Most Wouldn't Want To Mow This Lawn... (I DO)

- Lawn mowing super nice lawns is always fun... but I have a confession to make... I don't care if it's a nice lawn or a complete disaster... As long as I make money mowing the lawn and am meeting our per man hour rate, then it doesn't matter to me if there's nothing but weeds in the lawn. Here is an example of a lawn that is not very pretty, but it sure is profitable.

MY STORY:
In 2016 I had been in law enforcement for 7 years.
I was not in control of my schedule, I was hardly making any money, and I was away from my family working nights and holidays. I was capable of more, and I was silently suffering. I knew I was selling myself and my family short.
I started Florida Turf Pros as a side hustle in 2016 before going full time in 2017.
My lawn business changed my life.
I control my own schedule, control my own income, and I am proud of what I have built; a business that supports me, my family, and some employees.
If you are a lawn care business owner, this channel will be a valuable resource for you.
This really is a great industry to be in, and I hope that by documenting my journey it will help you.

we love those kind yards, no call backs guarantee. 😂
I don't blame ya man, I cut those types of yards myself. No matter if they have grass or weeds, the money always looks good.
I prefer these yards. Customers are not as picky.
💯
The cash from the scrappy yards spends/invests just as good as the pretty ones.
Brother that yard is cake compared to some of the jungles or deserts I used to mow, lol! Don't blame you for cutting it...but a lot of trimming.
💯
Looks like a great candidate for your sod install service and a nice install video!
💯
Yessr. (You being an open trailer guy, should go with side ramp option for the 36" /recouping what 30+seconds.. yessr 👍🏾)
not a bad idea.
Up sell fert and weed control and the grass would recover.
Are you on Team Mow Anything or Team Lawn Snob?! 😂
Anything
@@alphacharlie65ms Team mow anything! 😂
Team mow anything
Team Mow Anything 💪🏽💰
We do $50 anything under 5k sf. Most are . I also mow anything that grows in a “ LAWN “ .👌💪🏼
I notice you dont use a cutting gaurd on the weed whacher. How do you keep the string tje same length. Reason for the question i notice u can take a pretty big swath vesus me so you dont have to get as close to obstacles with the bigger machine like i do.
It basically keeps itself the same length naturally
😂😂😂😂🎉
I notice you, ya dont wear a guard out there bubba so dangerous!!! 😂
Is the $45 a cut or $45 for the month?
cut
Do you still have crews or solo now ?
I still have crews, but I have been doing some solo mowing lately and have been creating content around that topic for others.
They are building neighborhoods left and right in DFW and they are so poorly thought out. Every gate is 32" or smaller and a lot of times they'll put the A/C units side by side (neighbor to neighbor where u cant fit a 21" mower through lol.. like showing a new homeowner that is hilarious low-key. It's on the builders to put the gate on the other side if that's the case. New builds have become awful since Covid. Yards are horribly bumpy. I've found bricks and plastic just sticking out from under SOD. They put 2 trees that are going to get massive like 8 feet apart in the tiny front yards and nothing in the back lol.
On a serious note. Be very careful buying lennar, Horton, KB, beazer, just horrible quality
You are mowing 8 home for $180 in 1 hour that = $22.50 per home . That is really bad and very cheap. 😂😂😢👎👎👎
Need to recheck your math, homie. 8 homes at 45 a piece is $360 in 2 hours... or.... $180/hr... like the video title says.
Ay. Mr Jonathan, im looking at real estate in region of say lake city west to almost even flotam Al i was scoping out to relocate, but in particular the Monticello/bonifay/ Madison/ all mostly north (avoiding higher wind mitigation etc...) but from the space coast is the location. Question is how much you feel the demand for property/right of way mulching contractor is fairly high?
@FloridaturfPros, your calculations and mine are 2 different formulas , But I come up with the same price. I calculate like this:
45.00 ÷ 15 = 3.00 a minute × 60 = 180.00
Can you show an example through this comment as to how you work your formula out?
I was able to use it on one of your past videos , and it worked out for me but since then, I have not been able to do it.
Im new and starting out a lawn care business with my husband so I got your formula down but my question is do you charge before or after you clean up the yard and would you charge 45 only or 180 even if it took you 15 min to do
We are only starting out with a push mower and weed eater and blower
