I get told by the narcissists flying monkeys that "life's too short to be holding grudges." I'm not holding a grudge, I'm setting a boundary that these people can't seem to respect.

Let's stop them. We can't allow emotional mental and psychological abuse to conquer the world. anyone. We can't stop what happened to us then that's fine but I can't see someone else hurting the way I did. An innocent victim just like us? I can't see this. It just keeps growing and torturing. This whole world will be of all fcked up people. This is becoming a huge problem. I can't start an organization on my own
But I'm in the right direction, but I'm not Einstein either. So we will just leave it as "I care" but I can't do anything about it
      😮😅 bye now

I come from a family of 6 kids. I have 2 family members who are all of this. Sadly but healing, I've gone no contact from them forever. This is the only way I can heal because I've excepted they will never change. So I change myself & enjoy being myself without hindrance from them. No contact is the only thing that works, out of all the strategies I've tried. Everybody is different tho, and what works for each individual could be different. Do what works for U, Is the advice I would give. Thank U for listening ❤😢😅

Back in 2009, I was 21 years old and my very first boyfriend was a complete narcissistic sociopath and a total pathological liar & master manipulator, I swear. He started physically, sexually, and mentally abusing me around 3 weeks into the relationshit. It didn't end until I finally sent his ass to jail for domestic battery after he literally tried to kill me one night in summer 2010. After that I vowed to actually truly love myself enough to NEVER EVER let that happen to me again. Narcissists have an uncanny ability to sniff out partners who already struggle with feelings of very low self worth; I decided to no longer make myself a target.

Book by Lundy Bancroft "Why Does He Do That?" explains what is going on and what you need to know to keep yourself safe from these people. As Dr C says, "Know what you're dealing with and make your adjustments accordingly."
Educate yourself and learn the skills you need to recognise warning signs before it becomes dangerous. Go slow in a new relationship and test the person by not agreeing with something and see if they react reasonably, kindly, or angrily. If anger at a different opinion or choice, get away fast.

Married this kind of man. Got stuck in it for 20 years, and I lost my sense of self, my voice, and I got smaller and smaller to the point where my anxiety was so high I couldn't even sit next to him anymore. He started to do the same to our kids, making their voice smaller and manipulating, lying and gaslighting them to the point where they were confused and constantly anxious. I had enough and am trying to get out. It's the most nightmarish, horrible process to get away from him, going on two years. Don't put up with them. Just run. Quietly. Run far far away.

Struggled by myself through two deaths and multiple hardships, he took advantage of my finances. Total need for admiration, he is hooked on social media for attention. I've been in a relationship with a narcissist for 10 years now. My life has been chaotic, mostly with brief periods of normalcy. Normalcy never stays around very long. I have been lied to, abandoned, created on many times, beat on, and every kind of abuse a human can take. I have lupus, and I can not currently support myself. My disability won't pay because he makes too much. I'm to my wits end. I can't stand to be around him for very long. He makes me feel physically ill. I have lost all of my family due to me staying with him. I know I got myself into this, but I have no idea how to get out. I was a very strong person before meeting this man. I work with a narcissist. Now i work in a different division (different floor) but I see her sometimes. After experiencing the cycles, where she love bombs then devalues, I am now Totally ignoring her like she doesn’t exist. It’s wonderful. I can see from my peripheral vision she is perplexed. I didn’t even know there could be people like her until I met her. Thank God there is information about people like her. And thank God I stopped being her rug to be walked on. This situation taught me a lot about myself and the healing I needed to go through. If you met and worked with her you would be astounded how her behavior ticks off all the descriptions of a narcissist. I mean it’s a marvel to behold 😮

Exactly how my ex was. I’ve been contact-free for 1 year and I celebrated that anniversary last week ❣️The Lord helped me escape that horrible situation. These people are highly mentally abusive and if you don’t act according to their wishes or challenge them and they can’t control you the physical abuse will then start. I saw my ex punch his small dog in the face right in front of me because he wouldn’t stay off the couch. The ex promised he wouldn’t do that again but I witnessed multiple abusive acts to the poor dog. The trauma bonds can be very strong with these dangerous people because it’s so emotional and mentally traumatic being with these types. Walk away!! Stay away!!! Everything is true. My ex-husband was the mixture of these two. For years it confused me and just messed with my mind because he was a pastor, would go street witnessing, he would cast out demons and prayed to heal the sick. He left me within 4 months married a missionary and started his own church.

My first husband is this. Unfortunately, so is my sister, who's 2 years older than me. They became friends, but i didn’t realize they stayed friends after my divorce. He didn’t want my boys to succeed. I fought this for decades, but together, they have retold history and twisted it so bad, well, I have had to walk away. I miss my kids and grandkids. I am growing as a person, and that's good. I pray that the truth be revealed.

I had a soon to be ex husband, who "tested positive" for: Narcissism, psychopath, AND sociopath.
All the affairs (a good number right in front of me) did NOT satisfy him. I told him in a therapy session "did it ever occur to you that had you stayed home, kept the intimacy between just us, that maybe..just maybe...you'd have had ALL the admiration you really needed?".
Let me tell you, he really (for once) THOUGHT on that!
NONE of his affairs were at all "satisfactory" to him, so he kept going and going and going..NEVER getting from ANY of guys...what he USED to have/get WITH ME. But people like them will NEVER BE SATISFIED!!
Best to those dealing with them.

Just moved out after living with a diagnosed sociopath for 9 months. I’m not easily manipulated and am very cynical but he got me. He started off so friendly but I also knew exactly what he was capable of. Then he started making rules for me like “do not come in the kitchen when I’m in there. I get paranoid and if you make me jump I might hit you by accident”. Then a few months later he got into an argument with a van man who wouldn’t move his van over, and ended up going back into the house for an axe.
Then he said I could decorate the house because he wants to make a home for the first time in his life. Well, it soon got terrifying for me when he realised his house is no longer just his. When he realised I’d completely changed the place (all with his full knowledge, consideration, input and consent), he really started to let his true self show. I had to sit at the complete opposite side of the living room, I had to tell him if I was on the phone and who to, he was manically changing the furniture round. In the end we got into an argument and he said “where’s my knife? I’m going to stb you”. I packed up and moved out
