While glitter is never eye safe the reason palettes sold in the USA say "not to be used around the eyes" is because of the pigments used not being approved by the FDA for use around the eyes. However most countries this is not an issue because they have more up to date testing. Like with all ingredients there is a possibly of allergic reaction which is why it is recommended to patch test all cosmetic products. Many of the unapproved pigment ingredients have a higher likelihood of staining but this can normally be solved by using a good primer or base that acts as a barrier. The staining is temporary, but some people dislike it regardless so in that aspect it just comes down to preference. At the end of the day people just need to do what is most comfortable to them.
you are correct. Even the ABH palettes have some eyeshadows with this warning ( i saw this in the Jackie Aina palette ).
I saw Raw Beauty Kristi use palette that said the same thing. I think it something to do with the bigger pieces of glitter in the shadow. She was fine also
So glad you mentioned this! You're definitely right because I've researched this issue on my own when it came to some Colourpop palettes I ordered. I did read some horror story of a girl getting one piece of glitter stuck in her eye while removing her eye makeup & having to go to the doctor to have said glitter removed, but those instances are rare (and she said that the glitter didn't bother her while she applied it or wore it).
@@LarLar427 that is the danger of glitter. It won't usually irritate the skin unless the person is allergic to the mixture the glitter is in.
It's like here in NZ, palettes don't have that, and if they do, I use them anyway. I'm aware that they may stain, etc, but worth it!
Benefit's The Pore-fessional is 0.75 fl oz, while the Milani primer is 1.0 fl oz, so you do get more with the Milani primer, unless you buy the Value Size edition of the Pore-fessional, which is 1.5 fl oz, but costs $54.00. Just throwing that info out there in case it helps anybody with their shopping decision.

ZOTE soap is $1 and is the best for cleaning brushes and anything else. It has been around since the beginning of the world and there is a reason. It’s awesome. Any grocery store, Walmart too.

I will look for that. I just use whatever hand soap I have. Never have any issues and my brushes are white.
Soap? Soap is terrible for brushes. Shampoo is recommended because it has conditioning properties as well as cleaning. Still, I do get your point.
Always use products made for hair.....NEVER anything for body or hand....facial wash is ok ....
I tried Zote and my brushes were soooo dry I got scared lol
In regards to that purple palette that isn't eye safe. First off,yes it's only saying that for the 2 glitter shades not the other 2. Second,it's something they have to put for legal reasons. Also,love your eye look! 😍
I agree.. I never pay attention when pallettes say that, I use them anyway. Plus I do think you're right that it's specifically referring to the glitter shades.
Must be the glitter + other two shades because of pigment warning (might be staining or any reaction because of the presence of red pigment)

The wet n wild palette is just the glitters, I asked them on IG a while back before getting one and they said just the glitters. I’ve used the other two around my eyes without issues.
Thank you for talking about the perfume added to products. As someone with allergies to scents it is sometimes really disappointing when you can’t use a product due to the added scent. And thanks for the scripture reference in the description. It was like finding an Easter Egg in a video.

The shade on the far right of that Revlon palette is a duochrome, almost impossible to find in drugstore shadows!! Very pretty!
Wet N Wild has a duochrome in their Comfort Zone palette. It's even a dupe for MAC's pigment in "Blue Brown". ColourPop makes some really pretty duochrome shades too. Makeup Geek made some gorgeous ones too back in the day.
All my pigment eyeshadows say not for use around the eyes, but I never have a problem. I've heard the reason they say not eye safe is because they can stain your skin.....which they do sometimes, but its faint and goes away within a few washes

I'm the first? That's never happened before. I'm so excited! The hubbs in the background, lmao! I heard it and was wondering but I was right. I thought you put more red back in your hair, lol. Absolutely love every make-up look that you do. Your suggestions are always spot on for me as we have the same oily complexions and humid environments. Skin tones are different though so I just op for the best one for me.

In that Revlon eyeshadow palette I think it's called "it's a flex," or something with flex in the name. The first shade ,the light gray duo chrome ,is the prettiest all over unique one shadow color for everyday. It's my go to everyday shadow look.

