thanks for the video , it will help me navigate thunder,,, this is my first full season of MTB, not up to your skill level in anyway but i just like to ride and be out there
Glad to see the Barn Drop is back, looks like they mellowed out the entrance ramp, I think the old on-ramp was what made the feature interesting, certainly more difficult as there was no bailing out once you were on it.
My guess is the entrance ramp was the compromise that had to be made to bring it back. Do I miss the original yes...but it's better than nothing I guess 🤔
I agree, the old ramp was sketchy but fun! It would have been fantastic if they somehow kept the conveyor and just added rails to that. Either way, great to see it back!!! 👍
Definitely would not say no to that, would help fund the channel and allow for expansion on what I do. 😉 But I'm a realist and know that's not happening anytime soon, so I'll take my fun in the sun and the good vibes and be happy.
Yeah he's actually a huge advocate and great source of information for Thunder. Also, even though he "only" gets around 1k views, I bet a high percentage of them are actual riders who go to Thunder. They should at least give him a free season pass to the bike park.
Sunday they did not run the high-speed lift? I was there Friday and Sat. The first time I sent the Jake Drop, I rolled in on trail speed. Almost sent it to the bottom. It is good, but steep for the speed.
Can the green and blue trails be run on an aggressive hardtail? Never been downhill mountain biking and want to very badly. I'm 55 and won't be doing anything seriously aggressive, just want to blast down a mountain and relearn how to jump the jumps on gronk.
progression signs rock, i think those are great. even if you are an expert, want to get a feel for the hill, or warm up?? progression sign has the answer .
I think they're overrating Mouse Trap's difficulty ... How's Sleeping Jakes looking? It was pretty beat up last year and definitely not a flow trail anymore. Love your vids!
It's kinda cool to see the Mountains POV on what ranks where. Also serves as a kinda cool punch list to check off the trails as your progress on the mtn.
Awesome video very helpful 👍 👌 tks
Glad we could help, enjoy your trip!
Great video! Best one yet!! Keep up the good work
Thx my dude!

Glad it helps! Have a great season.
Awesome video man! Thank you so much for making this as it will definitely help on my first day back there this season.
Glad to hear it was worth the time!

You deserve more subs. Very quality content
Thx, much appreciated. If I were a better rider maybe, but we are building slowly. Stoked you enjoy 😉
Thunder should be giving you royalties for making informationals now 😆good stuff man >>> ayyy and I'm famous now :D

So excited to see your videos! They have done a lot of work for this season! I’ll be there this weekend! 🎉
@HW-MTB 🤘

Good to see you still at it.
Thx, it's a tough drug to kick 🤣🫠

Yea, I did not hit the shack drop. I kind of liked the old conveyor climb. Janky, but cool.
They eventually did get the High Speed up and running Sun. It was just after we had put the cams away yo ride for the rest of the day.
Is that a high speed lift I see??? I love that place since it opened but my gripe was the slow lift.
Yes it is! A high speed Quad chair. It's about 4-5 mins to the top now!
Where did you stay while down there
At Thunder? We stay at 1 of a few campgrounds near the park. Thunder also has camping if you want to stay on property.
Honestly didn't even notice the bike wash station, definitely will be there more often at the end of the day
Same

I 100% think you will be A OK. I see quite a good amount of HT riders there.
@@pedalingdownhill7640 Excellent! I'm definitely going there next week! Thanks for the info!

Love your vids!
They smoothed out a good deal, I'd definitely consider it a tech/flow trail
Is Cat n Mouse fully open?
It not open as of opening weekend. Follow their IG to hear it first, but I'll also be posting when it's back.
I always thought Billy Badger was the easiest of the Black Diamond Trails.

I think my next trip up, I’ll do the tech progression until I max out my confidence.
