I got to see Larson's first Nationwide win in 2014 at Auto Club Speedway (RIP). My father and I immediately picked up on just how hard he was driving. He always drives at least at 100%, and oftentimes at 110% . It's very fun to watch, so much so that even on a huge, flat racetrack like Fontana from the cheap seats, he became my new favorite driver, since Tony Stewart was clearly winding down his career.
Larson is by far the most talented nascsr driver to ever live and we see it a lot, he is talented to a fault. He’s the only guy that pushes his car and ability to 100% at all times.
I've been a Larson fan since 2013, his crash at Daytona in Xfinity. Always saw his talent after I started watching him week after week. People hate him because he's good. Who cares about his controversy, strictly speaking on his driving, it has been a while since we've seen someone drive like him. Kyle Busch in the late 2000s, early 2010s maybe. Larson cares about one thing and that's winning. In an era of sports where everyone wants to be friends and not hurt feelings, it's nice to see a young man with an old guard mentality who puts themselves before their competitors. This is what makes the legends legends. Rubs people the wrong way but I love that stuff. Also later in the video you mentioned how his aggressiveness gets him troubles because other drivers can't accommodate him and I think that's a perfect talking point for Larson. Larson has the ability to put his car in these situations and not make a mistake (sometimes he does, but not too often), as to where others have no business even trying.
He really does remind me of old Verstappen, back when the RB was 3rd quickest and he wasn't so experienced as he is now. Immensely entertaining every week, and really fun to root for even when it goes wrong because you know they'll make up for it with a great win later anyway
Larson being aggressive and overdriving his car is why I love him. The first race I ever saw him in as the 2014 Eldora truck race. He didn't win, he didn't need to. His drive to do whatever it took, regardless of outcome endeared me to him.
