In a world where everyone seems to be out to destroy people's lives no matter what, it's good to see someone screw up, actually apologize, and move on to become more successful because they genuinely improved as a person. Great video, bro.
Everyone knows Kyle Larson wouldn't have won the Brickyard without NASCAR endangering other drivers and delaying the caution for 37 seconds.. AND Buescher got screwed by NASCAR, who could render the digital finishline at wherever they want. Plus they gave him the waver for missing the 600. I've never seen the sport dick ride a driver so hard, and I remember Gordon
I remember where I was on that night. I was watching the 2020 iRacing Monza Madness (only to hear Allen Bestwick be part of that race, calling it), and I saw the chat talking about it. But I’m so glad he learned from his mistakes and was given a 2nd chance. He made his 2nd chance count!
Larson was one of my drivers to root for before 2020 rolled around, even though it looked like CGR was holding him back from gis true potential, he was still doing very solid at best. When the racial slur incident happened in the midst of the pandemic, and the apology came soon after, I lost all hope for Kyle Larson and I thought there was no chance that he'd get a second chance because of what he did. Yes, as a black person myself, I knew straight away it was unnacceptable, and sometimes it takes a lot to get back what you worked for in life. Even though everyone said he was gonna get a 2nd chance because he worked on himself and trying to become a better person, and that Tony Stewart wanted him on his team, I still didn't see it happening. I was too hung up on that one particular moment. Then, when I saw the news that Larson signed with HMS in the Fall of 2020, and saw how he changed as a human being, that's when I said to myself "Alright Alright, I'll stop the hate give him a second chance". Now, looking back on it and seeing how far Larson has come as a person, and making the best of his 2nd chance, winning 10 races in his first season with HMS, and the championship in that same season, and being in contention to win every weekend, I'm glad I've moved on and gave him a chance again. 2nd chances really do happen
I remember I told my brother post 2020 incident "Well, he said what he said not because he's racist, its becasue he's got a secret deal with hendrick to get in there but had to get out of his gnassi ride somehow." Well that aged well, but I believe it was coincidental. I think part of the reason steward pulled out of NASCAR is because he lost out on larson due to some Ford F1 executive orders. At least this incident gave us a insane redemption arc. My only story with seeing him in person invovles the bristol night race(yes the one this year,) My brother and I went to meet rowdy but we saw fans lining up hours before larson was scuedule to do a meet and greet at the HMS hauler and there were a few fans who were sticking around the hauler but not in line to meet larson. So I got in line behind them thinking they were in line for the hauler because I was trying to buy some vintage Jeff Gordon rainbow warrior hat and they told me "We don't have the money for a ticket to meet larson, we're just waiting for him to come by so we can at least see him." I think its safe to say that for most people he's shaken the incident, given his exploits in all the dirt series/indycar. I don't think he'd get as many opportunities to race as he is getting now if people just saw him as "The driver that said the N word."
Die hards like him but not general audiences lol my gf literally calls him n word guy. You should see him on every commercial and a shoe but he won’t for a while
Unfortunately, most of his haters pretty much label him as the guy who said the "n" word. To be fair, it's because they're haters, and they can't get over themselves, but still.
Great video topic and an interesting POV cause I don't know anyone else that has your perspective. When I first heard of it I had the same feeling as you and I was just thinking of how the sport was gonna get dragged through the mud again and how people were saying this just proves that NASCAR is a racist sport which was so annoying because as you pointed out we made major steps in terms of diversity to get away from that stereotype. Unlike others in Larson's situation he actually learned from his mistakes and became a better person out of it which I will always respect and have become a fan of his once again. I mean let's be honest he's so fun to watch. Keep it up with the content man, every video you're just killing it!
@JettMDK Thanks so much man, that means so much especially coming from you as always! Love that you been uploading more frequently lately. Keep doing your thing 👊
@@Eliteprecision29 You got that right, and that was my favorite anime growing up. Speed Racer and The Dukes of Hazzard were actually what got me into racing as a kid.