I love the baked gelee formula for the revlon shadows. Even though they look shimmer they are beautiful blended out in the crease. They feel luxury to me and I love them! Sending oodles of love

I recently bought one of Maybelline's Fit Me blushes. The finish is amazing! Beautifully luminous without going overboard. I will have to stop myself from buying all of them. 😏

I made a discovery this morning while I was doing my makeup. I love the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk palette, but I've never really liked the glittery topper shade. The copper shade from the Revlon Slight Flex palette works beautifully as a topper shadow combined with the shadows in the CT palette!
I love that wet and wild nine pan pallet too. So great for summer. Thank you gorgeous!

I love that Zabrena includes swatches and clips of the products she's reviewing in this. Not all creators do that for speed reviews...
And not all creators are so classy and humble when it comes to plugging their own product. Received my second order from Inky Minky Lashes not too long ago and I am in love all over again. If you haven't tried her lashes before, I highly recommend it. The prices are incredible, her product descriptions are detailed and helpful, and the products themselves are just amazing. Plus, she hand signs every packing slip, which is such a lovely touch.
I recently saw that Wet n Wild has water based photofocus primers in the scents of cucumber, rose, and coconut like the setting sprays. Have you tried it? I love the idea of the water base being non-comedogenic. Thank you for your honest reviews 💄
I tried the rose scent Wet & Wild primer and I liked it. I have dry skin and it was smoothing and moisturizing
I haven't tried those primers, but if they're anything like the setting sprays I want to snap them up. I've used the rose and coconut setting sprays and they were so soothing on my skin.

Love these short reviews...great job Z! I've been using Shop Miss A's illuminating primer and LOVING it. OK, it's not drugstore per se, but it's cheap as heck and just as good as the Urban Decay one.

The Elf brush cleanser does work wonders, but you're right about the scent. It's *beyond* overwhelming! It's like pure perfume concentrate. It's insane. I can't use it either.

I have all of the wet n wild, new, smaller palettes and I LOVE THEM! I had held off on the bigger, ten pan palettes cuz I'd seen a couple bad reviews. But I'd also seen some bad reviews on the smaller ones too and they are amazing! So now that I seen you like them, I NEED THEM ALL! and YES PLZ a video on all of them! Plz plz plz! I love those videos too and I've been wondering about those wet n wild ten pan palettes. (I havent tried those fantasy makers palettes but i seen them and some of them look so pretty! I will say, I've read and watched that some eyeshadows, the brands HAVE TO say that "not for use on eyes" cuz of certain colors. Those colors can stain your skin. And because of the glitters. I still use eyeshadows that say that, even though I havent tried these, not telling you to! But some Huda beauty shadows, some colourpop, and other brands say that too and they are FINE. You just have to work a little harder to get them off and be careful with the glitter) .... your husband going by saying that about the shimmers CRACKED ME UP! My husband knew NOTHING about makeup before we got together, now he even let's me know about new releases, and makes comments about brands and products, it's so cute and funny..... lots of love to your and your beautiful family! Your hair looks so beautiful...perfect for summer! I tried the NYX eyeliners in teal, the same green shade you have, and gold. Works better for me as a matte eyeshadow... vibrant and stays all day. Thxs to you I'll probably revisit the Big Poppa mascara and try the cleansers.💜

I use the little brush cleaning soap thingy from Shop Miss A. Super affordable and it gets EVERYTHING out of my brushes and doesn't smell. Elf also has one.

I've come to love Milani products ever since someone recommended the Conceal & Perfect foundation. I've been tempted to try their poreless primer- I got a sample of the Benefit version from Ipsy & loved it, but its too pricy for my budget so I'm glad you found a dupe and its Milani!

Did you try the shop miss a glitter primer? I'm impressed. Did a 17 hour wear test, very minimal fall out and my shadow still looks pretty good. No glitter on the cheeks or creasing and my lids are oily. I also like the new wonder matte lippies. Pigmented, comfortable, and transfer proof. I tried the shade "extra" a gorgeous mauve pink. The silver buttercream gel liner pot is so pretty and foiled. I was surprised! They even have a cleansing balm now! Green tea and vitamin e. Took off all my makeup and no foggy eyes. You look amazing, I love the deeper red curls!

I recently got the sample beauty equalizer volume 2 eyeshadow palette and it’s really pigmented and smooth for the price! I love how it has matte and corresponding shimmer shades that mirror each other

I just clean my makeup brushes with 1 teaspoon of dishwashing liquid and 1 teaspoon of vinegar and soak in hot water for 20 min. once a week. It's pretty easy and my brushes smell pretty good when they dry.
Can you do an eyelash video comparing magnetic and glue on lashes?
