What is Jurassic Park III (2001) about?
Return to the action-packed world of prehistoric dinosaurs in Jurassic Park III where man is up against dangerous predators in the ultimate battle for survival. Adventure runs wild when renowned paleontologist Dr. Alan Grant (Sam Neill) agrees to accompany a wealthy couple (William H. Macy and Téa Leoni) on an aerial tour of Isla Sorna, InGen’s former breeding ground for prehistoric creatures. After they are terrifyingly stranded, Dr. Grant soon discovers that his hosts are not what they seem and the island’s native inhabitants are smarter, faster, fiercer and more brutal than he ever imagined. Executive produced by Steven Spielberg, this visually stunning blockbuster features all-new dinosaurs and special effects that you need to see to believe.

Remember when Raptors were scary and not pets?
Yes, I know that.
They should of kept them scary not pet version's

Such an iconic bit of sound design, sounds so believable.
💯
It's the sound of a male tortoise mating lol
1:52
Try drowning out the velociraptor to hard rock. How well will that turn out?

"They set a trap, they actually set a trap."
Chilling words to describe how frighteningly intelligent JP Velociraptors are. They can open doors, problem solve, have a whole basic language and set traps. Give this species a few hundred years and they might have primitive writing.
they're basically humans lol
@@owen3721bro what 😂 not even close. They just have basic primitive abilities
@@Hi-cu2vx I was making a joke based off of OP
they're now reptilians

Alan to the others: “Get on the trees!”
He is the only one who doesn’t 😂
I think he said head for the trees, as for he didn’t climb one 🤷 he’s getting on a bit in years, bit harder for him than the others
He said "Head for the trees," not get on the trees. As he got separated - he didn't realize the others had climbed into the trees.
When Jurassic Park was about dinosaurs and not bugs, human clones, and Chris Pratt.
Here! Here! 👊
The Franchise was ALWAYS about cloning Living Beings... The Dinosaurs were only the Introduction.
Debs husband asks if you are trying to say that these films went from being somewhat believable to being totally ridiculous? Riding a motorcycle with velociraptors has got to be one of the most ridiculous scenes ever.
Yes
Much better days

No, because Giga>Spino
Nah dominion is good. I mean it's inaccurate but cmon that's like the whole franchise for you.
That’s not the point@@dinosaurpro6592 fact of the matter is, is that dominion isn’t even properly about the dinosaurs. They’re side characters in the finale to their own movie series.

The female design especially 👌🏽
@@3bladeninja21 werent they all females?
@@Chilly_1 the lighter one is female, no quail mohawk. When the raptors surround them at the end she strolls in last.
@@3bladeninja21 the female design looks alright but the male design look really good
02:51 I love this Moment so much when we see how fast they run. This looks better than the Scene with Owen on the motorcycle in Jurassic World and the running raptors
I agree and this is one of my favorite scenes in the whole movie. It's just a few seconds but I remember in the first Jurassic Park they told us how fast they run and this is some beautiful CG animation of them running. The new Jurassic World movies are horrible and the raptors look ridiculously bad in my opinion. Jurassic Park 3 had the best raptors!
@@xenomorphloverhey blue and the others are awesome!
@FabulousFeathertail they look fake and CG in most scenes. I also don't like their modern design.
Not better than JW but still good

Chieftess Raptor: Bait the others.
Poor Mister Noodle got tortured then killed by Raptors.
It's actually incredible how intelligent these animals actually are and as a qoute by Ian Malcom stated "life finds a way."
So intelligent they actually possess *a solid understanding of tissue preservation techniques.*

