      @@boredandagitated you don't have to- AltStore (which works without jailbreaking and leverages developer features bakes into iOS) allows sideloading of apps, and the newest version of iOS supports JIT compilation which is huge news for emulation. One emulator, Delta, is available on AltStore and it supports NES, SNES, N64, GB, GBC, GBA, and DS. JIT support is available in the 1.3 Beta (for Patreon subs).
      Expect the iOS emulation scene to blow up soon, provided Apple doesn't intervene with AltStore.

    I think a lot of people make crazy issues about the 765G like its a bad chip, when its really like an i5 compared to the 865 being an i7. Its not some underpowered and useless chipset, and if it takes us away from the overpriced flagships, I think its great. Just a shame Americans got screwed over by the mmWave addition to the Pixel 5, it really is a $599 dollar phone being sold for $699 with that stupid addition.
    Pixel 5 shows what Android could be like with good optimisation. The actual day to day performance compared to the One Plus Nord is crazy. I love mine, I don't notice any difference in performance from my Pixel 4, and its got great battery life for a smaller device. Which no one could say about the 4.

    I just want to mention one thing: the difference between a Pixel 5 and cheaper phones with the same chipset, is actually the ability to get continuous and confirmed updates straight from Google. OS updates usually on Pixel phones actually improve the phone overtime. I have been running the Pixel lineup since the first phone, so I should know. Also, Google will probably have a sale at some point on the Pixel 5. I think it's worth the money, mostly for software reasons. Android OEMs struggle updating their phones to newer OSes. So please keep that in mind before you buy a phone, even if it's for gaming only. It'll save you a lot of struggle down the line.

    • @tentai8581
      @tentai8581 4 года назад

      Well Pixel only gives 3 years of updates so I rather just get a Xiaomi phone that get's 3 years of MIUI updates while also giving 2 Years of OS updates. I miss out on 1 Android version compared to Pixel but my interface and features will still be up to date. You really gain nothing from Pixel other than a cleaner experience. I rather save 400$ and not bother with that extra Android version that brings no major changes since the UI already has all the latest features.

    • @PhoenAstra
      @PhoenAstra 4 года назад

    The higher end 7xx series snapdragons generally have CPU performance not far off from their 8xx counterparts, its the GPU aspect of the SOC that is appreciably inferior on the 7xx series. Since emulation primary stresses the CPU I suspect emulation on a 7xx wouldn't be that far off from the 8xx contemporary.

    Not really related to this video, but I sorta wanna vent this I guess. Videos like this make me wish these companies officially sold emulators and roms so you could make use of phone's increasing specs. Because otherwise I don't see the point in buying something like a 1000 dollar phone if all it can play is stupid mobile games that don't even use the specs to it's full potential, and are filled with tons of micro-transactions and ads anyway. These companies are literally wasting perfectly good money by not officially selling this stuff, as lots of people would love to be able to play all these older games on the go, and support the companies too. It would be a win-win for the company, getting money and also being seen positively for preserving old games and old systems so future people could easily play them.

    May be the performance is comparable with the Snapdragon 845 but less performant graphics? Single-Core performance would be quite similar.
    Btw. why are you still testing that DaemonPS2 emulator? Didn't they use PCSX2 code without permission?! Shouldn't you condemning that?

    I really like my pixel 4. Was super annoyed that it doesn't offer usb-c to Hdmi though, was a mega bummer tbf. Really confused why they thought people would be happy with a non flagship style SOC in the pixel 5. Not sure why they didn't bring out a pixel 5 lite with this in and then a pixel 5 pro with an 865+ or something

    It sure is funny that still it is really HARD to play 3ds games on a smartphone, at least on the bright site, it was almost impossible due to recently, and there was litterelly NO 3ds emulator just few years ago.
    Wonder why the 3ds emulator for smartphones were not available for a long time.
    3ds consoles were first introduced 2012 or around, at that time the device price around 200$.
    Nowadays, 2020, with phones with insanely much higher specs and price ( ~ 1000$) still not available for smooth and enjoyable game play.
    Wonder why. Does it have something to do with 3ds and android phones hardware structure, or due to leagal issues, nobody or team attempted to make a 3ds emulator?

    At first I though you wrote 90hz OLD because 90hz is just not enough for a "flagship". Then thought maybe it was a new technology for OLED displays with a funky name. Then came around and realized the obvious. Its just a typo.

    Would you guys reccomend a Pixel 5 or a Pixel 3 for gaming? I don't emulate too much, just mostly native gaming like CoD Mobile or Yugioh Master Duel and Geshin Impact. I've been using a Google Pixel 2XL for the past few years and it's now past its shelf life. The right side of the screen it cracked and there are two white lines going down the right side. It's just at the edge enough to where I can see most of my HUD and whatnot when gaming but the phone now overheats after a few games and it dies faster now. For the time being I'm still gonna use it because it does what i need it to at a good frame rate but I've been waiting to upgrade. Saw some Pixel 3's for around $90-$120 and a Pixel 5 bundle for $400. Of course I wanna go cheaper but I also want a good phone for daily use but mostly gaming. I have a separate cheap samsung that I use as my music/work/personal phone but my Pixel 2XL was just for gaming and nothing else. If anyone has any good recommendations I'm all ears, if there are other alternatives I should be looking into. If I have to break the bank I will but I just wanna make sure I'm getting the right device for me, I don't know too much about phones. As a matter of fact I'm not a very techy guy at all, CPU's and GPU's scare me to death. It's why I'm a console gamer lmao, just plug that shit in and play.