I started following kyle larson after watching him in a sprint car at one of my home tracks where I live. My entire family has a dirt racing background with my Dad and Uncle racing dirt street stocks for a majority of their early teen to mid 20s so when a up and coming dirt guy jumps to nascar you just have to be a fan. Been a fan of his since and will never stop.
Another thing I would point out is his huge Dirt racing success that year as well. He didn't just sit idle and waiting. He was racing and winning consistently throughout that year of downtime which I believe propelled him to an even greater fanbase and better driver.
I was a fan of him since he was in the then Nationwide…I remember exactly where I was. I couldn’t believe the story when it came out, just didn’t seem like he’d do something…but thankfully I stuck with him, he sent out a proper apology and went about it as well as he could given the situation…so happy he came back.
Anyone who said he didn't deserve a second chance are hypocrites. He apologized and became a better person. Plus he already was a generation talent, still proving it!
I didn’t have a driver after Kasey Kahne. I root for divers as it happens naturally (I can’t force myself to like someone). I didn’t agree with what Larson said, but I’ve made my own mistakes and Larson’s punishment was harsh. I don’t like cancel culture, and naturally started rooting hard for Larson upon his return. He’s been my driver ever since. It’s cool to root for the #5 again too.
In a world full of awful RUclips apologies I’m glad that Kyle Larson actually was repentant and able to come back. I remember after Kyle won in 2021 some loser on twitter named Jordan wanted Kyle Larson practically crucified and instead he was nearly bullied off the platform. Kyle Larson hate would be valid if the man hadn’t actually changed.
I don't believe Kyle Larson had any intent to disparage any race or ethnicity. He just blurted out something that only blacks are allowed to say. So he inadvertently crossed a racial line. This over reaction by the public at large was expected and required Kyle's self flagellation in order to make amends. I don't mean to say that it is acceptable for any one to say what he said but our society at this point there are still places where a double standard is OK.
💯 truth there the only people that can call each other that about 700 million times a Day I hear them in wall mart calling there Children that it's OK for them put most definitely nobody else How dare Kyle Larson
An overreaction is insane. He inadvertently blurted it? Kyle was a 28 year old man. He absolutely deserved to lose every sponsor he had and his ride as well. Just don’t say slurs?
@@BlynkWRLD First of all, was the person he said the forbidden word to offended? I am sure it was not said in a derogatory manner. It's just a common phrase that doesn't require intent to offend a third party, it not like firing a gun into a crowd of orphans. I guess a black person should be canceled if they ask for Saltine crackers!
Funny this would pop up, i was just thinking about this time of my life and how much that season inspired me. I pulled a similar ignorant move being a popular dude in the Denver punk scene and that was when i was forced to finally start growing as a person and a young man. So much time has already passed since then and a lot more will but i will NEVER forget slamming a beer at work after trying to turn wrenches and listen to the race on the radio that fateful day. I will always be a Kyle Larson fan and hope i can grow old watching Owen always thinking about that 2021 Championship race. Great video man, cheers
2020 was a wild year for me, aside from the pandemic, and watching iRacing in place of real life racing was crazy. I can't believe it was almost 5 years ago already.
