This video basically conferms every idea i had about the drive and shift system for building one of these. Thankyou for posting it.

glad to help. Just remember to keep clearance between the two rear tires when fully inflated. I initially measured my spacing with the tires low, forgetting that the tires can expand over 1"

@chrismakesstuff1 good tip thanks. I'll put about 4" between then so I can have a bigger box.

This is a really intuitive and smart build! There are a few on RUclips but I like yours the best, easy to follow and simple to understand, Personally I would make the frame longer so you have about 4 to 6 inches between the rear wheel sets, only reason is I would then have a small bed on the back to carry wood, tools etc. thank you from Australia👍🏼

Thank you. I appreciate it. In hindsight I should have made the frame 1-2" longer. When the tires are fully inflated they just barely touch.

That would be cool to add rubber tracks to that. Good job.

Now all it needs is a semi truck body

That would have been cool. In part 4 of the series, we did go in a different direction though. Thanks for watching.

That thing is screaming for you to drop that mowdeck and run fast with it

Lol. Definitely a fun option, maybe in the future, but for now it can still cut grass, haul, and plow

Would it be possible to have more of a spread between the two rear sets of tires, so you can make more of a dump truck feature on it? Just wondering the logistics on that...thanks

Sure, you could space out the rear tires farther. The drive belt and linkage would just get longer. But, the longer the wheel base, the bigger the turning radius and increase in stress on the transaxle. Doable, but just something to keep in mind

@@chrismakesstuff1 Would beefing up the extended frame help in that case, or will it still have an effect on the transaxle? We are talking maybe 18 inches longer.

I can't say for sure. If you are going to give it a try, let us know what you find.
