I'm currently working on a lawsuit for being wrongfully terminated after being sent home for allegedly poor work performance for 45 minutes when work was slow. The manager always bullied the black people but never the Spanish people with the more lackluster performance. I was like the top skilled performer that never called out, missed any days, always available when needed but couldn't get a raise that resulted in demoralization and a unappreciated employee. There was major racial profiling, white privilege and a situation where the manager never held his son accountable for his lack of management.

Nepotism is an outgrowth of family. Government is an outgrowth of nepotism. Politics is an outgrowth of government.

I quit in January 2024. Now I’m resting to get my health back before jumping into a new job. Everyone has to make the choice that is BEST for themselves. Wishing you well whatever your decision is.

I can understand the spoils system for political cabinets, but it sickens me when they expand that broadly to the general civil service system of the rank and file, which is supposed to be 100% merit-based by design in a modern democratic republic style of government. It seems like more and more people are trying to degrade the system into nobility and monarchy, which is the very kind of thing this nation was founded on abolishing.
