      Sergei Krivenkov / it’s because they were flying so slow with the flaps out. If you moved the yoke like that 100 knots faster you would be blacking out

      Boeing is a lot more work (real flying) vs the Airbus which takes most of that movement out for you.

      I remember my first flight lesson, the instructor said “you have control now but be careful because at a higher speed the control is more sensiti-“ and I grabbed it causing it to jump dramatically. At least I was only a beginner and he was able to take that into consideration!

    Low visibility and strong crosswinds. I find these approaches more interesting than approaches in good meteorological conditions. Sure its more frightening to the PAX, but man nothing beats the feeling of landing a plane at those conditions.
    I admire how graceful the captain guided his craft to the ground. Truly a mark of a real professional at work.

    WOW! I had no idea how much input was required from the pilot to land a plane. That control stick was moving around all over the place. I imagined a much more relaxed and serene environment. Good job!

    Wow 😮 I used to fly light aircraft for pleasure, but in daylight and mostly clear conditions. This guy wins my respect big time. The crosswind alone made this a difficult landing.

    For those wondering why he’s moving the yoke a lot: the flight controls are more effective at higher speeds than slower speeds. When landing, the plane is slow, so the pilots need to move the yoke more to get the same input

    Good Job !
    If l had that much free play in my truck steering wheel l would be in all sorts. Clearly Boeing have somewhat different steering boxes 🤣

      It's because he's flying very slowly. If you drive at 10 kph you also have to make big movements on the wheel.
