immersive/magical trilogies in my opinion. Also, the musical score was even more awe inspiring than even Jurassic Park, and that is saying a lot when up against John Willams. Although Jurassic Park is still in the top five musical scores definitely.
@@priyankatabhane I get what you're saying in terms of visuals but it certainly hasn't packed such emotional punch as JP. I mean, I must have seen this scene 50-60 times and it still brings tears to my eyes.
Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Titanic, Harry Potter 1, Godzilla, Awatar, Pirates of Caribbean were some what magical and ahead of their time.!
The most iconic music score of all time is played here as they approached the island! Nothing better than hearing it live in the theatre cranked up and rumbling the seats
The build-up of anticipation, the reactions, the timing, the variety of camera magnifications and angles, the crescendo of the iconic music. Why can't filmmakers these days perform such magic?
Hollywood is now more about clout and popularity rather than talent and merit :C
Man the camera movement in this movie is a masterclass
Because they don't give a sh*t anymore?
Nowadays it's like every cameraman has epilepsy/Parkinson's/drunk/blind/stupid/all of the above.
I was 10 or 11 when this came out. My parents took me and my sister to see it at a drive in. It's hard to impress on young people today the kind of reaction original audiences had. Never before had realistic dinosaurs been seen on film. Everybody was gobsmacked. It was incredible. Still one of my all time favorite movies. And that music!
I swear everytime I see the brachiosaurus come into frame I always tear up. The music and cinematography in this scene is beautiful
Gosh, still give me goosebumps after what? Almost 30 years? MUSIC really plays a big role in important scenes in a movie, hats off to the one and only John Williams
Nostalgia hit hard again. Everyone's reaction after seeing these creatures from ancient age moving around them is sooooo wholesome ! 🥲
I was just a kid in Vancouver Canada, when this movie first came out. I saw it and it was such a magical experience that 90's night.
@@journeytrials Same, except I lived in Burnaby , at the time. My dad picked me up from soccer practice in the summer of '93, and surprised me by taking me to see Jurassic Park. I was 14, and I still remember the experience vividly.
@@nickfoster9350 lol wow I played soccer in burnaby too. I play at point grey and Coquitlam. I did O.D.P for my clubs the crash. We lived in UBC for a while, we first lived in Surry when we moved there in 93. Then a few months moved to UBC then Richmond then seven years later we moved to the USA 🇺🇸 Maryland! That was 2000! Crazy small world!
I was in log Angeles at that time ..jeez i loved that movie
@@journeytrials Djdjskdkfkf are working on the first half of the day when back in the office with an easy 55
I saw this 11 times in the theater. It was my favorite movie that year. It still holds up. Beautiful!!!
The sheer amount of awe and brilliance of this scene is immeasurable. I was only a kid when I first saw this movie. And it was one of the handful of movies which was available at that time on CD - VCR. Man, this is whole movie sums up the word - nostalgia to me.
At end of this movie very special thanks given to George Lucas, what I've heard is that Lucas did all the post on this movie while Spielberg was making Schindler's List, also what I've heard is that Lucas genius is in editing room putting daily's together even invented edit droid. This sequence is great piece of film editing my question is,is George Lucas more responsible for this sequence then Speilberg?Whole movie kinda has a George Lucas look more then Speilberg look to it.
Right at 5:00 has got to be one of the most awe inspiring cinematic moments in history. Just the jaw dropping shock of seeing an actual dinosaur for the characters and the way Speilburg captured that emotion. This is almost a lost art.
Seatbelt scene is such a clever explainer for the entire movie!
life, uh, finds a way...
@@nonesummit Why did I hear that in Peter Griffen's voice
Jurassic Park Amazing movie 🤩 remember that Awsome funny restroom scene where the really mean old greedy lawyer guy selfishly abbonond those poor kids when Rexy got loose! He's Desperately trying to hide sitting on the toilet Sweating it 😥 hope he's hidden then SUPRISE LOL Rexy 🦖 She found him and Eaten him up 😋 anyways it's actually pretty funny and he Deserves it wouldn't you agree?
I was so lucky to see this in theatres when they re-released it. It was my first time since I was like 7 when it came it out. To hear and see and feel this movie as it was intended to be was one of the best cinematic expierences of my life. When this part came up I actually cried. When the T-Rex roared for the first time I actually covered my ears because it was so loud. I loved every second of it
I saw it back in 1993 im the theaters, i watched it on my birthday.
