    Hey Will, my son and I see you at Thunder all the time. Watching you ride is truly inspirational.

      That's so nice of you to say! Comments like these are so amazing to read. Maybe we can catch some laps next season.

      @@DownhillWill12 That would be awesome, maybe you can tow me in for the rest of Fort Hill, I've only done the first 5 or 6 features. You make it look so smooth!
      We'll be sure to say hello next time we see you.

      @@DHFlip18Yes I'd love to. I have it down most of the time but anything can happen. I always try and treat it with respect. But it's one of the most fun trails out there. I was so happy the first time I went top to bottom and nothing has felt like that since.

      @@DownhillWill12 Oh man it'd be sick following you top to bottom on Fort Hill. Aside from Hawleywood, it is the best (and biggest) jump trail on the east coast. Scary at times, especially when it's windy, but it's super fun. Like you said, Gravity Logic did an amazing job building at Thunder Mountain.
      I'm really looking forward to seeing what the next phase looks like. And that new lift should make getting to the top so much faster too.

      Yes I have a feeling thunder is about to get a LOT better. That lift will be great and I heard they have a ton of new trails planned!

    Hey, just wondering how to you mount you GoPro?

    • @DownhillWill12
      @DownhillWill12  9 месяцев назад +1

      Hi there! So I wear a fox rampage pro carbon so it's easy for me. I take zip ties and loop them through the mesh on the front of the chin bar and secure the stock GoPro mount. Not the sticky part but the plastic clip. The camera hangs upside down on the chin bar as that allows for the best angle. I also use the lock setting on my GoPro so none of the footage comes out upside down. If the mesh holes on your helmet are too small you'd just have to cut out the mesh so the zip ties can pass through. Definitely a long winded answer but that's the best way I can describe it without a photo . Hope that makes sense.

    How do u get to the trail above thunder cliffs

    • @DownhillWill12
      @DownhillWill12  11 месяцев назад

      Hmm, there isn't really a trail above thunder cliffs. Do you mean directly above?

    • @EverettByrnes
      @EverettByrnes 10 месяцев назад

      @@DownhillWill12 when I get towards the bottem I look up and see a steep chute that looks like something above thunder cliffs, I don’t know if that is an actual trail you can ride

    • @DownhillWill12
      @DownhillWill12  10 месяцев назад

      @@EverettByrnesYeah that isn't really a trail. It's a locals line. You just kinda have to bush whack up the hill right as you drop into Thunder cliffs off Jakes. It's pretty hard to find if I recall correctly

    • @DownhillWill12
      @DownhillWill12  Год назад

      I actually haven't gotten there yet. Gonna be making a few trips down next season though. I have friends that say it's best ridden on a dh rig or a big travel Enduro and that the place is bony. Can't say for myself. Happy trails !

      @willymtbb Год назад

      @@DownhillWill12 very bony on some of the tech trails but the flow trails are something else down there.

    • @topspot4834
      @topspot4834 9 месяцев назад

      @@DownhillWill12very bony, best to get there early in the season ... It's a fun park if you're good. When I was starting out I had a tough time (and have the scars to prove it) but I didn't know anything else. I went to Killington and realized just how difficult Creek is ... Definitely made me a better rider, with the exception of Ft Hill and a few tech trails there's nothing I don't hit.

    • @DownhillWill12
      @DownhillWill12  9 месяцев назад

      @@topspot4834definitely excited to get down to creek. Really looking forward to all the drops they have there . I love rocky trails since breaking rims is a hobby of mine so I'm sure Creek and I will get along great. Hahaha. It's amazing how a hard riding spot makes a good rider. Definitely been there myself. Happy trails

    Can I make a suggestion? Re-title it to a "Local's Guide to Thundermountain" you may get some more views. It's a really good video. I enjoyed it, plus I like knowing that I actually see you riding around so I feel more 'connected' to the video if that makes sense?

    • @DownhillWill12
      @DownhillWill12  Год назад +1

      I really appreciate the suggestion. I originally titled the video more generally and found it wasn't coming up in searches. Changed it to it's current title and had better luck. Still trying to work out the RUclips algorithm lol. I'm so glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the other feedback. Happy trails!