I've been a Larson fan since the first race i saw him in the 42. The second they said he was from Elk Grove, the city where my mom ladt lived and where she died, i knew i had found my new favorite driver. I had been a Dale Sr then Dale Jr fan and in 2014 i saw the end was near for Jr he was just not as competitive as he was and i knew i would need to find someone to root for sooner than later. None of the other drivers ever had my interest. I'm one of those fans that if you're my guy ( or girl, i did root for Danica a little bit ), then it was all or nothing for me. I rather hope a rival crashed than root for anyone other than my favorite driver. And then i found my new favorite driver. Kyle Larson. I knew it would take time for him to get good. After all he was on a second tier team with Chip Gannasi. But i started to see his talent right away. Running top 10 more than not in a car Montoya and McMurray weren't doing anytjing special in. I knew after a few seasons that first win was just around the corner. Then he finally broke through and got that win at Michigan. Then AutoClub the following year. I was lucky to get to see that win. I sure do miss AutoClub but i live close to Sonoma Raceway and haven't missed a race since the 80s. I was there at AutoClub in 2020 i remember it well. It was nearly raining at the start and i thought there's no way they will go green it was still sprinkling. Then Denny clips us in turn one. My seats were the last row at end of the straight before turn one. Dang well maybe we'll get em in Vegas. Then the world was shut down. being an online racer for many years in the early 2000s i thought it was a kick they were doing the online I races. And then it all came crashing down. The N word. But i knew this was his chance. I can't remember how many times on his twitter for years i kept saying Larson needs to be in a Hendrick car. I was manifesting destiny lol. When Chip fired him and Nascar suspended him i knew he would be back and this was his chance to get in a top team. I got into dirt racing watching him tear it up the rest of 2020 and doing what he needed to do to learn from his mistake. I supported him through it all and have been a fan from day one. And i am so proud and glad i decided in 2013 to make Larson my new and now forever favorite driver. It has been so thrilling watching him rise to the greatest driver in NASCAR and i look forward to many more wins and hopefully many more championships.
Kyle Larson has been 1 of my favorite drivers since 2018 since Jimmie Johnson wasn’t doing very good I still rooted for him but along side other drivers those being Elliot & Larson I remember back in 2020 I was pretty disappointed with what Larson did I thought there was no way this could happen but it did I had my doubts But Larson’s mistake didn’t kill off his career It made him stronger to come back from such a impossible deficit by not only becoming a better person but also picking up where he left off and Start lighting the racing world on fire The 2021 season was unreal I couldn’t believe it when Larson won the championship I was screaming with joy I’ve been a strong supporter of Larson ever since and my love for him grew after what he came back from in 2020 To this day I’m a strong Larson supporter he’s one of my top 2 favorites along side Chase Elliot Larson is my pick to win the championship this year and so far he’s been solid for the format he’s up against Lets hope we can keep it rolling Also all you people in the comments spamming Larson is racist GROW TF UP!! PEOPLE MAKE MISTAKES AND LEARN FROM THEM NOBODY’S PERFECT I Guarantee you people made some mistakes and your life you just won’t admit it please leave Larson alone he’s learned his lesson As Always LETS GO LARSON!!
This is a very solid video My only critique is I did wish while you were covering the 2021 season you would mention that his title fight was pretty tight with Hamlin like it was no easy feat for Kyle Larson in fact surprisingly even though he lost in the end Hamlin had a better average finish with an 8.4 to Larsons 9.1 like I said great video I just wish you kind of brought up Hamlin in your 2021 section because hot damn that was a very entertaining match Denny only had two wins but they were equally matched on the other statistics Larson had more wins but Denny was way more consistent Such a entertaining underrated driver fight of all time for a championship in NASCAR Still great video man.
In a way, this was a blessing for his career. If this doesn't happen, he likely doesn't get that hendrick deal. Instead he probably goes to shr and drives for tony
Thanks for the video boss. As a person of color also, I feel the exact same way. I think the internet trolls are just tribalistic fans of other teams and don’t understand that the words they are saying are important. Calling someone a racist is horrible I have always liked Larson because he has the same humble vale that Dale Jr had, but he just wins too much now for my liking.
13:46 the only stat where he wasn’t the best was average finish, Denny Hamlin was 8.4 compared to Larson’s 9.1. I’d say Denny should’ve been champion during 2021, however, I can’t deny feeling happy for Larson
Great video as always. But...... with the Dr. Dre album he listened to (?) that very day, putting out the word 1,000 times, the punishment, for one "slip", was absurd.
As someone who idolized Tony and has been a fan of Larson since 2013, it felt very similar, around both times, you would get ridiculed by people for continuing to support them, I never gave up on either despite everything people were saying, worst times ever but, never gave up on either driver
Good video thank you for your efforts putting it together. I thought it would give more insight into the fan base or Larson after the Irace incident. It was a mistake that he made and I don’t believe he is that type of guy. But I’ve literally only know of two people who were Kyle Larson fans before 2020 most people who are Larson fans now actually didn’t like him when he was with CGRbecause he was a Hendrick hater.
