Lol not Bob Gnarly! Soon as you said that I knew what was about to go down that is a straight old school punisher. Good riding despite the challenges. I will say that even though it's almost always dry and blown out this mountain really pushes you. If anyone wants to be prepared for the black tech or even the braking bumps at whistler this is the ticket in the northeast.

Just rode Thunder on Sunday, and was wondering why that part of sleeping Jake’s was shut down, I was a like bummed because I just started getting comfortable clearing jumps on The Gronk and those looked sick, always a great time at Thunder!

I've only been to Thunder Mountain Bike Park once (for two days of riding at the end of June 2024), but I gotta say - this place is just frickin' AWESOME. There are SO MANY great trails (27 total!) so there's PLENTY of variety, and I don't know how anyone could get bored of this place! Also, if there's a few trails closed down temporarily, there's still tonnes of other trails to ride! On top of all of that, the maintenance and care that Thunder Mountain Bike Park does is amazing, and seeing how they keep their trails in great shape as much as possible just makes me want to go back at least twice a year, even though I live 8 hours away in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. I WISH we had something comparable closer to where I live. Man I miss this place!

It's so amazing how fast mother nature can change the landscape. I was there Friday and there wasn't near as many leaves. I don't think anyone thought there would be that much wind that night

Wow, that wind was crazy. Rode Killington Friday (10/11) and Saturday (10/12), and the wind was blowing strong both days. It looks worse there at Thunder (I am assuming this video was Saturday?). I heard Highland canceled a slopestyle event on Saturday, too. Nice vid PD - thanks!

Sure would have been cool for the mountain to give people a heads up instead of taking our money and having nothing open! It should have been volunteer sign up instead of an open park day!

Jakes has gotten a major face lift. A fun line at the new section is to kind of huck off the side of the drop, over the tape, and then into that new berm. Very fun but watch out for the irrigation ditch right after that berm

Have you considered a chin or visor mount? Maybe it’s just me but I think being able to see the front tire while riding makes the videos better. Great riding!

Man you gotta try doubling the triple hump on cat after the bridge. Landing on the backside of the tall hump is pretty easy and you don’t get bucked by the 3rd hump. It take a lot of pedaling from thy bridge drop until the humps to triple it and clear the whole thing (or I guess have more pop than us normal folks), I’ve only managed to do that once.

are you using the GoPro knockoff of the dji magnetic mount? even with an external microphone you can still hear the clicking/rattling. Or maybe that new mic is just more sensitive.

Nice video man.. I have a love hate relationship with Ripper, it loves to kill me ( OTB 2 times where you had to get off) and I hate riding it. Next seasons goal is to get it clean finally.

Although brake bumps are a norm at creek, it was prob the worst conditions of the season this weekend so don't judge too much. The flow trails were dry, loose, and running slower than normal. Need some of that Thunder dirt lol. The trail crew has done a phenomenal job this season but hoping they bulldoze Dombo next. The only really enjoyable way down from that part of the mountain is Crap Chute (to the right if Ripper and has an awesome big step up) and Frog Pond (nice flow tech section). Alpine is hit or miss depending the conditions. Great video and can't wait to get up your way to thunder before end of season!

Dude! There is so much tech there. I like it! As for the new GoPro, it makes the speed look very good. It looks like the new max lens gives the video slight motion blur.

I was at powder ridge today even though i usually ride thunder and powder ridge is sooooooooo rocky and washed out. Also are you doing the US open next weekend
