Hello, To give a nicer feel and more matte finish we advise after the cold peel to perform an additional press with parchment or craft paper for 5 seconds (same temp). This will seal in the transfer a little better, increase hand feel and leave a matte finish. Uninet also advises to lightly pull around the edges of the transfer after peeling

Hello, I would say the quality of the heating element/press is the main thing - temperature accuracy/consistency is key to be successful with these printers. Lesser presses may have "cold spots" or inaccurate temp display which can lead to complications with marrying A+B and application.
What does it mean if my design rips while keeping the backer paper off? Does it need to be very hot to peel? Or cooled down? I’ve never been able to get a batch of designs to peel perfectly one design always rips. How do I prevent this?
Hey there! The marrying process of the A->B sheets is the main learning curve here. Let's take a look, please provide the following: -heat press used -time, temperature, pressure used -steps performed before peeling Once we get these we can work on improving our results!
@@AAPrintSupplyCo i’m not exactly sure what the name of the heat press is. But I know I’m using the time and temperature that you recommend in the video. @@TimberWood.Customs Ok, so couple things: -if you are not sure of the heat press brand you may want to check to see if the temperature is accurate by using a heat gun to measure the temperature -if the heat looks good and accurate as displayed you may want to try increasing the pressure a little bit -the actual peel should not be very hot and when you do the rub down on the garment BEFORE peeling try to cover all the printed areas before peeling

Here's a couple steps we see most people skipping -pre heat the lower platen a full minute by closing the machine at full temperature with nothing in the press -after the marrying time, before peeling, rub the entire transfer area with a fabric or cloth before peeling -in regards to the peeling, start in a corner with higher concentration of print and peel in a smooth controlled motion LOW against the papers - NOT up to the ceiling