Everyone makes mistakes and deserve a second chance. I know plenty about mistakes and my life looks completely different because I eventually learned from my mistakes.
Thank You Elite for sharing, racism is taught hopefully he doesn't hang around with that person anymore!!!! Larson will be honored as one of the greatest motor sports drivers.
I’ve been a Larson fan since 2013. Anyone who tries to defend what he said or try to make it seem like it was not a big deal is unacceptable and it’s sad that people who have never experienced racism like that love to tell people what’s acceptable and unacceptable to say. I’m black, and when Larson had dropped that slur I couldn’t be more disappointed. It’s offensive. It’s hurtful, and even worse when you’ve got public figures dropping it like it’s nothing. He’s had a great comeback and has probably done the most to redeem himself out of anyone, but some of the comments I see here are absolutely atrocious. As if they’re the ones that decide if a word should be offensive, as if it were an “overreaction”. Kyle was a 28 year old man in 2020. He knew the word, of its offensiveness, and the implications that would come with something like that. Larson should have never raced again. He should have never suited up to drive a car again, and he sure as hell didn’t deserve a second chance. He earned those things. I’m glad to see him succeed now after he took the right steps. It’s insane that people think getting fired from your job over saying a slur is an overreaction. Just don’t say slurs?
Hahahahahahah yo I may not know you personally, but I highly doubt you'd react the same if it was "sliced bread" Joey saying it lmaooo 😅 Love though, nice upload
I remember that night and the following days, I remember getting ridiculed and called racist continuing to support Larson after but, I couldn’t give up on the guy, I didn’t give up on Tony Stewart after the Kevin Ward incident so, I wasn’t about to give up on Larson. I was shocked and extremely disappointed in Larson at the point but I wasn’t going to give up on a guy that I had supported since 2013
@Eliteprecision29 As an African American, I was once a fan of Kyle Larson before 2020, but that has changed. I don't hate him, and I have forgiven him, but every time he does something that frustrates me on the racetrack, I can't help but think back to 2020. I just don’t believe I can ever truly support him again. I don’t root against him, but some lines simply shouldn’t be crossed, and I feel that bridge has been burned. Given that he is a minority himself-being Asian American or half Asian American-there’s really no excuse for his actions. I can’t overlook it. While I have forgiven him and don’t believe he is inherently racist, his lack of foresight and understanding as a minority in this country is truly mind-boggling. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to root for him again throughout the rest of his career. To put it another way: imagine if you discovered that a friend did something like this. In my case, that would likely end our friendship. Kyle Larson isn’t my friend, so I can’t extend him the grace of saying, “I’ve known you for years.” I believe many African American NASCAR fans feel the same way.
@@michaelkiogima9370 What? I don't think my opinion is weird at all I think it's a pretty normal thing to think after seeing your favorite athletes mess up in a serious way like I said before I don't hate the guy. And I have forgiven him I just don't root for him anymore.
@@michaelkiogima9370 I never said people should stop supporting him, and I’ve clearly stated that I don’t hate the guy. I’m not rooting against him-I wish him the best. I’m just not able to cheer for him every week like I used to. Personally, I don’t see why this should be a big deal. I watched the video, which I enjoyed, and I understand why others feel differently. That’s totally fine. But once again, I don’t understand why people are upset with me in the comments for simply sharing my opinion.
