That sting right before the orchestral outro of Zagreus is from the Main Titles of the game Hades (in which you play as Zagreus, the son of Hades). Fun lil Easter egg 😎

If you’re lookin for good Periphery, especially with these vibes, Juggernaut (both Alpha and Omega) is a concept double-album that these two singles lyrically and musically reference all over the place.
Definitely need to dive into these

The chorus of "Wildfire" is really "The Event" from Periphery: Juggernaut Alpha So there is also a moment of "Stranger Things" by Juggernaut Omega
In Zagreus, the riff where Spencer does a Briiii 🐷 is from "Four Lights" and the final Breakdown is also from the same song, all by Juggernaut
Also the section where Spencer yells "Searching for something beyond" is the same rhythmic and riff as Reptile
There are many winks and pampering for the fans who have been following them for a long time

Loved those tunes! I was wishing for a jazzy guitar solo like they did on Alpha/Omega, but then they just dropped this jazz/saxophone section and i got out of words...

I couldn't have said it better than "what a journey". The songs are a little long but neither one gets boring so it doesn't feel like it's a long time. I am hoping the album has plenty more awesome "genre bending" sections cause they are killing it with those. Great reaction and video as always mang!

Love these songs!!! I was late to Periphery. Starting listening to them after the last album came. I ended up going back and getting all their old stuff as well.

One of my favorite bands. So excited for new album and tour. Awesome like bands and Spencer has my favorite voice.
The sax part was done by Munkeby from the Norwegian avant-garde / Jazz black metal band

If you like sick riffs, listen to Motormouth by Periphery. Absolutely a staple in their catalogue. Also a few songs off P2 are fantastic (Luck as a Constant, Mile Zero, Scarlet, and Have a Blast --among others). The juggernaut concept albums are also great and quite a bit more similar to these new songs. All of their material is musically fantastic on a technical level, but a lot of it really requires some critical listening and isn't very approachable (coming from a long time fan of theirs).
Periphery never miss a beat. You should check out more of their stuff (literally anything!). Would love to watch! :D

Also Periphery include some humour in some of their songs (like the very end of their song Satellites, one of my fav songs of theirs I highly suggest it). So I'm assuming the album name is just a silly goofy thing.

Facts
If you ever look into Periphery in the future, just know that most of their music are usually this long. Sometimes. Pretty much started around their album Periphery III. Periphery IV is where they kinda went slightly crazy with the lengths of their song. The longest song they have made is Reptile from that album which it almost reaching 18 and a half minutes long.
But the one I can say that depite some of these songs being long, they do take you on a journey and sometimes they go by like it was generic length because of the listener just getting immersed in the music they produce.
Haven't seen one reaction where they reacted to that Hades Theme.

The Song Zagreus is an homage to the Video Game HADES (Zagreus being the name of the main character). At 6:56 they literally play the Theme of that game which is really fucking cool. no a lot of people caught that.

You think these were Journeys... LOL you should react to reptile from the last album. How does 16 minutes of mind fuckery like this sound? or you could go all the way back to the 1st album for Racecar and Zyglrox. For my favorite standard length banger, I d like to turn your attention to Icarus Lives! from the ep of the same name. If you liked these new songs you should definitely check out more. Their music is so intricate with time changes and polyrhythms, and awesome lyrics. Also, the drummer Matt Halpern is one of the best in the biz.

I’ve heard, more than once, that the word “djent” is a form of onomatopoeia that describes the kind of sound present during the riffs with the syncopation, and also the kind of tone you’d hear on the guitars and the bass, the very percussive sound that quite literally sounds like “djun djun djun djun”, etc. So, no, it’s not a genre - it’s a describing word 😂

It was good however, i honestly dont know if I will go back to it. Replay value for me is low. Hopefully there will be some shorter tracks. Like at least around the 6 minute mark. Wildfire is prob my favorite out of the 2 as well. I dont listen to this band normally but I am open to checking the rest out.
