i made a swing arm rear axle. chain drive from stock transaxle in stock location. it is at least a foot longer . took a while to make double chain tighteners so i could have reverse . and run smaller sprockets for ground clearance .. .. i run tall narrow low air , 4 wheeler tires front. and smaller rears. nose up look. bounces well. totally rips. so fun in snow... i wish you did this build last summer. my build would have been easier.. i had to figure it out by myself . not many vid out there. .. i run a tecumseh 490. small motorcycle carb, rejetted super fat. you never seen a motor so strong. it shames all the twins.. great video .. later
just picked up an old ford like this i might copy your build an do it to mine was just thinking at work would be cool to do a 3 link set up then i found this so thanks for paving the way
This is very true Somthing I over looked at first when I was building this! In the next episode I figure it out and swap over to home joint on both ends on the parallel link bars! Just to busy building and don’t think about it!
@Okoffroadmowers How come you guys dont mount the transaxles on a long swingarm that pivots halfway to the front of the mower so the pulley aligns decent still and run brake and shift levers above the pivot point. You'll get a way better ride and better traction and way less shock to the axles and rear diff, etc ANY suspension, even just an inch or 2 is wayyy better than none for many reasons

Nice work brother. Can't wait for the shock towers.
Looking forward to seeing this build. Good ideas for sure! Can’t wait to see what you figured out for steering.
Thanks! I’m stoked to tell ya that I got the steering figured out and it’s gunna be the best setup yet!
This is already one of my favourite builds. I’m so excited to see if it works 🤟 haha
Wow man! Great video
Welding is 90% prep work, 10% skill.
I reckon your gunna need a Hiem joints on the chassis side of top arm
This is very true

Cool
Could you do the wishbone set up with a solid front axle run it by chains and then do three in the back too

Is that front axle cast iron or forged steel?
Nice job! What kinda shocks you going to use?
I have made some custom shocks! Which will be shown off in the next episode or two!
Awesome can't wait to see them
At the beginning, what kind of transmission is that and where can I find one?
Peerless 820
Cool
