That one will blow you away. How about a Holly Dunn song like "No One Takes The Train Anymore" I have yet to hear anyone react to that song despite recommendations.

Not a country music fan, but like Juice Newton. However she did little to make her version of Angel of the Morning any different than the original by Merrilee Rush. Perhaps that was a good thing not to turn it in a disco hit or something with a style totally out of the emotional context of the song, like Donna Summer did for MacArthur Park. Yawn...when you keep a song musically within the intent of the writer you do it much more honor than hijacking it because you can't write your own song, or, without listening to the cash register first.
The original by Merilee Rush had more dramatic impact, probably because in 1968 one night stands were not as morally acceptable. But I like this version too because her voice is fabulous and that finish is awesome.
