after a year of chemotherapy in 2018 left me with with jelly legs and unable to walk without gasping for breath I decided to take up cycling to help build up my cardio and stamina and get me outdoors and then decided to go mtb to get way from traffic I stupidly assumed that after bmx`ing 35 years ago I would be able to rock it so I went to cannock chase in the uk and big mistake cos I broke 3 ribs straight away so im glad to see that even pro`s can take a tumble, and I notice that you didn't fall off. keep on trucking yuka youre an inspiration
The Eastern States Cup stops at Thunder and this year they said the enduro race was the most demanding race they've ever had. Stage six was on wine tree, so after five stages of racing it was tough. There's a lot more riding around here than just the bike park. Across the street from the park is a xc trail system where two of the stages were held. So cool to see you guys coming around this part of the continent!

I would toss in there Juggernaut, another run down Trillium and of course The Gronk.

Cost of rides and attractions. i like the comment on cost of mountain coaster. A few weeks back i had the same talk with guys, Movie for me and little one, $50, for 2 hour tops day on the ski hill $120, but that is 6 + of healthy fun Day on paid MTB trails, $26, we ride until we drop. no lift. Day on of MTB conservation area, $14 Day of ride through free trails $0 next spring will try to take her to lift access park. of course does not include cost of skis or bike. You might forget a movie, but riding with her creates memories for a life time. :)
We are surprised so many riding place on easy cost require fees even though there isn't lift nor shuttles. One if the reasons why we love biking is that it's free to have fun once you have a bike. It's very different system from West coast 🤔

I think has to with a few factors, ownership, liabilities, maintenance, history and culture, and how they weave together. The trails out west have been around for decades, put together by volunteers. East coast is newer and built by paid professionals. Would be a nice documentary, full length, for you to slowly put together. Let me know if you need a hand, I can talk to some people near me. Actually, I was talking to one restore operator a few backs. He runs a hill for gas powered off road vehicles, including dirt bikes. So I asked him why not MTB? In a word Insurance. You have been all over the world riding. In Japan, no skids allowed! In mexico, not so much.
