Great video! One of the earliest races I have a vivid memory of watching.
Clint Bowyer finishing upside down…wonder what team he will end up with?
Dont forget mr upsidedown and on fire joined the team in Tony's 14 after Tony retired and had a bit of a resurgence that year.
Tony left JGR and had a bounceback year that eventually culminated in a championship.
Kevin Harvick joined after years of disappointment at RCR and won his first championship.
Mark Martin subbed for Tony while he was injured and gave his last few starts to a long time friend and competitor.
Kurt Busch and Clint Bowyer hit rock bottom only to join SHR and each finding success after hardship.
Vroom vroom vrooom vvrooom I love NASCAR
Who knew the 2007 Daytona 500 would set the foundation for one of NASCAR's Current Superteams in the form of Stewart Haas Racing
My first Daytona 500 I ever saw was 2007. What a race to start my love for NASCAR.
This race happened on February 18th 2007, this was the 6th anniversary of Dale Earnhardt’s death at the 2001 Daytona 500
In 2001 the 3 & 36 crashed on the last lap
In 2007 those same cars (now 29 & 01) finished 1-2
i wish tony stewart came back to run the Daytona 500 Again
In what car?
@@nathandennis8078 filling in for one of his drivers.
@@nathandennis8078 His own team could build him a one-off ride IF he wanted to try again. There's no rule against more than 4 team cars in one race, the rule states you can't have more than 4 FULL TIME cars on one team....
Fr. Made me so sad when him an Kurt crashed that day :/ that was his best shot
Honestly, the fact all 4 of these drivers have retired is the most amazing thing about this. Feels like yesterday
What makes this even more perfect is the fact that is my very 1st race I've ever watched!
I remember seeing the finish, started my fandom
I never new that Martin subbed for Stewart.
He did when Smoke Got Injured
@@aldouscorozaMark, Austin Dillon, and Jeff Burton all ran the 14 car at one point from 2013 to 2014.

A huge change that would have inpacted this race in particular is that Toyota wanted Harvick to be there main guy for Toyota when they came to NASCAR. This was because his contract with RCR was coming to an end after 06. Well 06 happened so Harvick staying with with RCR.
2007 and 2008 hurt so much at a Smoke fan... was his only chances beside 2004. I hate I as a fan have never got to experience what the 500 win feels like.
2011, too. He was 2nd on the green white checkered restart but couldn't get a push from, oddly enough, Mark Martin
04-08 as a Tony Stewart fan hurts. He had a chance at all of those 500's.
It was an awesome race which started an amazing team
IT HURTS IT HURTS POOR MARK
Woah nostalgia
Bravo
I was super pissed about that wreck with Stewart, he was my pick to win that race...
🙌🏾🙌🏾
I have not forgiven Kevin Harvick for this yet and I never will
I don’t think he gives a shit about being forgiven by you lol
Harvick❤❤❤❤
Have you ever?
“Some might say this race was the origin of Stewart Hass Racing.” - Literally no one, ever.
meh even as a cindric fan, the past 3 daytona 500 winners are most def not legends
This race literally did nothing to shape Stewart Haas Racing. Pointless video.
