- The functional products of most known genes are proteins, or, more accurately, polypeptides. Polypeptide is just another word for a chain of amino acids. Although many proteins consist of a single polypeptide, some are made up of multiple polypeptides.
Genes that specify polypeptides are called protein-coding genes. during expression of a protein-coding gene, information flows from DNA → RNA → protein. This directional flow of information is known as the central dogma of molecular biology.
Non-protein-coding genes (genes that specify functional RNAs) are still transcribed to produce an RNA, but this RNA is not translated into a polypeptide. For either type of gene, the process of going from DNA to a functional product is known as gene expression.
Transcription
• Transcription is the first step in gene expression. It involves copying a gene's DNA sequence to make an RNA molecule.
• Transcription is performed by enzymes called RNA polymerases, which link nucleotides to form an RNA strand (using a DNA strand as a template).
• Transcription has three stages: initiation, elongation, and termination.
• In eukaryotes, RNA molecules must be processed after transcription: they are spliced and have a 5' cap and poly-A tail put on their ends. Transcription initiation To begin transcribing a gene, RNA polymerase binds to the DNA of the gene at a region called the promoter.
Basically, the promoter tells the polymerase where to "sit down" on the DNA and begin transcribing. Elongation Once RNA polymerase is in position at the promoter, the next step of transcription-elongation-can begin. Transcription termination RNA polymerase will keep transcribing until it gets signals to stop. The process of ending transcription is called termination, and it happens once the polymerase transcribes a sequence of DNA known as a terminator. #ProcessOfTranscription #CentralDogmaForGeneExpression #DNATomRNA
Thank you sooo much both maza aya h lecture lany ka or yad karny ka 😊😊
اللہ پاک آپ کے علم اور عمر میں مزید برکتوں کا نزول فرمائیں آمین
Thank you so much sir, lecture is so amazing you have explained very well
Great Sir MashAllah I got the concept of transcription. Sir your way of delivering is best.
Ma Sha Allah Brother Well Explained ❤❤❤❤
Best lecture
❤ . Bht achi smjh ati sir ❤
Bahut behtereen Mashaallah sir
This transcription process is of eukaryotes or prokaryotes ?
Sir your way of delivering the lecture and preparing the structure is just outstanding. I follow your way whenever I've a presentation so that's the reason my teacher call me professor
All the best professor... Thanks
This type of transcription happens in prokaryotes Or in eukaryotes?
Yes Sir
I am totally understand
Thank you very much
Ye eukaryotic ya prokaryotic hai?
Thanks sir G .....
Your teaching method is very easy and amazing
extremely easy explanation thank you sir
We need such type of Muslims. Beautiful lecture sir.
We also need such type of Hindus who do not differentiate a person on religion base. ❤❤.
Kya har jagah religion ko la rhe h Bhai, padhne h padhiye achche se
Idhar v hindu muslim😂
Wah Bhai idhar ve drama shuru kar diya
Thank u sir Allah apko khush rake😊
Sigma factor , which helps RNA Pol to attach with template stand.
Oh it means it's a prokaryotic transaction sir say it's eukaryotic transaction
Thank you so much sir😊
Thank you so much Sir 💖
Mola salamat rakhy Ameen 🤲🤲🤲
Thnkuu ma notes ki vjah sa preshan thi thnkuuu
Is this for eukaryotes or prokaryotes???
If i write this explanation in exam for prokaryotes will i get marks?
Plz reply
Thanks sir for your amazing and great lectures . Your teaching method is excellent and your videos is very helpful ❤❤❤
You should start mdcat series ! Crash course in ine shot videos
Sir You can't tell how the RNA are formed in Elongation process.
Sir Mrna also a product of Dna like protein, r RNA, tRNA. Is it right sir ?
Jazakallah ❤

Ye jo quick review karate ho app ❤bht hi faideman hota he... seriously u r a great teacher🎉
Thanks ❤️ buddy 👍🇮🇳
Thank you so much sir
Sir I liked to add something that hydrogen bond never be double or triple there are 2 hydrogen bond in Adenine & Thymine and 3 bonds in Cytosin & Guanine.
Thankyou so much sir♥️♥️
Wallekum assalam Bhai thodi aur deepli padhi B sc level ka. 🇮🇳
Thank you sir.
Thank you so much for for explaining well i m too much poor in biology I can't understand anything in bio but the way you explaining things is just awesome thanks again for clearing my concepts sir..salute u i watched every video of yours..sir please may you make a one playlist of DNA recombinant technology series 🙏🏻
Weldone sir you are a great teacher I request you sir white board clear nazr nhj ata 😢Bht light color he

Mashallah ❤️❤️🤲
اسلام علیکم !
Sir plz give a lecture on the "DNA Repair mechanism"
Great sir. You are much better than phd Sirs. Your way to deliver knowledge is appreciatable. I must watch your video when ever I'm in educational issues.
Is it for prokaryotes???
Yes
Sir apne esme sigma factor ka jikr nhi kiya kyu?
Sigma factor ko generally transcription factor kehty h jo unno nae initiation mae batya h .if you confused then use Google.
Jai shree Ram ❤️
