    Excellent video. I prepped my bike 2 nights ago using your disassembly instructions. The next day I was able to install the new slip on’s in 2 hours (again thanks to you) once the UPS guy dropped off my new system. Appointment scheduled for this Saturday to have the up map loaded at dealer. Sounds incredible!!!!

      Nice. I still have to get my upmap installed. I may wait until the 600 mile service.

    Great vid! I bought a full Akro for my 959. It's used so the titanium pipes were looking really bad. I decided to ditch the pipes and just go with the slip ons instead. Besides, I polished the factory pipes so they look amazing. I haven't gotten around to install yet. I wanted to see a video of the process. This really helped. Thank you!

    • @bikesandbeats4693
      @bikesandbeats4693  11 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah, the full system never made sense to me being that the pipe diameter is the same as stock. It does save a few pounds weight but I think it’s negligible in terms of performance gained from weight savings.

    • @gunsnsails
      @gunsnsails 11 месяцев назад +1

      @@bikesandbeats4693 precisely. And I'm not building a track bike so weight reduction is not the purpose here. I have added a few carbon fiber parts for the aesthetics. I'm hoping to sell the 959 in a few months so I can buy a V4S.

      @@bikesandbeats4693exactly, doesn't make sense. You got rid of all the crap you don't need. Stock muffler, catalytic converter and servo. You're probably right, it'd just be weight savings..

    Nice video... I'm trying to install som akrapovic cans on my 1299, and running into that problem of the flanges not mating up (touch at top but about 2degrees angle between them) my Ypipe is not separate so can't clamp first. About 5hrs in and still brainstorming.
    Tried to not put bolts in, also removed rear hanger, no luck minimizing that separation :-(
    The quest continues.

      hec feliciano The Termi adapter doesn’t mount to the 959 header. I was gonna modify the adapter to make it fit, but termi doesn’t sell the adapter separately in case I damaged it. So I didn’t mess with it.

    • @mannyfel8324
      @mannyfel8324 5 лет назад

      Oh ok gotcha.. Sounds good either way.. but i like Termi just bc everyone u see with a Duc got the Akra Exhaust.. just like to be different.. plus i like the Termi sound better.. but its all personal preference

    • @bikesandbeats4693
      @bikesandbeats4693  5 лет назад

      hec feliciano Yeah, I think a lot of people not feeling the Termi for this bike because of the front exit design. That’s why I personally didn’t like it and why I tried to get the old rear exit model to work. The old one will work if you do the full 1199 system, which comes with the header pipe needed to fit the mufflers. But I didn’t want to pay full system price or do all the work. I wasn’t paying $5k for an exhaust.

    awesome video. is the aftermarket exhaust truly worth it for the price? i mean on video from the research I've done its hard to tell a difference in sound. and what made you choose this over the cheaper arrow exhaust that has the same look?

    • @bikesandbeats4693
      @bikesandbeats4693  5 лет назад +3

      I think it’s definitely overpriced for what it is. It’s very high quality and Ducati approved to not void your warranty. But i think it should be cheaper. As for the arrow, I don’t like how it looks. I think the Akra gives a better finished look.
