My all time favorite song. So much that i only listen to it maybe less than 10 times a year. Because I want to continue to have that feeling of the first time I heard it. A real masterpiece ❤️
Listening to these guys talk about these songs is like listening to my parents talk about times that I was too young to remember. So many fascinating details
10 minutes to midnight is the worst possible time to discover this channel no sleep for me tonight 🤤🍿🤣🤣 Seriously tho how cool is this! Brings such Joy!!
These videos are great! I just subscribed to this channel. I have a QUESTION. Wasn't the original sequenced LP different from the released version? I remember hearing or reading that the original LP length was like 45 or 46 minutes and that this required the level to be turned down and that the test pressings just didn't sound hot enough. So, some of the tracks were either edited down or even remixed to get a better sounding LP. Can you please discuss this?
I still want to know what synthesizer was used for the main sequence! Obviously, it gets double an octave higher at a certain point, and I’m guessing that is the same synthesizer as well
I turned 8 on the same day that Motown 25 was filmed, and I had already seen the backslide (the moonwalk) several years earlier on Soul Train, so I was not that impressed with it either, despite being a huge MJ fan back then. I could tell he didn't stick the "en pointe" for as long as he wanted to, so I thought that performance was just ok...

10:10 What a load of crap. Maybe America was still listening to crappy AM radio in 1983 but the civilized world had FM stereo in their cars.