@ExplosiveFetus true but look at the real animals they are swift, quick thinking nonoutsmartable, #1 INTELLIGENCE. they can open doors THEY ARE ABLE TO SET UP TRAPS those animals are theme park monsters
Jurassic Park 3 in 2001: we need to give the raptors feathers in light of new fossil evidence.
Jurassic World 2015: we need to make the raptors as lizard-like as possible to pander to 90s nostalgia.
Jurassic Park: The raptors are flesh eating monsters that will kill anything they see!
Jurassic World: they're pets
@@ConnorDoesGames2
JP1 Raptors: Intelligent Monsters.
JP2 Raptors: Highly aggressive predators.
JP3 Raptors: Territorial animals with strong paternal instincts.
JW: Trained but still highly dangerous animals that ultimately chose to side with the man who raised them.
Everything Afterwards: Yeah they may as well be pets.
@@RulerOfYore exactly
@@RulerOfYore Yeah. Being able to train raptors actually seems incredibly believable given their intelligence and the fact they're social animals. I mean that's why we can train dogs after all. They're intelligent and pack animals.
3:33 that face gives me chills every time
This movie did really well with the raptors. The scene at the end where the Matriarch walks into the circle all badass was great too.
These days we have Blue diving away from explosions 😔
At 2:51 was the first and only time in the JP series that you see velociraptors run out in the open and get some sense of their running speed. But it is such a short shot, unfortunately.
I love how he takes off his bag at 3:03 then immediately gets stabbed in the back lol
So I take it if he had kept the bag he could have survived?
Despite all the issues I have with the Raptor design(s), this part of JP3 is probably one of the better moments.
Wdym he looks cool being red and they sound cool too
Proof opinions on the designs are subjective, these raptor designs are awesome imo
say what you want about this movie, but this scene has always been thrilling and scary to me.
Though this JPIII was bad? Sure...then the new ones came out...now this one is a fking Master Piece!
Not a masterpiece, its flaws remain there. Characters are silly, the story is floppy, there’s no new direction given to the franchise, it’s just another Lost World adventure, just shorter. Special effects are dope, the soundtrack too. I appreciated the presence of Alan Grant, even though he is not the same Alan of the first movie. They tried to characterize him in a different way after the events of Nublar and imho they did a good job. It still remains a disappointing entry in the franchise. This said, I recognize that, compared to the World sequels, this is better. I’d rewatch this movie than rewatch any of Trevorrow’s abominations…
@@DonatoColangelo Ain't readin' allat, glad that happened tho, or sorry

The colorful patterns make it a little more realistic
0:03 I'll always remember those words
The difference between these velociraptors and the dinosaurs in the Jurassic World movies is simple. These are purely animals, behaving as animals would in this situation. The World dinosaurs really do not act like animals: they're "genetically engineered theme park monsters, nothing more, and nothing less". It's why I'll rewatch Jurassic Park 3 over any of the World movies.
Not really. The Jurassic park dinosaurs are also genetically engineered theme park animals. That’s why they act so aggressively all the time, and continually hunt the main protagonists rather than just do something else.
@@imperialinquisition6006
But they still behave like animals. These raptors are chasing Grant and company because Billy stole their eggs.
grant specifically calls the dinosaurs in this movie theme park monsters, they have alwasy been theme park monsters, thats the point of both trilogies
These movies are the best. Actually capturing the nature of the book.
These are my favorite Velociraptor designs in the franchise.
2:17 That sound still gives me chills.
4:00 she should’ve yelled a little louder. A dinosaur on the other side of the island might not have heard her.
The Jurassic park III raptor designs are honestly the best designs. I like the diversity of the designs like some of them have quills and some of them don’t. they looked more intimidating in my opinion.
we should've gotten these raptors instead of the atrociraptors which are essentially recolors of the original JW pack
Probably unlike most other predators, the velociraptor probably go through almost everything just to and never give up to catch prey!
The best part is when that one Velociraptor broke the news to its comrades outside the facility ruins.
0:56 me jumping out of the metal detector checking station and heading to the gate
Seeing mr noodle from elmo's world being mauled by raptors always made me laugh for some demented reason

@michellecalloway5329 JP3 *already has* a pretty bad rep. 😅
It may not be "so bad it's unwatchable", but compared to its two predecessors, it's significantly inferior.

0:34 Did the Raptor hear Paul yelling out "ERIC" or the loud kick and glass shatter on the vending machine?
I'd say neither. It was probably following the scent of the eggs.

Compared to Dominion it is one of the better films
This movie had the scariest raptors
1:36
Laugh at Velociraptor who's outside a locked door and the glass is bulletproof.