I think I was watching the incident happen live albeit indirectly. I definitely saw Monza Madness if not when it came out, like an hour after, through Landon Cassill's Twitch channel since he was hosting the event. To my knowledge it was never brought up on stream and I remember only seeing it happen a few hours after it had ended on Twitter. I was honestly shocked Chip had outright fired him after, as the suspension was warranted by all means, but it was clear with Kenseth that the 42 was just a void for the rest of the year, maybe things would have been different if Chastain took over the 42 early but we'll never know. In fact I think it might be part of what led Chip to sell his team the next year. I still think Larson would have gone to Hendrick at year's end without the incident, but with a catch. Instead of Bowman being in the 48, it would be Larson carrying that torch, as Ally was reportedly the reason Bowman went there over him. Should the incident never happen, Larson takes the 48, and Bowman either remains in the 88 to continue Jr's work, or he'd be in the 5, potentially still with Nationwide backing. Great video man, keep making stuff like this
While I wasn't a Kyle Larson "Fan", I was always happy to see him win now and then, but when 2020 happened, it was shocking, but everybody makes mistakes, there are people way worse out there *COUGH* Bubba Wallace *COUGH* *COUGH*, so to see Kyle come back in 2021 almost like an entirely new person was interesting, it turned around 100% when he won the championship that same year, it was almost like watching a rookie win a championship, very interesting.
@BlynkWRLD hmm well let's see shall we? 1. He got pissed off at Larson for getting loose and Bubba got loose hitting the wall, turned Larson and HIMSELF acting like the victim, then started a fight with him which was stupid 2. He turned Kyle Busch just because he was racing better than him in 2019. 3. He threw water on someone who was extremely tired and nearly passed out. 4. He cried about there being a noose in the garage when actually they were in all the garages, tricking the whole nascar community to feel bad for him, which turned against him, 5. He wrecked Erik Jones, causing a back injury, probably permanent, 6. He sticks the middle finger at the camera for no reason 7. He drives so bad to the point where even Michael Jordan was disappointed in him on camera. 8. Everytime someone criticizes him, he plays the racism card. Kyle Larson made a mistake, apologized for it and is a better man than he was, while all crybubba wallace does is continue to wreck people. If you think I'm wrong, you're clearly no nascar expert, the nascar community mostly agrees that Bubba Wallace is a terrible driver.
@@pacthesir I’ll address every one of these. At the roval, Bowman wrecked Bubba earlier in the race. Right hooked him into the wall, so Bubba threw water on him post race. Not cool by any means, but understandable considering he got taken out by the 88 at the time. I’ve tend to find that only uneducated people get mad about the noose. If you read a history book, you’ll understand the connotations that a noose brings to the african american community. It was only in Bubba’s garage, but was left there by mistake. The FBI investigated every single NASCAR track in the US/Canada and found that was the only garage pull stylized as a noose. Furthermore, Bubba didn’t report it, and he also didn’t see the noose in the garage. It was reported by a team member, amid heavy racial tensions during the year of 2020. With Larson saying the N word, Bubba getting the confederate flag banned at racetracks the week prior, and with other things outside of NASCAR, it was a perfectly rational reaction and it’s great that EVERYONE in the sport stepped up to protect him. Even the drivers say to not hold it against him because it was the right thing to do, yet still people like you are here attacking him for it to this day. What permanent back injury does Erik Jones have? I can make a huge list of people Larson has dumped. Wrecked Justin Haley into a concrete barrier in the clash for no reason, slammed the 9 into the wall at Auto Club. Larson’s got just as much of a track record of wrecking people. What drivers don’t flip people off?? They show it multiple times a week on every broadcast. I’ve watched larson flip people off all the time. It’s insane that you will get mad at someone flipping off the camera, but not at someone saying a racial slur? You’ve got a lot of internalized racism that you don’t realize on a day to day basis. These false equivalencies are extremely sad and I hope you work on them.
As a Black racing fan, ive been a Kyle fan since 2011. I was hella disappointed to hear what he said... ive talked to him at sprint car races he'd race at in central PA. I know he wasn't that way, and it shows it was a mistake and not a pattern of behavior. I still to this day endup in conversations with DARFs (Dumb Ass Race Fans) that think its BS he got suspended or fired.... I have enjoyed seeing this dude rise up from this massive mistake to now being boooed for winning too much!
