The rabbit hole thing is a reference to Lewis Carrol "Alice's Adventures In Wonderland".
I thought it was love too. But I saw someone say recently that his heart had stopped but his brain was active. The words and kiss from Trinity reminded him that "he wasn't breathing air" so basically since the mind was still alive so was his body and he had his epiphany. (An "I think therefore I am" analogy perhaps??)
One thing most people miss is when Neo is talking with the Oracle, Neo asks if he is the one and the Oracle replies with "It looks like you got the gift, but you are waiting for something", Neo asks "What" and the Oracle replies with "Your next life maybe, who knows".

Most genuine reaction vid I've seen to The Matrix.. Exactly how I felt when I first saw it in the cinema all those years ago.
The bullet-time scenes in the movie were such an incredible and wonderous special effect when the Matrix first hit the theaters. No one had ever seen anything like that before. Computers weren't powerful enough to create CGI scenes that were that realistic, so it had to be a practical effect, but how in the world do you get the camera to move waaaay faster than the action in the scene, or orbit a person that was frozen in mid air. It absolutely broke people's brains to see that.
Never saw the Wick movies, but "The Devil's Advocate" is Reeve's best acting performance imo, with legendary AL Pachino, & Charlize Theron!
I loved how they re-used that “guns….lots of guns” line in one of the John Wick films. (I forgot which one at the moment, maybe part 3?)
I watched this in the theaters when it was first released and it was amazing. Had so many of us doubting our own existence and hilarious that so many movies tried copying the movie or had other movies recreate so many scenes from this
If you watch it back, the expiry date on neo's passport is quite creepy ..
Crazy attention to detail (found by Canadian Lad)...
You literally don't have to ever watch the full movie ever again if I just watch your reactions to everything. Great job! I love this channel!
"Bill and Ted's excellent adventure" is a most excellent comedy movie, you'll understand that reference once you watch it 🤣 it's the movie that shot Keanu Reeves to stardom, and he's really young in it, I think early 20s maybe even younger.
He doesn't need to dodge bullets because he finally understands that they do not really exist.
Great reaction.
Lol, watching this back in 99 with my bestie, we were 18 - and coming out of the theater, we were karate kicking and kung-fu chopping the air around us all the way home :D
The only one who can beat the Matrix is the ultimate computer hacker. That was Neo. Once he could see the code, they were toast.
When I saw John Wick 3 for the first time, when that line came up I laughed my butt off, because it was the exact same from The Matrix, really glad you caught it.
Finally.... An authentic movie reaction! You guys were very entertaining and I felt like I was watching it again for the first time instead of the 1000th time. Thank you!
Matrix is a movie of a generation. The intro alone is known as one of the best movie openings ever made.
