Spencer’s notes during the chorus are nothing short of genius, honestly. He’s taking some serious liberties with traditional theory and managing to make the harmonies work perfectly. Oh - and the chord progression was actually used in a previous album. “The Event” in Juggernaut: Alpha. These guys managed to take something old and make it new. Periphery kicks ass bruh

This is one of the most brutal and haunting prog-metal songs I have ever had listened to. The mixture of Djent, prog-metal and jazz is the one of the most intense experiences I ever had listened to a piece of music, It made my brain completely implode on itself.

No idea what that guy said lmao, but its something that has to grow on you maybe. Then again it certainly isnt for everyone.
Maybe it just hasnt connected with you yet, for me i didnt like it either. Must be years ago now, then it hets stuck in your head and its almost like an itch. Then you listen again to scratch that itch...but you still dont really like it. But it keeps itching if you dont listen to it, so you listen again...and again...and again. And them you notice youre just fucking addicted haha.
And even while i fucking love periphery, each new song i have to get used to.
Didnt know what i was listening to at first, now i cant stop listening again today and probally the coming weeks.
But yeah, sorry for the long message. Hope you'll be able to get into them soon. :)