Larson went on a 37 Outlaw RAMPAGE! His Indy endeavor... Yeah I'm betting Hendrick gets a Indy deal rolling, Larson will earn that Indy championship!!! Even then "Haters gonna hate" 😂🏴☠️🏁🏁🏁🏁
I was a Larson fan from 2011. I said that Chip was holding him back for years and got laughed at. He said what he said. People will deny it, but I'm 2 years younger than Larson and in my high school in Cali, that word was used by a lot of kids (except me, I thought it was stupid as fuck.) Just kids trying to be gangsta. He should have grown out of it, but plenty have done and said worse. I'm glad people stuck by him, especially in the dirt community. I never stopped liking Larson.
I honestly didn't know how to React when Larson dropped that word. Looking back at it, it was an Accident and Larson should not have been Suspended for the Rest of the Season after what happened
Kyle Larson is just a fantastic driver and okay sure yeah Kyle Larson should've never said that word to even begin with if he already knew what it meant and yes it did cost him his job and i was very disappointed with Kyle larson when he said it but still im glad he apologized and i still support Kyle Larson and enjoy rooting for him a lot and besides we all said things that we shouldn't say that we might've regretted no doubt about that but im glad he learned from it.😊
Kenseth was not washed up he came back into racing out of retirement into a new car he wasn’t used to and he did finish 2nd once he wasn’t washed up tho the guy was forced into retirement and then drove part time for Rouch in crap equipment and the 42 sucked also just showed how good Larson was
I had nephews who used the N word like Larson did. Their black friends called them that and they did back. I warned them not to let a black man my age hear you say that.
Idk whole thing stinks. It's known he was in talks with HMS (and SHR) while still under contract with CGR. CGR had one foot out the door at the time and the writing was on the wall for them. Now if you're Kyle Larson the dilemma is being tied up on a multi year contract with a team getting ready to exit the sport, and while on that sinking ship he gets invited to Uncle Rick's yacht. The issue now is how does he get out of that contract?... Idk maybe it's the wrestling fan in me, but this whole thing screams "it's a work!"
He was in his final year of his contract in 2020 and CGR didn't have one foot out the door. Justin Marks gave Chip an offer that he couldn't refuse one year later. You're incredibly wrong
So he risks never having another sponsor, and his public reputation getting smeared on national TV when the whole world is looking at their phones.. Just to get out of a deal a year early? Have to be smarter than this
@@socorio4100 You have to be smarter than this. Rick Hendrick sat him down and guaranteed him a long term contract with a sponsor (which also happens to be Hendrick himself too) - There is nothing to worry about sponsor wise when Rick said he'd do it all before. So long as Larson managed to get out of that contract a year early, he'd be taken care of. If Rick Hendrick sat you down and said he was gonna give you a ride and sponsor it with his other company, there is no need to worry about the fallout. It all works out too perfectly.
@@TheeGlocktopus so, you double down? 😂 Let’s say that story you just made up is true.. you didn’t address why he would purposefully ruin his reputation just to get out of his seat a year early But it’s okay. You didn’t address it for obvious reasons.. because it makes no sense There’s no conspiracy.
I've stuck with Kyle Larson ever since his Chip Ganassi Racing days. I'm so glad to see all the true potential Kyle has from being stuck in Chip Ganassi Racing equipment, no offense, at Hendrick Motorsports, and he made it count 100%.
Wish i was more interested nascar like i was when i was little now its just boring and nothing really makes me wanna watch it dale jr kinda started the uninterest with me then kevin harvick its now just boring there hasnt been i driver ive really cared enough to watch
I had a dude explain it to me like this. It's not a race issue on his behalf when he says it. He just knows it's the most likely thing to piss you off, because he's ready to fight and stop talking.
He can get sponsors... As matter a fact midway through 2021 Rick hendrick said it was a lot of sponsors that wanted to sponsor him but hendrick cars stepped up and decided to sponsor him for the foreseeable future. Not to mention he's associated with prime now which is a huge brand.