Same here!
You're lucky, I want watch it when I was 8 yo and then my sister ruined it by tell some highlight of the movie and decided to watch it through VHS.
The acting of the cast is absolutely spectacular
There'd be no big action in the first film.
here in Brazil watch it 5 times at the cinema, I bought the VHS. I was 19 years old, the sound of the movie was great in the movie theater,, People applauded at the end..Many watched the movie standing up..
One of the greatest moments in cinematic history.
A Timeless Classic 🦕🦖
This one was my favorite part of the Jurassic Park
It still gives me goosebumps! 😍
I absolutely love the music that plays in this scene. John Williams is an absolute genius. 1:21 Gets me every time I hear it.
I loved the theme song.
Same
Thirty years later, this scene is still awe-inspiring. I love all of the Jurassic films, but there is something very special about this scene.
The best Jurassic park movie of all time. Music, actors, and dinosaurs.
Unbelievable. It's still to this day one of the most beautiful films I've ever seen. More than any other JP/JW film, THIS ONE still 30 years after I saw it the first time on my birthday 1993 brings tears to my eyes seeing these animals. And they aren't even really there. But to imagine them being so... it's something else. Thank you Universal Pictures for giving the world these films.
I was 3 years old and it was the first movie that i watch in a theather.
This last weekend and after 2 and half years without put a foot on a cinema i went again and watch it.
I was crying out of nostalgia.
This movie is a legend that will keep sparking in the next decades and the main example of how a movie must be done to be onmiciently awesome.
can't agree more
Thank you Steven Spielberg and John Williams and the entire cast and crew.
Fr tho, imagine being a parent in the 90's and you take your children to watch this dinosaur movie that has been getting a lot of attention in the cinema. You get there expecting it to just be some monster movie like Godzilla or something, but you end up being surprised by one of the greatest pieces of media in history.
Man, I wish I could've seen this in cinemas. Absolutely love this entire franchise
I was ten when it came out, my parents were huge fans of Michael Crighton and had read the books. We saw it in one of the last drive in movie theaters in our area. We were in awe the whole time. It was an amazing experience
1:30 that music ohh god good old days …. I closed my eyes and with ear phone on literally went back in time when i watched it in theatre 🥹
We need another original ground breaking movie like this to get things interesting again.
Avatar 2 is on the way
Top gun ain’t it…lol
I think it holds up astonishingly well even now considering the number of years it's been. Steve 'Spaz' Williams is a genius for the what he enabled.
The joy this move brings me is indescribable. The music, the actors, the theme. Jurassic Park is such a wonderous and imaginative film.
This scene. This song. Absolutely outstanding. 30 years ago. Master piece forever.
I remember my brother taking me to see this classic film at the theater when I was a kid. The theater was packed. My brother passed away nine years later but he took me to see so many great movies in the 90s and early 2000s. Good times
when Hammond said "Welcome To Jurassic Park" the true adventure is already begin, till now.
Perfection.
The Music, Acting, Dialouges and Editing all works in perfect harmony for this scene from start to end.
You could be watching it for the 100th time but still get drawn into it like it's your first time.
I don't know if kids today can understand the impact of this movie.
Jurassic Park 1993 is one of the most iconic movies of our lifetime.
The music in this scene brings a HUGE goosebumps atmosphere
2:33 I remember as a kid seeing this, the helicopter descending with the waterfall in the background had EVERYONE in theater doing a big gasp, you could hear it even with John Williams crescendo. Haven't experienced anything like that in a movie since then
jam 5
6:43 this scene this music always give me chills 🤗🥶
me 2!
Dr. Hammond…..
Dr Grant……. My Dear Dr Sattler…… WELCOME TO JURASSIC PARK!!!!!! 🦖🦕🦖🦕
This movie came out 30 years ago. The CGI still looks great. WOW.
1:18, the moment he said "there it is" that sounds extremely authentic, that entry level BGM is timeless and immensely uplifting ☺
best scene and music ever
Spielberg is a genius. I love the way he does the reaction shots of Sam and Laura BEFORE we see the brontosaurus.
Brachiosaurus
Exactly, you may *think* you know what's coming. But we were all delightfully, jaw-droppingly wrong when seeing this for the first time.
Remember watch this movie with 10 years old and with this scene just crying, because I never watch dinosaurs so real, with the muscles and bones, it was soooo moving.