Jurassic Park 3 under appreciated ❤
For my response the Jurassic park 3 is the best movie ever in Jurassic park franchise
These were my favourite versions of raptor the details colour everything perfect 😊
Although the movie was realsed in 2001 the raptors are still more intriguing than the the ones from Jurassic world and i never get tired of watching this

Velociraptors are coming after the humans because they hope to find their eggs.
Udesky's last words : Hey!!! Over Here!!!
It's sad Eric Kirby would never meet Udesky...
2:32 Stampede!!! 😱 Now that’s what I call a prehistoric rodeo😂
A dinosaur rodeo would be pretty cool.
Run! IT'S A STAMPEDE!!
@@themaestro2572, that reminds me of Dinotopia.
Quite funny to imagine them filming that bit where the actors are running through the field just stumbling about and falling over reacting to nothing cause everything was added with CGI later.
Also funny how Billy looks like he's loving it seeing them set a trap seemingly with no care given to the fact that the trap was set using one of their crew.
I truly wonder if every single dinosaur that ever lived was a vicious, carnivorous animal who spent their entire life maiming, killing, and eating prey.
2:30 Me: Stampede!
Yes lady, the scientists decapitated a raptor head and submerged it in a glass tank...
LMAO
Mr Noodle became lunch. XD!!!
I gotta say, the JP3 raptors are my favorite in the series. We really get to see their intelligence here. And a smart predator is scariest to me, planning how, when and where to catch it’s prey. 😟
I got scared as a kid.
I used to hate this movie but then Jurassic World appeared
Udesky reminds me of Eddie from JP2. Their death are so tragic 😢.
I feel sad about Udeski cause he totally could have lived, he ran right by a perfectly climbable tree.
His adrenaline was going and he probably wasn't thinking.

All Jurassic Park series are far better than Jurassic world
3:32
so cute, i love how it turned its head
I find it creepy and menacing
They Set A Trap, They Actually Set A Trap And They Want Their Eggs Back.
The raptor alpha female is so cool
I never realized it at the time but the raptor going after Billy and Amanda in the lab would make sense due to Billy stealing the eggs, I didn’t make that connection when I saw this movie as a kid.
3:29 That looks painful
I still think these raptors were awesome. I love the sounds they made and those weird colors and spikes on their heads. They remind me of Skeksis.
God I love this movie
Can we take a moment to acknowledge how the raptor literally hid in plain sight? Pretended to be one of the dead specimens and then struck when the time was right. Literal deception right there
Scary
Birds are modern day dinos then yea they had the ability to communicate it be fuckng terrifying
This scene is still one of the best
O jurassik Park 3 é o melhor de toda a franquia! Ainda mais pelo antagonista principal o spinossauro!
Caramba! *De TODA a FRANQUIA?!! Melhor q os DOIS PRIMEIROS dirigidos pelo STEVEN SPIELBERG??!!*
Então tá. Opinião é opinião. 👍🏻
3:27 Alpha: *Speaking calmly to Udesky as she plants her heel into his back* Call to them..... *Udesky tries to crawl away* I know this hurts.... *Twists and digs her claw into his back* Call to them.... Call to them now!
Oh! T-1000 reference!
The Jurassic Park three velociraptors are sick!!!!!!!!! 😎✌️💀
I hope future JP movies have this kind of dark adventure and savagery and not that pet dinosaur garbage with sentiments and rich people conspiracies
Scariest raptors in the series by far ._.
4:29 They set a trap. They actually set a trap.
Anyone else hear a car engine when the camera pans to the two raptors pursuing the herd? Always wondered if that was intentional or I’m just hearing things
Alan grant is the best
when i first saw this when i was 6 i got the biggest jumpscare lol
4:34 yes!!! They’re velociraptors!!
He’s calling for help!
Man I remember when raptors used to be trouble but not anymore .
they still cause trouble. Blue in Dominion was a genuine threat, as they were in the erd act of JW. Fallen Kingdom was the only time they werent a threat. Infact Id argue the whol Forest sequence in JW is almost, if not, just as good as this scene! Nothing will ever beat the original Raptors or the Lost World Raptirs though! Those things were absolutely terrifying!
I still love the raptors in jp 1
Here's all the tell apart the male raptors and the female raptors
Male: has A little crest on its head has quills on the head red legs grayish blue skin color has A white stripe on the both sides of the upper section of the torso or body
Female: white skin with brown stripes