@@walletracer9882Larson had to apologize and take public shaming to get back into nascar. Honestly I don't really see a problem with him using that word to a white dude. If that person was black then I'd feel differently

I love how you used the Speed Racer theme song for Kyle Larson's intro. Lol
Lol thanks it definitely fits him 😆
@@Eliteprecision29 You got that right, and that was my favorite anime growing up. Speed Racer and The Dukes of Hazzard were actually what got me into racing as a kid.
Blasphemy
I started following kyle larson after watching him in a sprint car at one of my home tracks where I live. My entire family has a dirt racing background with my Dad and Uncle racing dirt street stocks for a majority of their early teen to mid 20s so when a up and coming dirt guy jumps to nascar you just have to be a fan. Been a fan of his since and will never stop.
As a new fan I appreciate this sort of break down, gives a lot of context. Thanks bro!
Thanks and welcome to NASCAR!
I love newgardens face like. Wtf… bro!
God that had to have been so awkward knowing bro might have just tanked his entire career
Good video. Thanks for your honesty. I think your NASCAR knowledge is legit. New sub.
As a fellow Larson fan, i loved this video. Explains just exactly how i was feeling. You got yourself a new sub!
Thanks so much!
Don't forget the him completely dominating the USAC scene and nearly going undefeated in the USAC midgets during Midget Week in Indiana.
Larson Rocks! Love to cheer him on every Sunday!
Anyone who said he didn't deserve a second chance are hypocrites. He apologized and became a better person. Plus he already was a generation talent, still proving it!
Betting on kyle in 2021 allowed me to purchase my dodge challenger im forever grateful to that 5 team
Great video and amazing delivery of all the details that most people do forget about.🤙🏻
In a world full of awful RUclips apologies I’m glad that Kyle Larson actually was repentant and able to come back.
I don't mean to say
that it is acceptable for any one to say what he said but our society at this point there are still places where a double standard is OK.
@@MichaelWilliams-vb6wryall gotta be the most racist people i’ve ever seen lmfao. jumped into becoming a larson fan because he said a slur

Honestly, it was great in the summer. Watching Larson rip up the dirt tracks was the highlight of my year.
Being a Larson fan in 2020 made me a Ross Chastain fan because he replaced him in the 42
Matt “F your championship” Kenseth raced in the 42 that year as well
I became a Ross fan after Kurt Busch retired (I wasn't watching NASCAR when he was in the 45, I only saw Kurt in the 1)
2020 was a wild year for me, aside from the pandemic, and watching iRacing in place of real life racing was crazy. I can't believe it was almost 5 years ago already.
Bro i remember when the incident happened and saw the David Land reaction thumbnail
I was in SHAMBLES😂
We eating nice now tho💪🏾
Kyle Larson has been 1 of my favorite drivers since 2018 since Jimmie Johnson wasn’t doing very good I still rooted for him but along side other drivers those being Elliot & Larson
I remember back in 2020 I was pretty disappointed with what Larson did I thought there was no way this could happen but it did
I had my doubts
But Larson’s mistake didn’t kill off his career
It made him stronger to come back from such a impossible deficit by not only becoming a better person but also picking up where he left off and Start lighting the racing world on fire
The 2021 season was unreal
I couldn’t believe it when Larson won the championship I was screaming with joy
I’ve been a strong supporter of Larson ever since and my love for him grew after what he came back from in 2020
To this day I’m a strong Larson supporter he’s one of my top 2 favorites along side Chase Elliot
Larson is my pick to win the championship this year and so far he’s been solid for the format he’s up against
Lets hope we can keep it rolling
Also all you people in the comments spamming Larson is racist
GROW TF UP!!
PEOPLE MAKE MISTAKES AND LEARN FROM THEM NOBODY’S PERFECT
I Guarantee you people made some mistakes and your life you just won’t admit it please leave Larson alone he’s learned his lesson
As Always
LETS GO LARSON!!
