    Finally, an open, honest and thoughtful review. There's so much 'Gimmicky' stuff with new iterations of each phone (and maybe I am saying this because I am older) it's good to see something solid, no frills, dependable and for most, at such a great price.

      @@MrCommentor2 i just got my pixel 5. I upgraded from my pixel 2xl as well and yes the speakers are a bit on the 'tinny' side. Unlike the front firing speakers on 2xl, the one on pixel 5 is bottom firing. There is another under display speaker as well but most of the heavy lifting is done by one on bottom. When u watch videos without headphones u gotta make sure u are not covering that botton speaker. Other than that, it's a great phone.

    People these days are always about high specs, better camera, better processor and so much ram when all of that literally doesn’t actually matter.
    I’m liking how the pixel is now keeping it simple allowing you to have a good experience without having to go all out on the specs and be top of the line on everything. People don’t need that, what they need is a good experience and that’s what the pixel provides.

    • @yobu1914
      @yobu1914 4 года назад +1

      @@Josh-oc7ib No, they would not spend a thousand bucks if there are options cheaper than the Pixel 5 with better performance.. All I'm saying is, different region demands different aspect. Just because the pixel 5 is compelling in the west doesn't mean it is in other regions. Like I have just said, people in Asia tend to value the gaming performance as mobile gaming is popular here.

    I switched "back" from a Flip 3 to the Pixel 5. It kind of feels similarly small (super thin and lighter) with a better battery and just a smoother experience. The battery of the Flip 3 it was so annoyingly small that I had to throttle the 888 at 70%. The camera is better and no bloatware. I honestly think this is the perfect camera for me. The 6 is too big and flashy for me idk. The 5 is just doing things the way I expected

    Any thoughts on the philosophy of Google's approach to a seemingly "mid-range flagship" this year; has the vision changed, has sight of the goal been lost, or have we changed along with the industry over the last couple years?
    Like the choice in using the same sensor when a lot of other phones are within subjective spitting distance of photo quality by focusing on both hardware and software (are any other phones fire and forget for photos?).
