  • I apologize for the lateness of this upload! I finally managed to "build" the front axel of the lt4000. This was a very fun build and not to difficult if you know what your doing! I recommend this upgrade for any trail mower enthusiast! Make sure to drop a suggestion of what else should go into the trail mower!!!

I love the tough big truck look of these old mowers

Good work on the front end! I'm building more of a trail rider rather than a crawler per se. So with that said I decided to eliminate the front end articulation all together and weld it solid. My reasoning was for more roll stability at speed. My tractor runs about 22mph and noticed it was rather tippy going around turns on my trails. Anyway, I appreciate the ideas presented in your video sir! When I do my crawler it will definitely have extreme articulation like this! Oh and I'm in bottom right of the USA hahahah!

Pretty cool mod! I'm gonna have to try that out on a mower one day. You could always fill your rear tires with water and it'll make it as close to a posi-trac as you can get without welding the diff.

Nice job man, looks awesome! If you turn your wire feed down just a bit it'll make your weld temp go up and help flatten out those beads.

Your steering wheel is like a turbo. Turbos have boost lag and your steering wheel has turn lag.

I’m planning on using another pulley on the drive pulley and running a hydraulic pump off it and then using a t style gearbox adapter and a hydraulic motor and making a solid axle 4wd setup on the front

We’re you able to use ur stock steering arm without getting/making a new one?

Didn't have to get a new one, but I put ball joints on it to help accept the added flex.
