    Very well explained detailed assembly. I’d like to see your Level 3 build.

    My 800cfm quad slid off a stool in my garage and fell :( ..this video is very helpful as I’m going to have to double check everything still works. Thanks

    Looks like the secondary throttle plates open full 90 degrees. Did you modify that or is it that particular carb that does it? I’d like mine to open like that! Great videos! I love QuadraJets.

    What if you were installing bushings in a single barrel Rochester TBI unit and didn't have the benefit of the "center" throttle shaft bore to
    aid in alignment of the custom drill bit. Do you think you would still get a perfectly aligned throttle shaft bore using the method you demonstrated?

    Is the primary shaft supposed to "ride in & out" when you open the throttle? I see what's making it do it, just didn't know if its supposed to or was bent

      It will have some movement but the throttle blades prevent much play.

    I have an Edelbrock 1901 quadrajet, and I have the spring that mounts on the choke cam follower and fast idle adjustment, as you pointed out at 11:11. My spring is not connected to anything and there isn't any tension on it. Do you have a picture or anything that can help me with properly connecting this spring?

    The drill bit I didn't get with my modification kit. One of the screws in the blades was coming out nice and smooth, and then all of a sudden, the screw broke off. So I now have a qaudrajunk. How do I get the screw out when the head broke off and how ymdo I go about getting that drill bit so I could install my rod. But only after I get the screw out.

      You have to grind off the back side of the screws before you try to remove them, or they will all break. They are staked at the factory. You can drill out the broken screw and retap the hole. We also offer that service.
      We sell the custom drill bit for the bushings.

    My primary shaft is bent where the throttle linkage is at. Is it possible to bend it back?

    Would the main jets need replacing after 40 years, do they wear out?

    • @QuadrajetPowerLLC
      @QuadrajetPowerLLC  4 года назад

      Yes, the main jets are brass and have brass rods moving in them during use. They do wear down and they would also need replaced with a step larger for today's fuels.

      @@QuadrajetPowerLLC The reason I asked it does smell rice at idle no matter how I adjust idle screws. So how much for new primary rods and jets and other parts that don't come in a standard rebuild kit to fix this issue or common faults for number 17056280 GMH (HOLDEN) Australia plus postage?
      Thanks Peter

    Question, I'm about to install your new brass bushings & when I removed the 1st two screws on the butterflies the head of both screws broke off. OK I can deal with that. Then I noticed there is a bigger flat head screw on the end of this primary shaft. I grab my screwdriver and it will not move. I would assume I am screwed if this bolt breaks off & its threads remain inside the end of the throttle shaft. Any tips for this rookie?? Thanks

      You have to grind down the screws in the throttle blades before you remove them. They are staked and will snap if you don't grind them down all the way to shaft. On the end, you may need to use some heat from a torch to help loosen it up. Many of those screws are very tight and just need a little persuasion to loosen up. They don't break very often.

      @@QuadrajetPowerLLC I ended up opening the throttle wide open, then used my flat head screwdriver to break it loose. As the throttle was just moving with me. Sometimes you gotta thiMk : )

    What do you do if you can see light around the secondarys? I've tried adjusting the plates but I still as light around them.

    • @QuadrajetPowerLLC
      @QuadrajetPowerLLC  3 года назад

      It is common to see some light. Make sure they are closing all the way. Many times, the actuator rod is bent and doesn't allow them to close fully.