This is a very solid video
My only critique is I did wish while you were covering the 2021 season you would mention that his title fight was pretty tight with Hamlin like it was no easy feat for Kyle Larson in fact surprisingly even though he lost in the end Hamlin had a better average finish with an 8.4 to Larsons 9.1 like I said great video I just wish you kind of brought up Hamlin in your 2021 section because hot damn that was a very entertaining match Denny only had two wins but they were equally matched on the other statistics
Larson had more wins but Denny was way more consistent
Such a entertaining underrated driver fight of all time for a championship in NASCAR
Still great video man.
Thank you and yea when i was watching it back before I made it public i realized I should've brought that up
In a way, this was a blessing for his career.
Calling someone a racist is horrible
I have always liked Larson because he has the same humble vale that Dale Jr had, but he just wins too much now for my liking.
13:46 the only stat where he wasn’t the best was average finish, Denny Hamlin was 8.4 compared to Larson’s 9.1. I’d say Denny should’ve been champion during 2021, however, I can’t deny feeling happy for Larson
It was crazy watching him win all the dirt races when suspended tho I was a fan in 2014
"Yikes" 😭 I hadn't seen the actual clip before but my god his reaction
Great video as always. But...... with the Dr. Dre album he listened to (?) that very day, putting out the word 1,000 times, the punishment, for one "slip", was absurd.
I imagine it was a bit like being a Stewart fan in 2014 - race fans knew Tony was innocent, maybe, but that wasn't what the media was saying
As someone who idolized Tony and has been a fan of Larson since 2013, it felt very similar, around both times, you would get ridiculed by people for continuing to support them, I never gave up on either despite everything people were saying, worst times ever but, never gave up on either driver
A perfect example of not letting the gamer word ruin your career.
Wowwwwww 9th Wonder 9th's Jazz, you're the man bro 👌
Oh great, you're one of those weirdos.
@@michaelkiogima9370 What? I don't think my opinion is weird at all I think it's a pretty normal thing to think after seeing your favorite athletes mess up in a serious way like I said before I don't hate the guy. And I have forgiven him I just don't root for him anymore.

But once again, I don’t understand why people are upset with me in the comments for simply sharing my opinion.
@@TheFreewheelinNomad well to be fair you could have worded it better.
Great video man, keep making stuff like this
It kinda crazy this help his career more then it hurt it 😭
Because it wasn't that serious..
But NASCAR had to go woke and pretend like it was.
No one cared but the companies that NASCAR is indebted too.
Logano Classiest Driver.
Paul Tracy cleanest driver.
Robby Gordon top tier Cup driver.
Juan Pablo Montoya best Oval driver.

How is Bubba way worse than Larson saying a slur?? The type of mental gymnastics needed here is insane.
@BlynkWRLD hmm well let's see shall we?
1. He got pissed off at Larson for getting loose and Bubba got loose hitting the wall, turned Larson and HIMSELF acting like the victim, then started a fight with him which was stupid
2. He turned Kyle Busch just because he was racing better than him in 2019.
3. He threw water on someone who was extremely tired and nearly passed out.
4. He cried about there being a noose in the garage when actually they were in all the garages, tricking the whole nascar community to feel bad for him, which turned against him,
5. He wrecked Erik Jones, causing a back injury, probably permanent,
6. He sticks the middle finger at the camera for no reason

I was a Larson fan from 2011. I said that Chip was holding him back for years and got laughed at. He said what he said. People will deny it, but I'm 2 years younger than Larson and in my high school in Cali, that word was used by a lot of kids (except me, I thought it was stupid as fuck.) I didnt really watch nascar that year because my favorite driver was gone
Let’s say that story you just made up is true.. you didn’t address why he would purposefully ruin his reputation just to get out of his seat a year early

There’s no conspiracy.
I've stuck with Kyle Larson ever since his Chip Ganassi Racing days. I'm so glad to see all the true potential Kyle has from being stuck in Chip Ganassi Racing equipment, no offense, at Hendrick Motorsports, and he made it count 100%.

4:52 he still can’t get sponsorship it’s only a matter of time before he is cut
Championships don’t matter in that sport when you can’t get sponsors
He can get sponsors...