This sequence still gives me goosebumps. On it's first release I saw it four times on consecutive Saturdays, and was blown away each and every time. Awesome!
Can you please tell me the movie name In which movie a little girl meets trex dinosaur baby in jungle which and when she gives feed after that many babies came and she afraid of them
@@akerhunterIt's the intro of The Lost World and they're compsognathuses, not tyrannosaurs.
What's so amazing is the progression from this beautiful presentation of various Dinosaurs coexisting peacefully together in this first scene to the absolute chaos of the T. Rex bringing Jurassic Park to its knees in the last scene. Simple perfection in filmmaking!
Yes Ma'am Jurassic Park 😍 Amazing Movie remember that funny part where Rexy 🦖 She knocked over the restroom exposing the really mean old guy who selfishly left the poor kids trying Soo hard to hide 😥 save himself and Oops 🤭 Rexy She Eat Gobble him up anyway lol it was actually Really funny wouldn't you like kinda agree with me?
4:49 the bewilderment in his eyes is so natural
Still remember the first time I saw this season. Everyone in the cinema hall had same expression as Dr Grant. In awe of the dinosaurs, the music in the background reaching its crescendo and John Hammond saying welcome to Jurrasic Park. Absolute goosebumps. Its 2022 & still when I watch this movie its the same feeling.
This has always been one of my favorites. So well done that for a moment you believe anything is possible, that little kid inside comes out and just says wow.
Can you please tell me the movie name In which movie a little girl meets trex dinosaur baby in jungle which and when she gives feed after that many babies came and she afraid of them
@IMJarvis29 the only seen I can think about where a little girl feeds dinosaur would be the very beginning of jurassic Park. They weren't t Rex.
@@akerhunter you might be talking about the second Jurassic park movie.
You know John Williams used a slowed down version of a classical piece as the theme for Jurassic Park?
7:10 This was the first time I ever had to explain something to my dad, as he didn't get why Grant was so astonished by the fact the dinos lived in herds. As a kid who devoured hours of documentaries about dinosaurs, I knew that people like Robert Bakker (the real-life inspiration for Dr. Grant and the paleontological advisor on the movie) had been theorizing for years that herbivore dinosaurs, especially the largest ones, were social animals, not unlike modern-day elephants or buffalos. Grant is moved by the fact he\Bakker was right all along.
Happy 30th Anniversary Jurassic Park!!!
This brachi scene will forever be imprinted on my mind. The most magical moment.
The Brachi scene here is the most iconic of all in the Jurassic series
And T-Rex paddock scene
finally watched this in the cinema yesterday for its 30th anniversary-fulfilling a childhood dream.
6:55 I love the song of this movie
Everyone who has seen this film has similar experience, the best time of their childhood, irrespective of the place where they have seen this film, the emotion this film brings even today is unparalleled because deep down we know that back then world was a better place to live in, just simple joys of life which is impossible to experience in today's times and that makes this film immortal. Perfect music, raw emotion and countless memories.
Wow, in 5k you can only appreciate an incredible view and sharpness.
Jurassic Park is still the movie of the century :)
I should say that it was the most outstanding movie of all time!
It stayed in cinema houses for over a year and everyone talked Jurassic Park!
T-shirts, jugs, mugs, car door stickers, etc having the JP emblem were everywhere!
Total nostalgia of the greatest era of all times!!!
Welcome the living legends of the best era ever, who's seen what others may not for generations! 🙂
5:00 Ladies and gentlemen, the coolest part ever!!!
One of the best films in history!!!!

1% of this scene: acting, directing, edition, script.
99% of this scene: MASTER JOHN WILLIAMS
This movie never fails to amaze us... Whenever I watch it I feel the same thrill that I experienced 28 yrs ago... It was a miracle of CGI.. And Steven Spielberg is weaves a child's imagination through his camera..
Jurassic Park is one of those movies that will always age gracefully and will always be a cultural relevant icon.
Sometimes I forget how good the Jurassic Park theme and score are. Probably one of the best ever.
Still considered by me, to be the greatest musical scene, of all time. Of course, I'm old and this is John Williams. Kids, pay it forward.
One of the best scenes in all history. The actors, the CGI, the soundtrack, just excellent. I watched this when I was in school, 30 years ago and I still get goosebumps when the Brachi appears. Thanks for the video, made me day. Stay safe.
